"Lady Relena?" A man asked Relena Peacecraft as she stepped out of the plane terminal. "Yes? Are you the man that I was supposed to meet here and talk with?" She asked in her diplomatic voice, as she stood up as straight and queenly as when she had ruled that Earth as Queen Relena. "No, My Lady, but I was sent to pick you up in his place. He will be pleased to hear that you have arrived unharmed. If you will come this way please." The man said, leading her to a limo, and opening her door for her. "Thank you." She said, climbing in, and sitting on the back seat. "How long will it take for us to get to the McComber Mansion?" She asked the driver, after she had been sitting for a while. "It will take about two and a half hours, my lady. I hope that will not be too long for you." The driver answered. "No, thank you. It will give me a chance to catch up on my paperwork. Being the Earth's main diplomat does have its drawbacks." She smiled, and pulled out her briefcase, setting it on her lap. She opened it to see a picture of Hiiro and her visiting the beach last summer. She smiled lovingly at it, and pulled out the rest of the papers. **Flashback scene***Hiiro and the other Gundam pilots had arrived early in the morning that day to kidnap her and take her to the beach to have fun for the day. She had protested that she had to work, but ended up going anyway. She wore her pink and white swimsuit, and was actually pretty happy to be going out on a vacation, however short it may be. It was hard to keep the peace between Earth and the colonies and lately she was getting kind of stressed out. It was hard for a seventeen-year-old girl to keep the peace between places that were always looking for a reason to fight. Hiiro even looked like he was having a good time. He smiled and walked over to her, looking expectant, "We did this for your own good. You should at least try to have a good time." He said, pulling her hand. He pulled her to the water, and made as if to throw her in. "Ack! Hiiro! My hair! No!" She screamed, clinging to him, as he charged through the water. "Do you really not want me to?" He asked quietly, stopping. "Saltwater will ruin my hair." She said, quietly. Then, after a long dramatic moment, he dropped her in anyway. She popped back up, "Hiiro Yui! How dare you!" She ran up to the shore, crying. He looked surprised, and fallowed her, "Relena, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it." He said, wrapping his arms around her. It was then that they had shared their first kiss. Until Duo and the other Gundam guys popped back up with the ice cream. They were teased for hours, until Hiiro pulled his gun and threatened them. Then they backed off. For a while, at least, and then they spent the rest of the day having fun, like old friends should have. ***End of flashback scene**** She was knocked out of her flashback by the driver saying to her, "That's the mansion up there." She looked where he was pointing, and saw a huge mansion Even for a rich girl like her it was big. She put her papers away as they stopped and checked her hair in the mirror to make sure it looked professional. She pulled her short skirt back down to mid thigh, as she stepped out of the car. "My Lady, this way please." A servant said, leading her into the house, and up a few flights of stairs, and to a large dining room. "Please have a seat. Dinner will be served in a few moments." "But…!" She protested, as the servant left the room. Sighing, she took a seat, and quietly sat until dinner was served. She tried to ask the servants that were serving her, but they didn't seem to know anything, so she ate dinner. After she finished and they took her plate back to the kitchen, the servant that led her there showed up again, "My lady, this way please." She fallowed the strange servant, but tried to ask it, "When am I to meet with Mr. McComber?" "You will meet him in good time, my lady." The servant said, and continued on. After walking the dark mansion for quite some time, Relena started to regret wearing her high heels, and beginning to wish that she had brought a flashlight. Then they arrived wherever they were going, and the door opened, "Come." A deep voice said from the room. Relena walked into the room, with chills of fear running up and down her spine. The room was only lit with a fire in the fireplace. She was too freaked out to not notice the dark and depressing mood that overset the room. Maybe it was the decorations, and maybe not. "Have a seat Ms. Peacecraft." The man said, gesturing to a seat across from his. "Thank you," She said not looking at him, but at the freaky picture of a dragon that was placed upon his mantle. "Mr. McComber.." She began, and then looked at him, "HIIRO?" She asked, staring at the man that