Kakarotto sat quietly in the large room he and Vejita now shared. It was the king's room. Vejita had insisted on redoing everything. He demanded their be little to no embellishment. So, things were dull but perfect.
"Pa pa pa pa pa…" Kabu cooed, reaching upwards.
Kakarotto smiled down at his son, who was lying on his back on the large beg, "Heh, I don't know if you're talkin' about me or Jita." He said through a smile.
"Pa pa pa pa pa…" Kabu continued, more urgently now.
"Okay, okay, let's go find him." Kakarotto said, lifting the hefty nine-month-old up in his arms.

Vejita sighed, slouching somewhat in his large throne. He spent one entire day a week in the immense room, discussing economic and political issues with royals, sentencing criminals, and simply solving problems. Things were going well though. The economy was more than good. As far as he knew, there were little to no homeless. An anti-cruelty law had been passed, preventing the harsh treatment of slaves and low class soldiers. There were no purging missions planned, at least, not until it was necessary. He'd also ordered the palace physician to inject all the new born low class soldiers with a certain serum. There were few Saiyajin and fewer females.
"Sire, Retasu here to see you." Nappa said as the warrior approached. The bulky bodyguard remained just that, the king's bodyguard. He had large quarters beside the king and remained by his side at all times.
"Are you the last?" Vejita asked, sitting up.
Chuckling, "Yes, Sire, I'm afraid so. Nothing much to report. The soldiers just returned from holiday. Oh, and I might add, it's practically common knowledge that Kakarotto is your mate as well as Prince Kabu's birth."
"Hn, that's good."

"You talkin' about me again?" Kakarotto said through a grin as he stepped into the room, gurgling prince in hand.
"I was just finishing up. I thought I told you to stay in our quarters." Vejita said, annoyance evident in his tone.
"I know, I know… But Kabu-chan wants his papa. He keeps sayin'."
Vejita smirked, "Of course he does." He said, rising from his throne to take the child in his arms. Instantly, the prince quieted, resting his head on his father's shoulder.
"You're gonna watch him? I gotta meet Raditz in tha trainin' hall." Kakarotto said, already heading for the exit.
"But… Oh, I guess! Baka…" the king hissed, also heading for the exit, "See you next week, Retasu."
"Of course, Sire." The warrior said, bowing before taking leave.
"Seems Raditz and Kakarotto are back to normal." Nappa said as they neared their chambers.
"Hn." Was all the king said in reply before entering his room, leaving Nappa to go to his own room.

"Hiya!" Kakarotto greeted, stepping into the large training hall.
"Ready for a quick spar?" Raditz questioned, smirking.
"I guess, but is that all you wanted?" the boy asked, tilting his head in curiosity.
"Well, I just wanted to say I'm sorry… For taking it personal on Namek." Raditz mumbled.
"Oh, no problem."
"So, how is Prince Kabu?" Raditz asked. He'd seen the child not long ago, but was just curious. He still served as Kakarotto's bodyguard and lived in quarters just across the hall from the king's room.
"Great. He keeps on sayin' 'Pa pa pa pa!' It's so cute." Kakarotto said through a grin.
Raditz couldn't help but laugh.
