Confession

Loren watched Trunks walk out of the training room.  It had been a week since the fateful day of the carnival and both of them were showing obvious signs of stress.  Trunks stopped and glanced at the window.  He watched her place her hand on the glass and tearfully gaze out at him.  He wiped the tears from his eyes and turned away from her.  She watched him walk away and sniffed.

“How long are we going to put up with this?”  Vegeta asked.

“It hurts so much to see them like this. Gohan’s here. Hopefully he can get the poor boy’s mind on something else,” Bulma said as she watched Loren phase through the wall.

Loren walked to the site where she had first crashed onto Earth.  She sat on a jagged rock and gazed tearfully at the sky.  She changed into her true form, a combination of the two separate forms, and sighed.

“Please hear me. I need some help. Why are you doing this to me? I don’t understand. What have I done wrong? Hasn’t this plain been kept free of demons? Why has the link been suspended? Why? Please tell me why you are doing this. Wasn’t I supposed to  save him? How can I be one of you if I can’t communicate with you? Can’t you see the pain it’s causing him?”  she asked as tears streamed down her face.

The sky echoed with her cry of anguish and Bulma tightly embraced Vegeta.  Vegeta frowned at her touch and glanced away.  The  intense pain that Loren felt in her heart was too much for even him.  He angrily clenched his hand and pushed Bulma away.

“I’ve had enough. Something has to be done,” he growled.

“What can you do?”  Bulma asked as she followed him out of the room.

“I don’t know but I’m sick of seeing those looks on their faces. Besides, it’s making the boy unstable.”

“I don’t think the training room can take much more of this. I’ve already broken three of the defense robots,” Trunks said as they landed at Goku’s.

“How is she doing?”  Gohan asked and Trunks shook his head.  He wiped the tears from his eyes and sighed.

“She blames herself for it. I wish I could provide her some comfort but I can’t. Can you understand what I feel?”

“Yes I can. You can’t let this feeling consume you though. Hey Goten.”

“What’s wrong with Trunks?”  Goten asked as he walked up to the two Saiyens.

“He’s forced to stay away from Loren,” Gohan replied.

            “Why?”

“I don’t know. Come on trunks. It’s lunchtime. Maybe eating will help.”

“It makes Dad feel a lot better.”

“I don’t feel like eating,” Trunks replied as they walked into the house.

“You haven’t been starving yourself have you?”  Gohan asked.

“No. I’m just not hungry right now.”

“Eat anyway. You need to get your mind off of her.”

“Bulma still hasn’t found a way to fix the problem?”  Chi-chi asked as the three walked into the kitchen.

“No Mom. Hey Dad,” Gohan said as Goku walked into the kitchen.

“Hey guys. Still no luck, huh Trunks? Gosh. I wish I could do something to help,” Goku said and Trunks wryly smiled.

“Thanks but I don’t think you could do anything in this situation,” he said and Goku laughed.

            “Yeah. You’re probably right.”

Loren stared up at the sky and sighed.  She ran her hand over her leg and glanced at the mark.  It didn’t hurt as much in her natural form.  She stood up and walked back to Bulma’s.  She had to get close to him.  She had to know where she could touch him or not.  The trek was slow however, since she was not used to walking in her natural form.  She opened the door and slowly walked into the house.

“Is that you dear?”  Bulma asked as she walked into the room.  She stopped short and stared at Loren.

“It’s all right. This is how I really look. I was trying to communicate with my people. I wanted to know why I couldn’t touch him,” she said as she looked around the room.  “Where is he?”

“Let’s check out your leg first dear. Does that hurt?”

“Not as much as it used to hurt. Where is he? I want to know if I can touch him.”

“He’s with Gohan dear. Now how does that feel?”

“It burns. Don’t do that please.”

“I’m sorry. So you’re sensitive to repeated pressure. Does it bother you when you walk?”

            “Sometimes. Can I go now?”

“Has he ever seen you this way?”

“No. I’m hardly like this. I don’t use it a lot because most people can’t identify with this form. I need to see him Bulma. It hurts too much to see him so hurt. I know he’s still suffering. I have to make him feel better. This is all my fault.”

“Don’t blame yourself honey. Don’t say anything Vegeta.”

“I take it this is her natural form?”  Vegeta asked.

“Yes. Hand me that jacket would you dear? He forgot to hang it up,” Bulma said to Loren and Loren picked up Trunks’ jacket.  The jacket immediately burst into flame and Loren drew her hand back.  She turned away from Bulma and began to cry.

“I…I can’t touch anything that belongs to him. Look what happens. I’d better go,” she said and ran out of the house.  She took off and streaked up out of Earth’s atmosphere.

Trunks dropped his fork in shock.  Everyone at the table stared at him.  Trunks stared out the window as he slowly stood up.  Gohan laid a hand over Trunks’ hand and Trunks looked at him.

“What is it Trunks?”  he asked.

            “She’s gone.”

            “What?”

“She left. I’ve got to go.”

He ran out of the house and took to the air.  His power lever increased as the pain inside his heart grew deeper.  He hovered in mid-air and cried out in agony as he unfolded his wings.  He watched as feathers fell into the water as his power grew.

