Pilot 04 ~ Quatre Raberba Winner

Name: Quatre Raberba Winner (No, this is *not* a joke. That is really his name.)
Number: 04
Gundam: Sandrock and Sandrock Custom
Nationality: Arabian
Home: L4
Known Family: Father, Iria (older sister) and 28 other sisters (really!)
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Blue-green
Additional Information: Quatre is followed by the forty or so members of the Maguanac Corps, the most famous being Rashid, Abdul and Auda. He met them after they kidnapped him and the shuttle he was on as collateral to return to Earth from the mining colony they formally worked on. Quatre told them to save their effort for his father could always make another one of him. He grew up thinking he was a clone, not knowing that he was the only child out of his parents' thirty children that was naturally born. His mother, Catherine, died shortly after his birth, and Quatre was raised by his father and sisters.

During his encounter with the Maguanacs, Quatre learned that all forty members were born through artificial means, and that even if he was born unnaturally,  he was alive and that was something that was to be cherished. Soon after, the leader of the Maguanacs, Rashid, was shot and Quatre helped lead the Corps into battle to pay back his previous bratty behaviour. That is how he managed to obtain those horrid goggles that he can be found to wear when leading the Maguanacs, as Master Quatre.

Although a pacifist at heart, Quatre sees the need for some fighting to protect the weak and argues with his father over such ideas. When Mr. Winner and he still do not reach a resolution, Quatre leaves L4 on the Gundam Sandrock, built by the mysterious Instructor H - who he met during the Maguanacs' raid on the Winner shuttle. The argument continues on through the series, until Mr. Winner's untimely death by blowing up the Winner mining colony he was upon.

Naturally,  Quatre does not take very well to watching his father die, and finds the plans to the strongest Gundam in the Earth Sphere. Not only does Quatre built the infamous Wing Zero, but he begins to get revenge for his father's death by using the machine - Against the colonies he swore to protect! He was ultimately stopped by Heero, but not before he destroyed the Gundam Vayate that Trowa was piloting at the time. That's right, folks. Quatre is responsible for Trowa's amnesia.

Another interesting thing about Quatre's nature is that he is rather gentle and caring about his friends. Also, he has something that he calls his space heart, or an uchuu no kokoro in Japanese. This seems to allow him to be able to tell the well being of his friends and the other pilots. He is the closest thing to a psychic in the whole series, and seems to not like it all that much. Also, another thing about Quatre that seems to be rather important is the fact that he plays the violin, and quite well. There is even a scene in episode four where he and Trowa have a duet with Q's violin and Trowa on a flute.