sat across from her. He was almost an exact copy of the Hiiro Yui that she was in love with, except he looked slightly older, and more mature. "No, Ms. Peacecraft." He said smoothly, "My name is not Hiiro. My name is Matsuuna." "Oh, yes, I knew that. Forgive me, sir." She said bowing her head. "But I see that you know my younger brother, as I thought." He said, walking to a window. "What do you mean sir?" She asked, pulling her briefcase to her lap and opening it, "We still need to talk about the peace treaty that you are suggesting to the ESA (Earth Sphere Alliance)." "Of course, Relena." He said sitting back down. She was kind of annoyed that he spoke to her so familiarly without knowing her very long, but she ignored it, "These are the documents that you suggested that I bring. Maybe we should talk about the difficulties that we might have to go through to get this all worked out." She suggested, "Oh, we need those papers that you said that you have?" She paused, "Mr. McComber?" "Yes, Yes, of course." He said, pulling a few papers off of the table by him. She took them and began sorting through them when she came across a picture that she was positive was Hiiro. "Excuse me," She said in a shaky voice, "Can I ask who this is?" "It's my younger brother." He said, staring at her, "He left his family to fight Oz. He took up the name Hiiro Yui." She stared at him for a few moments in shock, "Is that why you have brought me here?" She asked quietly. "Yes. It is." He said, "Now, we just have to wait until Hiiro shows up to save you." "I don't believe you. Hiiro told me that he was raised to me an assassin." She said, standing, "And I will not be used as bait for my love." "Oh, you're in love with him then?" He asked, "Then it is assured that he will show up. " He smiled cruelly, "My lady, I am afraid that you must come with me, or your stay will not be a pleasant one." "Never." She said, trying to leave, but was blocked by the servants that she had seen earlier. They grabbed her and drug her to a large room. They locked her in there, but left her some food. "I'm afraid that you cannot leave. We are sending a message to Hiiro to come here and rescue you."
Part 2: Hiiro
Hiiro was sitting on the roof of the Global Peace building, drinking a Pepsi when Duo came up behind him. "Hiiro, we have trouble." He said, pulling out a paper, with a ransom note for Relena. "I know." Hiiro said softly, not bothering to turn. "Well, leave it up to you to know everything before it happens. Well then?" Duo asked, stuffing the note back into his pocket. "Well what, Duo? Do you have to ask?" He said, still sitting. "Yeah, I'm not a psychic, you know. Even if you think that YOU are." Duo said, sighing. "Fool! "Hiiro breathed to himself, and finally stood, "I am going after Relena, since they only want me, and if you try to come with me, I'll have to kill you." "Yep! That's what we thought you'd say!" Duo said, as the other Gundam pilots appeared behind him. "Please don't be difficult, Hiiro." Quatre said, pleadingly. "Don't make us force you." Wufei said. "It would be easier this way." Trowa agreed. "I don't think so." Hiiro said, pulling his gun. "We're so scared." Duo said, as they all pulled their guns, "Now be a good boy and come along quietly." Hiiro just cocked his gun, smiling. "Hiiro! Don't make us kill you!" Duo yelled, as Hiiro lunged for them, going right through, he knocked them down and instead of going down the stairs, he jumped off the edge of the building. "You idiot!" Duo yelled after him, as they watched him fall out of sight. "Do you think he'll be all right?" Quatre asked. "Huh, Hiiro's not that weak. Now we just have to fallow him to Relena." Wufei said. **** Hiiro landed after slowing himself with the wall. (Hard to describe.) He ran down the street, pulling out the ransom note that he had received. It went: "Hiiro Yui, I have Relena. If you wish to save her life, you will give yourself up. After which, she will be freed. If you do not come by Friday, we will start to destroy her. But not quickly, as you would have it. First we will torture her, until all she can see is evil, and then we will gouge her eyes. Then every hour after we shall destroy one more body part, until you come, or she dies. But it will be quite a while. Do you want her to die hating you? I thought not. Come home Onichan." Hiiro growled as he stared at the handwriting. He knew of only one person who wrote like this. One person who thought like this. Matsuuna, the demented man, who was originally going to pilot Gundam 01 to Earth. However, he had totally lost his mind during the intense training that Dr. J had put him through. So Hiiro had to take his place and pilot the Gundam. They had trained together when they were younger and Matsuuna