Summary:

This series begins with a young high school girl named Alice, whose family has just moved to the big city (Tokyo). In her new life, Alice is tormented by her next door neighbor, a 7 year old brat named Rin. She makes two friends at her new school, Issei and Jinpachi, two teenage boys who claim to have strange dreams involving another life on the moon. This seems like a passing fantasy, nothing more, until while babysitting Rin, Alice slaps the little brat, which accidently pushes him off the balcony.

After Rin wakes up things start to change rapidly, and the story of the past quickly unfolds. to tell any more of the story would ruin the careful extrapolation of this fascinating series.

The hardest thing to keep straight about this anime is the character's names, and the names of their past incarnations.

Tidbit:

The PSME movie is an attempt to provide an ending to the 6 episode series, and contains mostly clips from these episodes, with some new footage. The movie is also completely told from Alice's point of view.
