Cautious and sometimes cowardly, Joe is always prepared for any situation. His trust first aide bag has helped get the Digidestined (and Ogremon!) out of many situations.

However, if need be, Joe can overcome his fears to help his team. Though often afraid, he, like all the others, is also willing to do almost anything for his friends.

His father wanting him to become a doctor, in order to do this, Joe will have to overcome his fear of the sight of blood. He is much closer to his brother, Jim, than to his parents.

Now studying to become a doctor, Joe is much more mature and not as afraid of everything around every corner, nor is he allergic to such a big variety of things.

New glasses and longer hair make up his new look.

Even in 02 Joe is prepared for any situation that may arise, and is always there to help the new Digidestined when in need.
