Ever get a 'What if...?' idea but don't have enough time to write it through? I get them a lot. Unfortunately, they tend to never get put down. However, I've made up for some of the better ideas by making them challenges. Here they are:
A Dragon Ball Z challenge, with the following guidelines:
1) The fiction must be a multi-part fic.
2) The story starts after Piccolo Daimaou dies.
3) Kami decides to raise his nephew, Piccolo Daimaou Junior.
4) Mr. Popo has to be scared of the kid (at least in the beginning).
5) Kami’s also training Son Goku.
6) At first, Piccolo doesn’t have his father’s memories, but something in the story triggers them. Try to be original on this part, and don’t make it something obvious like meeting Kami or Goku.
7) There will be at least one scene were Piccolo acts like a normal cute human todler.
8) Daimaou means Demon King, so create a demon character. You get to choose if it will be totally loyal to the kid, or if it wants to take over the title.
9) There better be an over all plot, whether it’s from part 8 or you make it up, I don’t care. I just don’t like pointless fics.
10) You choose if it will be a dark or light fic, but if it’s dark, extra bonus points to ya.
A Fushigi Yuugi challenge with the following guidelines:
1) The story must be a Tasuki/Chichiri or Chichiri/Tasuki fic. (no duh?)
2) Up to three side romances are allowed.
3) The story must be PG-13 or higher in rating.
4) The story will follow one or both of the parallel 'if' questions. "What if Tasuki had jumped Chichiri instead of Miaka?" and "What if Hikou had kidnapped Tasuki instead?"
5) Tama-chan (Mitsukake's cat) appears twice in the story.
6) Miaka gets mentioned five times in the story, but never appears.
7) Kouji shows up in some way.
8) A Nyan-nyan actually acts serious.
9) Chichiri has to be chibi (SD) at least once! (He's so cute when he is!)
