Tasuki is my
absolute favorite character in Fushigi Yuugi. Well, because that he's so
much fun in the series. He's energetic, funny, always say the wrong things
at the wrong time and gets whacked for it *by Nuriko usually. ^_^*, always
have the cutest scenes, wildest super deformed faces. *Super deformed means
when he shrinks! Chibi means also the same thing. Looks like little kids.*
Tasuki acts like he doesn't care but really he does and he shows it in
his own way. He says he doesn't like women but he protects Miaka not only
as her seishi but like a older brother. He fights with Tamahome like a
brother and they have friendly, if not continuous fights. Like when Taka
was getting his memories back as Tamahome, Tasuki goes, "Oh you don't remember?
Like when you blah blah blah Miaka and then blah blah blah me?" *Referring
to the incident when Tamahome beat up Tasuki after breaking Miaka's arm.*
And when Tamahome gets his memory back, he goes, "Now what I did blah blah
blah to Miaka?" and then they fight with clouds of dust surrounding them.
Tasuki is also short tempered and ready to jump into any brawl. He's strong
and a good fighter, a match for Tamahome. He's passionate and loyal to
his freinds, never intentionally hurting them.
Tasuki's special
weapon is his tessen or iron fan. The tessen originally owned by a demon
and the first Leikaku bandit leader defeated the demon and it has been
passed down from leader to leader ever since. The tessen can be triggered
to throw out fire with an incantation which is Lekka Shinen. Tasuki proved
himself to be an able leader and was the designated successor of the bandits.
Tasuki went on a trip and the old leader died so Eiken stole is place and
the tessen. Tasuki came back to find Nuriko torturing Eiken for touching
Miaka and Tasuki kidnapped Miaka, thinking she was Eiken's wife. He tried
to put the moves on Miaka but got slapped. *So funny!* After explaining
his story, Miaka wanted to help Tasuki gain back the tessen and fan. So
Miaka, Tasuki, Koji, Hotohori, and Nuriko fought a brief battle, with Tasuki
getting back his tessen. Along with the tessen, Tasuki also had special
papers with creates a powerful illusion spell. Tasuki writes whatever he
wants to appear on it and shouts out another incantation and it comes true.
Unfortunately, Miaka got hold of it and made food appear at the battle
with Eiken.
Tasuki's best
friend is Koji. He's two years older than Tasuki and they met when Tasuki
was 15 in the Tasuki Gaiden novel. *Which I own but cannot read!* Tasuki
is known as Genrou by his Leikaku bandit buddies and they are the only
ones to call him that. Tasuki acts really wild when with Koji and they
do a weird but cute little dance whenever they see each other. Like below!!
