Character: Tsuzuki Asato
Series: Yami no Matsuei
Worn at: Anime 2003
Made of: Black suit-jacket. Black pants, black shoes, white shirt, gark-gray tie, soft-yellow plushe, tiarathingy, belt.
Ah, prepareing cosplay for Anime 2003 was such a mess ^^;; The first trouble came wiht my origional choise, being Ayanami Rei from Evangelion. I won't go into detail, but it didn't push through. So eventually I thought "what the hell. I wish to cosplay. I wish to cosplay as someone I feel comfortable with... that leaves me with Tsuzuki..."
So I made a mental check of how much Tsuzuki and I had in common (i.e. what I didn't have to buy/change/pay special attention to) Managed to put an officesuit together (with help from my parents ^^), bought a tie, bought plushe and made puppy-ears, paws and a tail, made sure nothing would fall off and prepared for the Con. In addition, Sharon let me borrow Nicky (white tiger plushie) so that he could cosplay as Byakko (he had a sign reading "Nicky the Byakko cosplayer!)
Also (somehow) managed to scrape together enough guts to actually go on stage and say (pretty much) the following: "Konban wa. I'm Tsuzuki Asato and I've been send here on behave of the summoning department of Juu-Oh-Chou to give the following message. If you see a man with platinum-blonde hair, white clothes and one freaky fake eye, walk away, do not aprouch, and inform the nearest shinigami, we are looking for him."
Now, you may think "what the hell's so great about that?" But for me, it was pretty big. I have a hideous stagefright and all through the waiting (was last on the list)I was one big bundle of nerves. After the 'performance'I was ready to faint. it was scary...
Thus, the story of the great Tsuzuki Cosplay.
