-_-; Yes, we've all heard of that terrible name. The infamous Anime Dubbing studio that ripped poor Dragonball/DBZ to pieces... Well Yes that is the company that snagged YYH unfortunately. However, from what I have seen so far, it hasn't been that bad. Let's just say it could have been a lot worse...a LOT worse my friends. So here is the place where I cant rant on a bit about their *cough* glorious dubbing abilities....*gag*



OK first off, let me just say that not ALL the voices are poorly done. For instance, Genkai's I believe is excellent and probably suits her the best. And not all the dialogues are that bad either surprisingly. Yusuke does have some pretty clever one-liners. Demo, just because it's FUNi, I have to pick on them. I'll rate the voices in comparison with the JVAs by using the five star (*) range.

First off, let's start on probably the number one, worst dubbed voice in the series so far, which is poor Koenma-Daioh. Sean Teague shows off his talent as the voice of the prince of Rei-Kai. -_-; This poor kid has become a thirty year old man in a four year old's body. Yeah yeah, they got the smartass/little kid/bossy thing goin' on. But overall, its just too old, and not cute enough! A girlier little kid voice would suit him better... Ami's Rating: *

The next worst one, probably tied with Koenma's, is poor Kuwabara. *cries* I feel so bad for this boy!! Not only is he the ugly, stupid, and least liked of the four, but he now has THE most annoying voice ever!! I can definitely tell this is Chris Sabat (Piccolo, Vegeta, etc., etc. from DBZ) pulling off that horrid WWF pro-wrestler type voice. I know Kuwa-chan is the loud mouthed baka of them all, but I mean come on!! Cut him some slack! O_o; Ami's Rating: *

In the original Japanese version, I think Botan has the cutest voice! XD So kawaii! Demo, in the FUNi dubs, Botan definitely lost some of her cuteness. I don't think Cynthia Cranz (Chi-Chi from DBZ) can decide whether Botan has somewhat of this English accent thing going on or what. Sometimes she does...others she doesn't Oo; *is confused* To be honest, I have no idea. *shrugs* She does have the giggle pretty good though. Ami's Rating: ***

I feel your pain Kurama! X0! *rips hair out* OK, here's where I get upset. All I have to say is that John Burgmeier upsets me with his performance of Kurama/Minamino Shuuichi. Yes yes, I know he's calm, serene, and intelligent sounding!! But he also makes him sound like a Grandpa with all his stupid little sidenote lines. Like for example: "Did you know that in some species, a child eats its mother?" or even "A prize worth having, usually requires a risk." Thanks for that wisdom, I'll log it away somewhere.... And speaking of grandpas! Kurama just how old are you really? It seems Johnny boy makes you sound 15 going on 45! I didn't expect them to use a girl seiyuu for Kurama like they did in Japanese, but...but why does everyone sound so old?! ;-; *floodcries* Ami's Rating: ***

Hiei, Hiei, Hiei...you poor boy. Chuck Huber projects you to be such a snobby little demon brat. The speedy youkai had a pretty sexy voice in Japanese...Very deep and calm ^_~ Y'know? But now little Hiei lost most of his coolness. Chucky boy does do the little "Hn."'s and "Hmph"'s all right, but I guess it's just not the same. I'm not saying I expect them to be exactly alike, but this FUNi Hiei voice creates a kind of spastic, quick-tempered demon, instead of a....well...calmer, quick-tempered one.... O___o; OK I really have nothing else to say about Hiei, it's actually not really that bad. XD Ami's Rating: ***

Yay! Yusuke! You're voice is actually pretty good! *pats Justin Cook on the back* It's more sarcastic than his seiyuu... But I think that adds to his character ^___^ FUNi also has given Yusuke some pretty sarcastic lines in the show, so maybe that goes along with it. @@; I like both Yusuke's JVA and FUNi one pretty much equally. *hides from all Yusuke fans* I really don't think it's that bad!!! *crawls away* Ami's Rating: **** Keiko's isn't that bad either. I really don't have much to say about hers anyway. She sounds nice, stern, and kinda cute like she does in the other one. Good job Laura Bailey! ^_~ Ami's Rating: ****

Hooray!! Weeee, Genkai! You sound almost exactly the way I thought in both FUNi's and the Original version! Of course, she's only supposed to really sound like a bossy, funny, sarcastic old lady who curses a lot, which Linda Young can obviously do. ^___^ Ami's Rating: *****