“Loren!!”  he screamed as the sky lit up with his power.  It wasn’t fair.  She had promised that she’d never leave him.  He’s rather deal with the pain of having her around than the pain of not having her.  She had broken her promise to him.  She had left him.  Blood streamed from the palms of his hands as he was seized with an uncontrollable rage.

Loren watched the light from space and grabbed her chest.  She had broken her promise to him.  She had failed.  The link had been shattered.  The demons had won and there was nothing she could do about it.  She gazed up at the sky and sighed.  Loren winced as she felt Trunks’ rage.

“Can’t you see what this is doing to him? What have I done to deserve this? Please speak to me. I don’t want to hurt him. He’s done nothing to deserve this so why must he be punished?”  she asked aloud.  She needed comfort but there was no one she could go to.  She didn’t dare bother Piccolo with the problem because he was too close to Trunks and if Trunks found out…she was afraid that she would hurt him even more.

“Please. Please answer me. Poor Trunks. He’s in so much pain. You can’t do this to him. He’s done nothing to deserve this. Punish me and not him if I’ve done something wrong. Please stop this. Please stop hurting him. It isn’t fair. I…I can’t stand seeing him like this. I…I…I love him,” she sobbed as she spread her wings.  She began to cry uncontrollably as her entire body shook with extreme pain.

She felt arms around her waist and glanced up.  She was in her sanctuary and Trunks gazed lovingly down at her.

“You came back,” he said as he ran his fingers through her long golden hair.  She hesitantly raised a hand to touch his skin and smiled when he didn’t burst into flame.  She turned to face him and leaned close to him.  Their lips met as Trunks passionately fondled her.  He deeply probed her mouth as she sighed in contentment.

“How did you do it?”  he asked as he looked at her.

“I don’t know. All I said was that I…loved you,” she said as he passionately kissed her.

“That’s what I needed to hear love. That’s what saved us. We need each other hon.”

“I didn’t mean to hurt you. That’s why I left.”

“What would have really hurt me would have been living without you. I want to be with you forever.”

“That can be arranged,” Loren said and Trunks looked at her.

“Are you serious?”  he asked as he laid a hand on her crotch.  He rubbed it, intrigued by its feel.  She was extremely beautiful in her natural form.  He raised a hand up to her dress and pulled it off.  He stared at her nude body in wonder as he ran a hand over her genderless body.

“Trunks…” she said as he touched her skin.

“You are so beautiful in your natural form. Why haven’t you shown my it before now?”

            “I didn’t think you’d understand.”

            “You are so beautiful Loren.”

He ripped off her panties and gazed at her crotch.  He knelt on the ground and slowly touched her skin. It was the first time he had seen a completely androgynous body and he was completely intrigued by it.

“What are you doing?”  she asked as he spread her legs.

“You look so beautiful. I almost feel guilty for touching you,” he said as he kissed her skin.

“Would you like me to change?”

“No. I love how you look now.”

            “Thank you. Don’t do that.”

            “I’m sorry. How’s this?”

She closed her eyes as he pushed her to the ground.  He ran his body over hers and kissed her neck.

“Where’s Trunks?”  Bulma asked as Gohan walked into the house.

“I don’t know. I was kind of hoping that he came back here,” Gohan said as a blinding light came from outside.  Bulma ran to the window and cried out in joy when she saw Trunks tightly embracing Loren.  His wings encircled her as he opened his mouth to kiss her.

“What is it? They’re back,” Gohan said as he gazed out the window.

“What the hell is going on?”  Vegeta asked as he walked into the room.

“They’re back. Don’t they look so sweet together?”  Bulma asked as she watched the two from the window.

“So they’ve made up? How touching.”

“Would you shut up? Leave them alone. Be glad that they’re not suffering any more. I don’t think my heart could take much more of that.”

“Come on. Let’s show my parents that we’re fine,” Trunks said as he pulled away from her.

“I didn’t mean to make you all upset,” she said as Trunks clasped her hand.

“It’s all right love. Hey Mom, Gohan.”

“I am so glad that you’re back together,” Bulma said as she tightly embraced her son.

“She did it Mom. She overcame the disease. She saved us. Isn’t she perfect?”  Trunks asked as he embraced her.

“I’m so glad you’re back to normal. You’re so much happier now.”

“Father, I’m sorry for putting such pressure on you.”

“Apology accepted. I couldn’t stand seeing you in so much pain,” Vegeta said as he gently his Trunks on the shoulder.

“I didn’t mean to worry you Father.”

“At least the two of you are back together. Why don’t you switch forms dear?”  Bulma asked.

“I love her like this. She’s like a god or something. She’s so beautiful. She’s never shown me her natural form before because she was afraid that I wouldn’t accept it.”

“Most people don’t understand this form which is why I hardly use it,” Loren said as Trunks ran a hand over her rump.  She glanced at him and smiled.

“So how did you get over the sickness dear?”  Bulma asked and Loren looked at her.

“I just said that I loved him.”
            “That’s wonderful dear.”

“What I don’t understand is how a simple word like that makes such a big difference.”

            “It does dear. It does.”

“Come on hon. Let’s go home,” Trunks said and pulled her out of the house.
