Miaka is always
cheerful and bubbly girl, but at first is a bit of an unlikely heroine,
being immature, naive, and extremely trusting. She is, at first, also a
little selfish and spoiled, and does not take her position as Miko very
seriously. But throughout the series, Miaka learns and grows up. She matures
emotionally and learns how to accept all the people she meets and the responsibility
she has as Suzaku no Miko.
She likes to
behave goofy and easy-going to make others feel comfortable and happy,
but can be serious as well. Miaka is very devoted to her friends and tries
to help her best friend Yui even though Yui considers Miaka her enemy.
Miaka is extremely loyal, and has a strong sense of justice, trying to
right the wrongs and save Yui from everything bad around her. She loves
the Suzaku Seishi and all of the Seishi love her for her kindness and friendship.
Miaka is also very considerate of others and will so anything for her seishi
as they will for her.
She loves Tamahome
and we see their love grow. His protection and loyalty for her stirs the
depths of her heart, causing both her and Tamahome to love each other devotedly.
It is their dream and greatest wish to be with each other forever and this
makes their love so strong Miaka and Tamahome's love is passionate, deep,
and moving.
Miaka has an
extreme appetite and can consume large amounts of food. *Did you notice
in every anime series, there's always someone that can eat ALOT? There's
Usagi in Sailor Moon, Goku in DBZ, Yukito in CCS, Miaka here, Kento in
RW. Running theme, maybe.* Her stomach gets top priority over her mind
and there are times Miaka is wanders unwillingly towards food because she
is hungry and falls into a trap. Miaka can eat but she can't cook. *Another
running theme.* When Miaka tried to prepare food for her friends, it came
out all burnt and nasty but sweet, adorable Tamahome ate it anyways along
with everyone else's share. *Ooh. bad idea.*
