A few nights later, in the middle of a large ocean, a tiny island hid in the moonlight. The palm trees swayed with the gentle but strong ocean breeze, and the waves roughly lapped at the smooth white sand. It was peaceful.
Inside the somewhat large four-bedroom pink house, everyone slept soundly. Oolong, a short and chubby pig, snored soundly as he held his covers tightly around him. Meijin Roshi lay sprawled out in his futon, sleeping happily as he dreamt of beautiful women. Krillin and Number Eighteen lay beside one another in the double sized futon, soundlessly sleeping. Marron twisted and turned in her small bed, but she was soon calmed by the comforting sounds of the ocean.
Suddenly, Krillin quickly sat up. It was something strong. Something real strong.
"Eighteen, wake up." He whispered, shaking his wife gently.
The blonde android slowly opened her blue eyes and then she too quickly sat up, "What is it?"
"Not sure, but it’s not good. We’d better wake everybody up." He said, climbing out of bed and pulling on his orange gi similar to Goku’s.
"Yup. It’s mighty strong." Meijin Roshi agreed, concerned but not worried.
"I’d better head that way. I want you to stay here." Krillin said to his now fully dressed wife.
Number Eighteen nodded, holding their young daughter in her arms.
"If it gets too dangerous, run away." She said, completely serious.
Krillin nodded as he made his way to the door.
"Be careful." Oolong called as he watched Krillin leave.
"How strong is it, Goku?" Krillin asked as he slowed to a stop in midair.
Goku hovered several miles away from the area the power was in. It was strong. Real strong. Maybe even stronger than himself. He’d felt it in the middle of the night and had made his way to the exact spot he was at now, trying to think of the best way to deal with this. It was obvious that it was evil. He could feel it. He could also sense that it was much like himself.
"It must be Saiyajin." He said out loud by accident.
"You’re right." Vejita said, hovering closer to Goku than necessary.
"Saiyajin?" Yamcha asked as he stopped beside Krillin, "I thought there weren’t anymore left."
Yamcha was more than a little worried. The first time he’d come across the Saiyajin, long ago, he’d ended up dead.
Smiling to himself, Yamcha thought it was ironic that Vejita had been their enemy so long ago. Now he was one of their strongest warriors. Vejita had even helped, in his own way, to gather the dragon balls to wish for his revival along with Piccolo’s, Tien’s, and Chiaotzu’s so long ago.
Now Yamcha was wearing an orange gi like Goku and Krillin’s and was waiting for the others.
"Son, do you think we can beat this?"
Everyone turned to see Piccolo behind them. He was wearing a violet gi tied with a blue sash, a large white cape with wide shoulder armor, and a white turban. He must have come straight from Kami’s temple.
"We don’t have any other choice." Goku said simply, his brow wrinkled in determination.
"Tien! Chiaotzu!" Krillin called as the two warriors arrived.
It had been a long time since any of them had seen them. Tien was a three-eyed warrior who stood tall and was bald. He was wearing a green gi tied with a red sash that crossed over only one shoulder, leaving the other bare. Chiaotzu had skin as white as snow and looked like a small child. He’d once been the emperor of a large kingdom. Now he was Tien’s best friend, never leaving the three-eyed man’s side. Chiaotzu was wearing green gi pants tied with a red sash and a white muscle shirt.
"Hi, guys. It’s been a while." Chiaotzu greeted in his usual high-pitched voice.
"What are we up against?" Tien asked in his normally serious attitude.
"A Saiyajin. A strong one." Yamcha said, turning his attention back to the location of the power they all sensed.
"Gohan…" Piccolo said as he watched the teenager slow to a stop.
Gohan was wearing a gi of his father's.
"Gohan, I told you to stay with your mother and brother." Goku scolded without turning to face his son.
They were all surprised. None of them had ever heard their truest friend discipline his son.
"But… Dad…" Gohan began, trying to explain.
"This is too strong for you. It’s too strong for any of you." Goku said honestly.
