'Ello! Tons of new stuff this year. We took out Parody, but added ten million other things. In categories we added Random Insanity. In anime, we added Yu Yu Hakusho, X, Slayers, Trigun, Cowboy Bebob, Hellsing, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Inu Yasha, Digimon,and Hime-chan's Ribbon.

What we get now is a defining of terms.(Sounds like fun, right?)

Angst-A very sad, sob your eyes out story. Often includes death of a character.

Alternative Reality-Taking the characters from the anime and, basically, changing their reality. For
example, giving them all magic powers, if they don't already have them, or taking them away if they do. It's pretty much anything that's definately not in the storyline.

Comedy-Pretty easy to figure out. It's a funny story. That's about it.

Romance-Lovey-dovey get together story. It doesn't matter who gets together, and, really, they don't have
to stay together, but it is romantic in some way or another.

Song-fic/Video-fic-A story that's written around a song, using the lyrics to further the story or it's
meaning./It's like a music video. Usually no one says something unless it's a line from the song.

Random Insanity-This is my new category. It's basically replacing Parody,which I took out due to lack of popularity. I get all kinds of e-mails asking me to add different categories. I can't add all of them because I actually need enough people to enter a category for it to count. I made this for everyone who wants a new category. You can put all of your dark stories, and parodies, and fluff stories here. If we get enough in one category, we'll add it next year. This can be any kind of story, but if it's entered in this category, it can't be entered in any other category.

Crossover-A lot like a parody except it's more of a mixing of the two stories than putting the
characters from one story in the situation of another. In the contest, for this category, you have to use two or more of the anime categories below. You can't use something that's not here. Sorry.

One-Shot-A story with only one part. This is one of the overall categories, so entering any other
category, within an anime, will enter you in the best one-shot category for that anime.

Multi-Part-A story with more than one part. Another overall category like the one above.

Overall-This is the best overall overall. Every story from every anime is included in this. As you can
imagine, it's a hard one to pick a winner for.

Doujinshi-It's like a fanfic manga. You create the plot line, draw all the pictures, make it look
like a manga and, bam!, you have a doujinshi. This is another new one and I really want to keep it, so if I don't get enough in each category, I'll merge it all into one category. In future years, I may split it into anime, too, instead of having them all together. Of course, it still needs to be for one of the anime below.
