Duo

Duo, prolly the most distinguishable character. You could seriously just draw a circle with eyes and stick a braid on it and ppl will recognize him. ;) But we'll do better than that.

Look at that face. See, it's close enough for us blind ppl to see it! ;D But this does get a good pic of his features. Start with the eyes!

Features
	I have 2 examples of his eye here to show how the shape is maintained in all pics. Duo has the largest eyes of all the pilots. Can you see the arrows? They out line the shape of his eyes. His pupils have an oval shape.
	Duo has a upturned nose. ^_^ Note how beaky all the noses are. ;) But same as Heero. 2 simple lines. Just make sure the long one swings up a bit.
	Mouth....Duo has a big one. ;) But it is still only a continuous line. Simple right? Duo's mouth is placed close to his nose...not his chin! Keeping the features close together gives Duo his youthful look. (If you want to make a mature Duo, place the features farther apart).
	Duo has pretty thin eyebrows. The brows are thicker in the center of his face and get thinner as you move away from his nose. (see pic below.)

Details
	Now we've seen the basic features. Let's take a look see at some other details.
	Face shape: Duo has a cheeky face. ^_^ (granny's joy!) So, he doesn't have the masculinity of Heero, the pointyness of Trowa, or the roundness of Chang. Watch my red arrows. ;)

Hair!
	Duo's most distinguishing feature is his hair. I mean, not everyone you meet has a meter long braid. ;) Well...let's try and tackle this shall we. The tassle at the end is basicallly a triangle. The red lines show a simplified braid. (If you stick the basic shapes in first, you can add the individual sections of the braid later.)
	Bang it! I always have a hard time with his bangs. They are spikes, no doubt, but they all start at a common point and fan out. See?
	I've tried my best here to show how the bumps in his hair are and how the chunks in his braid show up. (The thick chunks are in blue, the thinner ones are in red.)

Step-by-Step
	1. Start out with your circle/cross. The bottom of his eyes will rest on the horzontal line. Oh, the cross should be placed low on the circle, as shown. ;)
	2. Next, I place the eyes on the horizontal eyeline and add a nose to help with the placement of the other features. 2b. Eyes. I make a thin line, thicken it for the upper lid. His iris (color part) is a large oval. The highlight should mimic his iris shap. Make note of my shading! Dark around the rim and highlight.
	3. I've penciled in the geometric shape of the jaw line. (Keep it light!) The red line I use to mark the edge of his face. ;)
	4. In this step I've added eyebrows and a mouth. Keep the mouth close to the nose as shown! I've also rounded out his cheeks and chin. (note the little tiny indent between his cheek and chin.) The ear has been added as well.
	5. This is the final step in this tutorial. The hair. I place a horizontal line above the eyebrows to place the bangs. They all sprout out from that line. The tips of his spikes should just go past his eyeline. After the bangs are in, I start at the leftmost spike/bang, and follow the circle with large "bumps". I didn't draw all the braid, but I made sure I put it in. ;D And voila!