"That doesn’t mean we’re going to stand by and do nothing." Tien said, tensing up.
"Son, you know us better than that." Piccolo said, trying to knock some sense into Goku.
"He’s right. You should all go home." Vejita said through a smirk.
"Vejita, you should go too." Goku said with the same straightforward honesty.
"Bullshit. I’m much stronger than you, Kakarotto."
Suddenly, it dawned on him. Goku didn’t plan on surviving this.
Goku sighed, "Come if you want. Just know I warned you."
With that Goku blasted off in the direction of the enemy. He could feel all of them following him. He knew good and well that whoever it was that wait before them was in fact waiting. Surely, the mystery Saiyajin was capable of sensing ki and knew of their presence.
They were closer now and Krillin could see the large crater that had been created due to the tiny sphere shaped ship of the Saiyajin. At least there was only one this time.
Gohan was feeling somewhat ashamed for having displeased his father, but there was no point in worrying about it now. There were more important things at hand.
Goku landed, touching down in a small clearing. The others all landing behind him, except Vejita, who was close beside him. A little too close. Their location was all dirt and rock. It was a desert with plateaus everywhere. Before them stood a man. A Saiyajin.
"Who are you?" Goku called out, watching as the man stepped closer.
The Saiyajin was a tall man with a large build and short cropped off hair that stood on end with large bangs that covered much of his eyes. Like most pureblooded Saiyajin, his hair was black as well as his cold eyes. He was wearing Saiyajin armor much like Vejita used to wear, a dark blue spandex bodysuit, a sleeveless white plate of armor, and white gloves and boots. His face was stern and he had a sharp chin with a large scar crossing over one eye and down to his jaw without hindering his vision.
"Burokkori. My name is Burokkori."
--------------------------------------
The large pink house on the tiny island seemed smaller than ever at the moment. Puar, a small bluish gray flying cat, was there worrying over his friend, Yamcha’s absence. Bulma was there with Trunks, talking worriedly with Number Eighteen and keeping a tight hold on her curious half-Saiyajin son.
"Hiya, Trunks." Marron said happily, completely unaware of the danger as her mother held her loosely in her lap.
Meijin Roshi explained what was going on and what all he could sense, trying to keep everyone calm. Oolong listened closely, telling himself that everything was fine. That it was nothing.
"Hiya, Grandpa." Goten chimed as he scooted over, making room for the large man.
Ox King, Chi-Chi’s father, was a huge man that wasn’t too bright. He had a mustache and beard and wore a hat with two horns on it, a white button up long sleeve shirt, and a pair of brown pants with suspenders.
"Get in, Dad." Chi-Chi said impatiently, revving the bright red hover car.
The large man climbed into the roomy car, "Hi, Goten, Chi-Chi. What’s going on?"
Speeding away, Chi-Chi explained what had happened, "Goku woke me up last night, telling me that some strong enemy was waiting for him. He told me to take Gohan and Goten to Roshi’s place and keep them safe."
"Well, where is Gohan?" The man asked, just now realizing that the teen wasn’t there.
"He’s with Dad." Goten said, pouting that he was unable to go too.
"He took off just after Goku." Chi-Chi said, pressing the gas pedal down just a little further.
"Brother told me he was gonna go help and that I had ta stay."
Chi-Chi, a little more frustrated with the whole situation, pressed the gas pedal down to the floorboard, causing the hover car to jerk slightly before taking off at full speed.
Oolong jumped as the front door flung open, throwing himself at Bulma’s feet, holding on for dear life.
"Get off, coward!" Bulma screeched, kicking the pudgy porker away, "It’s only Chi-Chi."
"Oh… Hi there, Chi-Chi." Roshi said, knowing that she was going to upset everyone with her constant worrying.
"Hiya, Trunks!" Goten yelled as he ran into the house and faked an attack on the lavender haired boy as a greeting to his best friend.
"I’m so glad everyone is here." Ox King said, entering the house as well, closing the door behind him.
Together they talked and worried over their loved ones, hoping that everything was going well.
