It was half four and the girls and were leaving to met up at Bulma’s house, it was after all, the easiest one too find.
Chichi was there first, so her and Bulma waited outside and leaned against the fence to look out for 18.
"So, um when did you and Goku start going out?" Bulma asked, looking at Chichi who had started to go all dreamy eyed.
"Oh we were friends for ages!" She said, "But we finally got together two years ago! Our anniversary’s on the 27th March," She recited. And without a moment’s pause she carried on, "Goku’s just great, he’s so sweet, and cuddly and when I’m with him he makes me feel so… so… and just, oh I don’t know. Do you know what I mean?"
"Erm…I’ll have to say no, I’ve never really been in that serious a relationship." Bulma said looking at her shoes.
"Oh don’t worry we’ll find you someone. It’ll probably be the person you least expect. I mean look at 18 and Krillin." Chichi said looking thoughtful, "Oh and speaking of 18 here she comes!" She started waving down the road and shouted for 18 to hurry up.
"Their a couple?!" Bulma asked, it was, after all a pretty odd match up.
"Hey! Sorry I’m late my hair did this whole floop thing and… oh well I’m here now, are you girls ready to splash some cash?" 18 shouted and they set off down the road.
"Vegeta I’m bored!" Goku whined sitting on Vegeta’s bed.
"Well what do you want to do?" Vegeta asked, lying on the floor reading a magazine.
"What is there to do?" Goku asked through a yawn. Vegeta frowned, "You could go home if you want," he said, clearly getting annoyed by Goku’s constant whinging.
"I don’t wanna do that!" He replied, looking stricken,
"Okay then," Vegeta said yawning and shoving the magazine under his bed, "How ‘bout we go get chrome dome and go into town, see if there’s anything interesting going on there?" Gokus face lit up as he bounced of the bed, "Okay!"
"Hey I was really busy you know! That essay has to be finished for Mr Palmer’s class tomorrow and you know what he’s like!" Krillin didn’t sound to happy about being dragged outside.
"Well Krillin," Goku stated, "you should have done it the night it was set. That way if you need help or your stuck you have plenty of time to ask the teacher!"
"You sound just like him!" Krillin said laughing, his essay forgotten.
"God you two are such freaks," Vegeta kicked a can down the road. "Well if you hate us that much why do you hang around with us in the first place?" Goku asked.
"Because you guys make me look good," Vegeta said laughing as they turned the corner, which lead to the main street.
"Hey! That’s not very nice!" Goku started, but was cut off as he crashed into someone,
"Hey watch it!" It was Chichi, 18 and Bulma. They were carrying an awful lot of shopping bags between them and staggering slightly under the weight.
"How much stuff do you girls need?!" Vegeta asked staring at them in awe.
"Well we thought we’d do some Christmas shopping while we were here." Bulma said,
"But it’s only September!" Vegeta said in disbelief.
"Well you’ll be sorry when all the good bargains are gone when it actually is Christmas." Chichi said frowning, "That is if you bother to get us presents this year."
"I told you that my little sisters ruined them! It wasn’t my fault!" Vegeta shouted back.
"Okay, okay you guys stop arguing!" Krillin said above the din, and they all shut up.
"Well seeing as we’re all here together," 18 said laughing and taking Krillin’s hand, "Why don’t we go and get some chips or something?" She asked.
"I dunno, that project…and its 6:30, I won’t have time… and I…well…alright but we had better be quick." Krillin said grudgingly.
"Good man, come on lets go!" Goku said, as he and Chichi took the lead Goku now being lumbered with her shopping, Krillin and 18 followed behind them hand in hand, leaving Bulma and Vegeta trailing along behind.
Come on say something! Vegeta thought to him self, but his mind had gone blank. She’s only a girl she won’t bite!
"So um," Bulma started, "You have some sisters huh?"
"Wha…?" Oh way to impress her with your wit dumbass! "Yeah there’s Kelli, she’s seven and the most annoying bit of crap ever to walk the earth. Then there’s Reika and I swear I know babies that can talk better than her, she’s like Kelli’s evil little sidekick." Vegeta said trying not to stutter, and sound normal.
"I’m sure they’re fine really!" Bulma said laughing,
"You haven’t met them," Vegeta said frowning and looking at the ground.
He really is pretty cute, Bulma thought, it’s just that his attitudes a little screwed that’s all. "So… do any of you other guys have any brothers or sisters?" She asked.
"Well, 18’s got an older brother, 17, he’s alright I guess but he doesn’t hang around with us much." Vegeta paused, thinking, "And Kakarrot’s got a brother, Raditz. But he’s a bit of a jackass."
"Hurry up!" Goku shouted as they walked up to ‘Johnny’s Plaice.’ They got a portion of chips each. Goku and Vegeta finished off everyone else’s when they were full, or when they weren’t. Goku got a lecture from Chichi about as he said ‘borrowing’ her chips when she wasn’t finished.
At 7:15 they headed home, it was a little early but Krillin and Bulma both wanted to finish their homework. Bulma didn’t want to get a bad reputation with the teachers on her first day and because I think that’s what Krillin would be like.
They all split up when they got too Bulma’s, except for Chichi who came in to phone her Dad and tell him that she was on her way home.
"I’ll see you tomorrow at school then Bulma," Chichi said as she picked up her bags and walked to the door.
"Its Tuesday tomorrow isn’t it? Do you have gym third lesson?" Bulma asked; P.E was her least favourite lesson and it would be nice to have someone else there that she knew.
"Yeah, I’m in that class, but so are Vegeta and Yamcha. It’s murder when they’re on opposite teams, or on the same for that matter. I remember last year we were playing hockey and they were on the same team, Vegeta tackled Yamcha from behind, fractured his ankle and said he was trying to ‘help’ him!" Bulma laughed letting Chichi out the front door.
"I’ll see ya tomorrow then Chi!" Bulma closed the door behind her and sighed. What a brilliant day! I’m really lucky, I’ve got five new brilliant friends, my life is unbelievably cool! She thought as she walked upstairs to have a bath, finish her homework and to watch Friends (how appropriate! ^_~).