had the habit of calling him "Onichan", little brother. Foolishly, it seemed, he had lost track of him when he had more important things to do. "Relena… I have failed you." He thought angrily as he jumped on the back of a truck that was headed his way. He also needed to lose those other pilots. He hopped truck from time to time, and soon figured that he lost them. Now it was time to get there. He hopped down into a sewer entrance and fallowed it for quite a few miles until he reached the familiar looking entrance to where he had grown up. It was evident that he was expecting Hiiro, because he had the place rigged up with traps, cameras, and guards all over the place. Hiiro swore to himself as he stepped into the first trap. Bracing himself for whatever came next, he fell through a classic trapdoor into a darkness. "Hiiro!" he heard Relena yell tearfully. "Re..lena?" He groaned weakly, as he sat up. He must have been knocked out or something, because he couldn't remember anything after falling. "Onichan, How are you? Do you even have anything to say to your dear girlfriend?" Matsuuna laughed, as he kicked Relena, who was tied up on the floor. "You #%$&*&@*!!!" Hiiro swore as he jumped at Matsuuna. He seemed to run into an invisible barrier. "A wall. @#$%!" He said, scraping himself off the ground. "Oh, do be careful, little brother. Your eyes can fool you. Or didn't you learn that in training?" Matsuuna laughed a little too loudly. Then as Hiiro stood up again, he stopped. Hiiro was chuckling, "This is great. A grudge." He laughed out loud, "You're doing this because I got to pilot 01 aren't you?!" Hiiro seemed to think it was hilarious. Relena looked at him like he was nuts and Matsuuna just grinned, "How well you know me. However, it seems that I know you well too. You came to rescue your dear Ms. Peacecraft, and in doing so, you have put yourself in my hands, for my revenge." He started to laugh again. "And I thought you knew me well. I didn't come to rescue her. I came because I was curious. That's all." Relena looked slightly hurt, but said nothing. Suddenly the building shook. "What in &%#) was that?" Matsuuna yelled, as he was knocked to the floor. Hiiro took that opportunity to bust through the plastic wall, and grab his gun back. "Matte!" Matsuuna yelled at him, "I have your girlfriend. I know that you wouldn't hurt her." He held a knife to Relena's throat. "I told you…" Hiiro started, aiming. "Yeah, you told me. But I could always tell when you are lying, and right now is one of those times." He said nervously backing up, and holding Relena tighter, until she squealed. Hiiro started to pull the trigger, until he looked at Relena, who was looking at him. She seemed to have all the faith in the world in him. "Yeah, that's right, look at your girlfriend… You wouldn't hurt her, ne?" Matsuuna gained confidence. Hiiro looked away, "All right. Let her go." He started to set his gun down. "No! Hiiro! You have to do what you have to do! Please!" Relena yelled as she jerked away. Matsuuna growled, as he grabbed her arm and slapped her. Blood started to stream from her face. She started crying. Hiiro raised his gun, and shot the man without a second thought, "You made one mistake. You hurt Relena." He said, as he watched him fall. Relena ran into his arms. "Hiiro! I was so worried about you!" She continued crying, as he held her. "Relena…" He said softly, "I love you." "Hiiro…" She said, looking at him. "And I want to protect you for the rest of your life." He continued, "Will you marry me?" He held her tightly as he said it. "Oh Hiiro!" She exclaimed quietly, "Yes. Of course. Yes! Always!" Then she passed out from loss of blood. He picked her up and carried her out to where the others were fighting Matsuuna's guards. "Yo! Hiiro! Let's get out of here!" Duo said, from on the middle of a bunch of knocked out people. Quatre, Wufei and Trowa waved, and hopped over there. "The boss is dead." Hiiro said, handing Relena over to Quatre. Then He passed out too. ******* Relena twirled in front of the mirror, smiling. The scar from the battle was almost gone, and just in time too! Today was going to be the best day of her life. "Ms. Relena? Are you almost ready?" She heard Noin ask through the door. "Yes, Ms. Noin, please come in." She said. Noin came in wearing a dark purple dress. "Oh, Relena weddings suit you." She said, fixing the veil onto Relena's head. "I hope that it will all work out." Relena said, as Noin opened the door to the chapel, where everyone she knew and some that she didn't, waited for her. "Don't worry Relena, you two love each other enough, you can make it through anything together." Noin said, as the wedding march started, and Relena took her first step to her new life with Hiiro.
The End
