Role in the Story: Aurea grew up on the streets of a rather large city near the ocean (this city is thus far nameless), as a pickpocket and a thief. She has no recollection of her family. When Aurea was about 12, she encountered Terratur in the market one day, who lived in a small hut near the beach in the far outskirts of the city. She attempted to pickpocket him, however he easily caught her before she was able to. A nearby guard rushed over to apprehend the young thief, however Terratur protected Aurea by stating to the guard that she was his granddaughter, and they were simply playing a game. Satisfied by this, the guard withdraws, Terratur gives Aurea some change to buy something to eat, and then he continues with his errands. Caught off-guard by the stranger's charity, Aurea curiously follows Terratur through the rest of his errands, and back to his hut near the beach. However Terratur is plainly aware of his pursuer, and can feel that she will play a vital role in times to come. With this, Terratur takes in Aurea and begins to train her in the ways of the claramina. This is the beginning of his school, with Aurea as his first pupil. Many other's often see the two training on the beach, and Terratur acquires a following of other's who wish to learn about the claramina. Aurea grows significantly as a warrior, and by the age of 19 is able to produce the claramina. She is the only one in Terratur's school (besides Terratur himself) who can produce the light blade. When he feels she is ready, Terratur sends her to find the Protector of the Earthly realm, only knowing that the Protector resides somewhere in the ancient forests. She proceeds to check all of the scattered villages in the forests, challenging the best warriors of each village to a fight, and easily defeating them (these fights were not to the death, but always ended with Aurea's claramina to her opponent's throat). Feron proved to be Aurea's only challenge, and her skill with a claramina was enough to convince Aurea that Feron was the one she was searching for. After much deliberation, Aurea convinces Feron to accompany her to Terratur's school, and on the journey back she could notice subtle changes in the environment that she would find out later was a result of Somnia's gift. Aurea will prove invaluable to Feron, not only with her strong fighting abilities, but also as a friend.
Personality: Aurea's personality is very different from Feron's. She is out-going and flamboyant, and because she is very aware of her beauty, can sometimes be a little arrogant. She enjoys music, dancing, and most of all, liquor (which often gets her in trouble!). Her personality does not change as drastically as Feron's does, however she does know when it is time to be serious. When Gavin becomes an addition to their party, she becomes attracted to him, and often vies for his attention.
Fighting Techniques: Aurea's weapon is a yellow claramina. She boasts great speed and reaction time, but cannot match up to Feron in these areas. Like Feron, she excels at ground combat, however has difficulty in the air (as flying is a relatively new technique to her). Also like Feron, she can fire small blasts from her claramina, but unlike Feron, is tremendously accurate with this long range weapon. She often acts as a sniper when situations get really difficult. Although not as powerful as Feron, Aurea has no trouble fending for herself.
