Shin sat on the ground with his back leaning against the cave where Gohan used to hide Icarus. The weather was nice and the sun was high in the sky. The sky was a rich light blue and a few clouds covered the sky with a poke-a-dot fashion. In a near by tree, a couple of squirrels were heard bickering, what Shin thought, was about who got the last acorn.
It was only a year since Majin Buu had been defeated and a few months ago that Shin and Kibito had found a way to diffuse. Even though it had been awhile the memory what Buu did many, many years back, clung to him like his own skin.

Shin lay on the grass reading one of his favorite books when laughter was heard a few yards away. South was chasing after West to get what seemed to be a larger-than-normal sized rice cake. It was South’s favorite. Shin sat up from his reading, excited by this show. West ran to the edge of a cliff. South coaxed her to give him the rice ball, but since the female deity didn't want to give in, she threw the rice ball over the edge. South lost his senses, because if he didn't, he would've of flown down to get it. He made splash in the water and North yelled at him for scaring all the fish away.

Shin smiled. He remembered the event like it was yesterday. The others then were the only friends he had. He looked down startled little by the sound of the two squirrels sitting next to him. One squirrel held up an acorn. Shin chuckled and took the acorn and patted the two squirrels lighty on their heads.
"Thank you." he said.
The gave what came close to a smile and ran back up a near by tree content by their generous offer. Shin closed his eyes and smile once more. A single tear fell from his eye.

Shin joined West at the edge of the cliff and watched South parade over his victory.
"West, you're so mean at times." he said, laughing.
"I know," she replied, giggling.
She got up and started to walk away. South and North gathered next to Shin. Suddenly, there was an explosion next to where West was. When the smoke cleared the three saw West fighting a tall pink monster. She managed land one punch on the intruder before she was kicked into a mountain. The pink monster formed a energy ball and blasted it at West ending her life. North attacked next but soon followed behind West. Then South attacked. He seemed be giving the creature some trouble. The monster realizing this used the horn-like organ attached to its head to absorb South. Shin watched in anger and fear as his friends were defeated and destroyed one by one. The absorbtion left the being with a more muscular body. Shin could no longer contain his anger. He attacked. The monster toyed with the young deity. Shin lost all energy and no mattered how hard he tried he couldn't weaken the monster and soon was being kicked around like a ripped rag doll. The tired deity now laid on the ground. His body made it too painful to move on his own. Now tired of the weak being Buu again formed an energy beam and shot it at Shin. Dai Kaioshin appeared in front of him and deflected the blast. Dai gathered his energy and fired and energy blast that blew Buu to pieces. Victory was thought to be there's until the pieces began to come together to form Buu.
"This can't be!" Dai exclaimed.
A being that until now was unnoticed stepped out.
"But it is. Finish him now."
Buu laughed and absorbed Dai just like he did to South. Then the two thinking or may have forgotten, left the holy planet leaving Shin clinging to his life.

Shin opened his eyes. He tried so hard to forget, but it wouldn't go away. Still, their lives were avenged a year ago. He stood up and teleported over to Goku's house. Goten may need someone to play with and his life was too long to not have fun.
