These are DBZ characters that did something in Cell's favor.
Dr. Gero- He should get all of the credit. If it wasn't for Dr. Gero, Cell never would have been created!!
Goku- Why Goku? Well, if Goku had destroyed Dr. Gero in DragonBall, then once again-Cell never would have been created. Or, it he let Krillin kill Vegeta, Cell never would had the opportunity to absorb 18. Also, he cells are part of Cell.
Android 17- 17 was the first step to Cell's ultimate form of perfection...even thought 17 didn't help Cell in the looks department.
Android 18- Android 18 was an important part in Cell's life. She was the final key to a doorway of perfection for Cell. And along with that, she made Cell adorably cute! ^_~
Vegeta- If Vegeta was killed the first time he came to Earth, Cell never would have absorbed 18. Because of his ignorance, Vegeta allowed Cell to go ahead and absorb 18, so he could have a challenge. Also, if it wasn't for Vegeta, Trunks would not have been born to travel in time. Also, Vegeta's cells are part of Cell.
Trunks-Trunks' time machine is what allowed Cell to travel in time to find the androids. Though if Trunks was never born, the androids wouldn't have been destroyed and Cell would've absorbed them. But since the androids had already destroyed a good portion of the cities, Cell would've been bored to death!
Krillin-If Krillin hadn't destroyed the controller and actually did shut down 18, Cell never would have made it to his complete form...(then he'd been that ugly forever!? Iwe)...Also, Krillen's cells are part of Cell.
Tien- The only significence he had in Cell's life was that his cells were part of Cell.
Piccolo-Same as Tien and that allowed Cell to regenerate. If Cell couldn't regenerate himself, he wouldn't have had a tail to absorb the androids and become complete.
Frieza- Same as Tien and Piccolo.
Bulma- If it wasn't for Bulma, two major things wouldn't have happened. First, Trunks is her son...so go figure. And if she was stupid or didn't even exist, the time machine wouldn't have been built, so Cell wouldn't have been able to travel in time even if Trunks did exist.
See how important some of these people are? The only one that we could live without is Gohan! Then Cell would still be alive!!
