This is the little girl in my story. Somnia's birth was prophesized by Malus while he was still on the Council of the Ages. She was born with the special gift of unconsciously opening portholes to the different realms she dreams about. After prophesizing her birth, Malon sent a group of soldiers to kill her parents to prevent her birth, because these portholes would allow beings from other realms to travel back and forth between the Earthly realm. However, after Malon was kicked off the Council and exiled to a dark realm for ordering the Tess Grotta massacre, he then traveled back to the Earthly realm through a porthole made by Somnia. Malus then attempts to kidnap Somnia, because Phase would be able to utilize her gift, (considering they can find a power source large enough to fuel the reaction)allowing them to control a portal large enough to allow the Charybdis to enter the Earthly realm. Her name is derived from the latin word Somniare meaning dream.
