Despite the advanced technology of the universe projectile weapons are still around.  Guns are the primary weapon used in the universe, ammunition is still made in mass production making the shells less expensive than that of a Castor.  Highly effective again "normal" humans, but a certain strategy must be implied upon augmented humans or bio androids.  Projectile weapons are banned on space stations due to the fact that a stray round could puncture the hull, killing everyone inside.
