Turles, an evil Saiyan who works for Frieza, has arrived on Earth with a deadly mission: To plant the seeds of the Tree of Might. The Tree of Might, more commonly known as Tree of Death, was created to make fruit specifically for the Eternal Dragon. Whenever the fruit is consumed by anyone else, it gives that person superhuman strength. Unfortunatly, the fruit will also drain the energy of whatever planet the tree is planted on until it is a lifeless husk!

King Kai tells Goku of the danger, via telepathy. He relays the message to Yamcha, Tien, and Chaotzu who decide to set out to destroy the tree. Unfortunately, the whole crew appears and launches a deadly attack which does absolutly nothing to the tree!

Up above in the tree, the Z fighters run into agents of Turles. Meanwhile, Turles uses his artificial moonlight to transform Gohan and enrage Goku.

Alone against the army, Goku quickly defeats them all in his rage. Meanwhile, Piccolo arrives and attempts to defeat Turles, but to no avail.

Enraged, Goku attempts to defeat Turles but is thrown from the tree. The rest of the Z fighters arrive and try to defeat Turles, but he proves to be too much for the beaten fighters. Meanwhile, Goku attempts to use a Spirit Bomb, but Turles easily destroys it, leaving a completely drained Goku defeated and alone.

Listening to the pleas of his fallen friends, Goku is able to muster enough energy to draw power from the fruit of the tree. He is able to use a strong enough blast to destroy Turles, and the tree. Upon it's destruction, the energy in the fruits returns to Earth and restores it to it's original condition.
