Duo stared wearily at the computer screen. Everyday, when he didn't have a mission, he had been getting on the computer, hunting down Wufei. To no avail. It seems that Wufei had been right, he really *wasn't* going to find him. And that thought made Duo's heart ache. He knew that everyday that passed, he had a bigger chance of Wufei slipping up and leaving behind some trace of himself. And that was the only thing that kept him going.

It had been 5 and a half months. 5 and a half long, weary months. Everyday of those 5 and a half months, Duo was on the computer, searching and searching for the Chinese boy. And every night, he cried in the dark, wondering where he was.

~If you really love me
then why are you leaving me?~

'Why did you leave me, Wufei? Why didn't you stay to work things out with me? Did you really think I didn't love you? That I don't love you now?'

~I can't think,
think about this crazy day.

About a week later, Duo was back at their old safe house. The 4 pilots had been holed up their for the last month, hiding from the spys from OZ. Quatre had refused to let Duo stay in his and Wufei's old room, so he went to the room where Wufei had stayed before they had roomed together, much to Quatre's disapproval. It even still smelled like him, much to Duo's aching heart's content.

Duo was going through the small closet, putting up some new clothes he had bought to replace the torn ones he currently had, when he saw a small white book lying in the corner. What was this? A diary?

Duo sat down on the bed, and stared at the small white book. It had little chinese writings on the front, and he had no idea what they said, but then he saw the gold inscription on the side. It read 'Special Things', and was in Wufei's hand writing. Did he translate the whole thing? Duo hoped so.

Flipping through the first half, Duo saw nothing but chinese markings, and it drove him mad, knowing that these were the true inner thoughts of his love, and he couldn't even *read* them! How messed up was that? But what was this?

Duo reached the mid point, and found a page in English. It read, in the same gold english writing as the front, 'Special memories - translation for Duo, Trowa, Quatre, and Heero' Eyes filling with tears, Duo flipped to the next page.

The next four pages were folded, and each had a name on them. Duo supposed that Wufei had meant for them to each open their own page seperatly. Privacy, still big on the privacy. Duo almost laughed through the tears forming in his large violet eyes. Same as always, koi.

Duo flipped to his page and opened it. It said-

Duo~

Don't you realize that you showed people life, instead of taking it away? Don't you realize you showed *me* life? That you showed me love, for the first time? I love you, itoshii, forever. Even if you will never return my love.

Sobbing, Duo clutched the small white book to his chest. He lay there for the rest of the day, reading and re-reading the note, until he finally carefully tore it out. Folding it into neat, perfect squares, he put it in his pocket near his chest. Near his heart. Then he heard the laptop that Heero had given him on the table beep. Mission.

Reaching up, he brought the computer to his lap and typed in his passcode. When the mission came up, he realized it had been sent to all the pilots. Even Wufei. Eyes widening, he read the message, smiling at the end.

He would finally get to see Wufei.
