SESSION 16: "BLACK DOG SERENADE"

On board a prison ship, a tall, thin black man finishes killing the guards. His hair is short and his moustache is thin. The ship is off course, and a power shortage has given the prisoners complete control of the ship, leaving the guards dead and a group of murderers in control.

On board the Bebop, Faye is complaining to Jet. The shower is broke, yadda yadda...it's typical. The comm rings, and Faye is rather quick to hang up when Jet informs her it may have been another job. When the comm rings again, she answers and tells Jet that it's someone named Fad, then tells him that he'll call him back. Without even realizing it, Jet's cigarette burns down to nothing, the hot end touching his artificial arm, leaving Faye to wonder why he didn't have that fake arm replaced.

At ISSP headquarters, Jet meets up with his old partner and learns that Udai Taxim has escaped...

Seven years earlier, Jet and Fad were in the process of catching Udai Taxim, a murderer with the European Syndicate. Fad went one way, while Jet attempted to head him off. When Jet finally catches up with Udai, a bright light shines and Jet instinctively raises his arm. That arm saved his life, as Udai fired a single shot...

Back on the Bebop, Jet finally gives in. He hops in the Hammerhead and heads off with Fad in an old ISSP ship. Jet heads out in his Hammerhead to board the ship, hoping to finally settle the score with Udai.

Finally meeting up with Udai, the two struggle briefly, but when Jet comments on how he only came back because his missing arm wanted him to, Udai spills all the beans...

Seven years earlier, Jet and Fad were in the process of catching Udai Taxim, a murderer with the European Syndicate. Fad went one way, while Jet attempted to head him off. When Jet finally catches up with Udai, a bright light shines and Jet instinctively raises his arm. Jet's arm saves his life at the cost of it's own existence, resulting in Jet's artificial arm. But the light blocks the truth. High above, holding the rifle which fired the shot, is Jet's old partner...Fad.

Udai doesn't get the chance to say much more, as Fad appears and shoots him in the head. It looks like Fad is going to get the drop, but Jet fires first...doesn't he? It turns out that Fad only brought one bullet, sentencing himself to death. Jet moves Fad's arm to hold the gun and limps off...

SEE YOU SPACE COWBOY...
