It had been three days. Three long days and the "expert" physician had arrived twenty-four hours ago. Yet still, Kakarotto was sedated, lying lifelessly. Vejita's stress level was through the roof. So many things were happening at once. It was too much. His father spoke with him every day about the boy's recovery, urging him to leave. The uprising was expected any day.
"Sire."
The prince looked up to see the old fool standing in the entrance of the tiny room in which his mate lay, "What?"
"I think I may have something."
Vejita instantly perked up, "What is it?"
The older man, clearly not Saiyajin, shuffled in, taking a seat in a nearby chair, "Have you ever heard of the Shinsetsu?"
"Aren't they the inhabitants of the planet you've just come from?" Vejita questioned, eyeing the shriveled up fool.
"Yes, yes, they are. They are kind, kind people. In fact, I happen to be one half Shinsetsu-"
"On with it old man." Vejita hissed, growing impatient.
"Of course, Sire. The Shinsetsu have the ability to borrow power from one another. And since I am half, I figured I could lend the boy some of my ki, but the truth is, I have little to spare. So, I was thinking I could borrow some from you, and then transfer it to the boy."
"And it took you an entire day to come up with this!?" Vejita barked, "Never mind! When can we do it?"
"Whenever you like."
"Well, come on. Let's do it." The prince said, getting excited.
"Very well, Sire." The old man said, slowly rising to his feet and stepping over to the prince, reaching out to place his hands on the prince's chest.
"What the Hell are you doing?" Vejita asked, jumping to his feet.
"It's how it's done, Sire."
"Tell me what you're going to do before you do it." Vejita hissed, standing still as the old man approached again. His hands were cold and the prince shivered, when suddenly, his entire body seemed to be heating up, like he was powering up. It wasn't much though.
"More." Vejita managed, finding it hard to speak let alone move. His body continued to heat up as the old man drew forth nearly a fourth of his ki. And as quickly as it had taken for him to power up, he was powered down. Finding it a bit strange to suddenly be so much weaker, Vejita plopped back down on the bed, his legs unsteady. Looking to his left, he watched as the old man, who was panting now, placed glowing golden hands on his mate's chest. After only a few moments he was done, and he barely made it back to his chair as he fell into it exhausted.
Vejita sat up, moving closer to Kakarotto. He could sense him. He could sense the boy's ki. Oh, and it was so beautiful. Gently, he began removing all the tubes, feeling more than delighted as cool skin began to heat up.
"Jita…" came a faint whisper.
"I'm here."
Kakarotto slowly sat up, marveled at the warmth he felt within, "How did you do it?"
"I gave you some of my ki." Vejita said, finding it unbelievably hard not to smile.
"But… But I still have this weird feeling inside…"
"Ah, that's because you're pregnant my son." The old man said, piping up after some of his energy had returned.
"Pregnant?" the boy mimicked, his eyes wide, "How?"
After explaining everything, the prince found it surprising that the boy was actually excited.
"How long is it gonna take?" Kakarotto asked, sitting up on his own.
"Well, you're a little more than three months, so about three more months." The old man said, smiling at the boy's innocence.
Vejita couldn't have been happier. Of course, his father and more than half of his people were going to be murdered at any moment, but at least his mate was happy and back to his old self and to top it off, he was going to be a father.
"Can you walk?" Vejita questioned, becoming serious. After receiving a quick nod, Vejita stood, leaving the room and the med. lab with Kakarotto in tow.

"Damn it! Where are those fools?" Vejita cursed, looking up and down one of the main corridors.
"My stomach hurts, Jita… Can't we get somethin' to eat?" Kakarotto whined.
"No, baka. There's going to be an uprising soon. We have to leave the planet, now."
Just then, they heard a loud explosion, "Shit! It's already begun. We have to get out of here!" Vejita growled loudly, running for the palace entrance, Kakarotto right behind him, panting. It didn't take them long to reach the large entrance. Soldiers and guards were everywhere and it was hard to tell who was fighting who. It was insanity.
"Jita…" Kakarotto whispered, not expecting it to be this bad. Before he could finish his thoughts, however, his prince had him by the arm and was dragging him back the way they'd come.
