2/2001            CADDYSHACK  starring Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield, Ted Knight,
                                directed by Harold Ramis
Quite possibly one of the funniest movies ever. It holds up to repeated viewings. You can enjoy it drunk OR sober. Classic '80s comedy featruing an ensemble cast that is perfect beyond belief. Also highly quotable!   Follow Danny, the caddy, through his escapades at the bushwood estate golf course and all the oddballs therein. I quote this movie more than any other.

1/2001            BLADE RUNNER  starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Daryl Hannah, Brion James,
                                                                        M. Emmet Walsh, Edward James Olmos,
                                directed by Ridley Scott
A banner movie. One of the best sci-fi films EVER. This movie has influenced modern visual culture more than any other single event since its release. A finely told film noir adaptation of Philip K. Dick's (my fave author) Do Androis Dream of Electric Sheep? Even though Ford hates this film and the enormous controversy over the whole 'is Deckard a replicant or not', it feature James' best performance, probably hauer's best, and one of the very few times that I could stand Hannah. She even looks like a female in this periodically.  ( I think Deckard is Human, BTW)