"Shit! Shit! Shit!" Vejita repeated, speeding down a corridor when he suddenly heard his name being called. Spinning on his heels, he hurried into the immense throne room, hoping to find Nappa and Raditz.
"Vejita, what are you still doing here!?" the king said in utter shock.
"The entrance, it's blocked, and I can't find-"
"Forget them!" the king interrupted, "Just get the Hell out of here!"
"But… The entrance…" the prince said, trying his hardest to think of a way out. There was no way to just blast through the walls or roof. The palace was built of the thickest, strongest metal known, and even if it were possible, it would take far too long. He could here angry footsteps nearing.
"Jita!" Kakarotto piped up, "I know a way, a secret way!"
The king could help but smile with relief, "Now go! And be careful, my son."
Vejita nodded, trying his best to remember every detail of his father's face. He then turned to his mate, "Let's go."
"What about brother? And Nappa?"
"They can take care of themselves. Come on." Vejita said, taking hold of the boy's arm and hurrying out of the room, running at full speed to the end of the corridor.
The king couldn't help but continue smiling. It was a strange thought, but he liked seeing them together, speaking with one another. It was as if they truly loved one another. It wasn't the usual need to control and dominate another Saiyajin, it was more. It really was love.
Suddenly, smoke filled the room and many bloodstained warriors barged in.
Vejita grimaced at the sounds of his father's pained scream, most likely from powering up to his max, only to be destroyed, murdered.
Finally, they reached the end, "Which way?"
Kakarotto didn't bother answering, instead rushing in the right direction, Vejita close behind him. His legs burned from not using them with proper strength in so long. His lungs felt as if they were about to rip apart, they were so sore. Still, he ran on. Their boots pounding against metal floors and squeaking as they skidded around corners.
"In here." Kakarotto said, slamming his fist into the small clearance pad, causing the door to slide open. He didn't have time to search for the entrance button.
"Where are we?" Vejita mumbled, surprised that such a large room was unknown to him.
"I think it used ta be tha old med. lab." Kakarotto said, panting and gasping for air as he rushed to one of the many doors, using the same force to open it.
Vejita was so surprised, "How do you know this?"
"I was comin' here ta think for a little while," Kakarotto said with a half smile, stepping out into the darkness of outside, "Does this help?"
Vejita followed suit, Looking from side to side, "Yes, I think the launch bay is this way. Come on." And again they were running.

"Nappa, I think it's them!" Raditz exclaimed, pointing at the two warriors quickly approaching.
"It is them! Keep the rebels back while I prep the space pods." Nappa said, rushing to a large control panel, built much like a large podium, pressing buttons and turning knobs. The three ships began humming, lifting inches off the ground, their hatches slowly hissing open.
Skidding to a stop, Vejita approached Nappa, "Is everything set?"
"Yes, all we have to do is go."
"Kakarotto, get in!" Vejita yelled over the noise. More warriors were coming and Raditz was having a bit of trouble keeping them back.
"Nappa, Raditz, take off, now!" the prince bellowed, waiting for the two bodyguards to get in each of there ships and take off.
Kakarotto sat back, waiting impatiently for his mate to come back. He watched as the prince slowly powered up, his ki shooting through the roof as his body began glowing in bright golden light.
Vejita waited for the fools to get close enough before unleashing his power, firing one of his most powerful ki blasts at the whole lot of them. His father would have to be satisfied… It was all he could do to avenge him.
"Jita!"
Snapping out of his thoughts, the prince turned, jumping into the space pod he shared with boy, frantically pressing buttons as soon as the door closed. With unbelievable speed, they were blasted out of the planet's atmosphere.
Powering down, Vejita flipped an intercom switch, "Nappa? Raditz?"
"Yes, Sire?" replied the bodyguards in unison. All three of their space pods were hovering above the red planet.
"Where are we going? What are the coordinates?"
"Planet Namek, 9045XY." Nappa answered. (A/N: I went through my DBZ DVD's and that's the for real coordinates! ^_^)
"Very well." The prince said, punching the coordinates into the control panel.
"See ya there." Kakarotto said just before Vejita flipped off the intercom switch.
With that, the three space pods blasted off into space, leaving a white energy trail in their wake.
