Brock's Profile

Here he comes--Pokemon's loverboy, Brock! ^^ J/k...Though that isn't that bad a description. ^_^

Brock's "no-good" father left to train Pokemon when Brock was small. His mom died (I'm not sure if it was before or after, I *think* after), so Brock was left to take care of all his little brothers and sisters. And there are more of them than there are in a preschool class.

As a result, Brock is an accomplished parent. He can cook, clean, sew, vaccum, clean stuff up--and WELL . When Ash came to get the Pewter City Gym Badge, he was helped by Brock's father, Flint (who was selling rocks at the edge of the city, LOL). Pikachu accidentally set off the fire sprinklers in the gym, which weakened Brock's Onix. But (restrained by Brock's siblings) Ash refused to accept the badge, calling Pikachu off and saying he'd be back later. Brock followed Ash to give him the badge, asking Ash to follow his dream for him.

And guess who shows up? THE GOOD-FOR-NOTHING FATHER, FLINT!!! He is now ready to take over the gym so Brock can actually DO something.

(In a really funny moment, Brock says before he goes, he has something to say to Flint. Flint thinks he's going to tell him off--but Brock starts telling him how to take care of the kids! It's like, "Susie is scared of the dark, so she needs a nightlight. And Robbie always wanders off, so tie this bell around his wrist, Bob--"--All this really fast, with Brock piling stuff on Flint; it is darn funny!

(This is getting long...) So, Brock travels around with Ash (Hey, I never called this an episode guide!) until they go get the GS Ball from Professor Ivy. He stays there, saying that Ivy and her weird little triplet aides (Of course, he doesn't CALL them that) need him more than Ash and Misty do. So, Ash and Misty pick up Tracey, travel the Orange Leauge, la dee da dee daa--You see Brock at the Professor's for a moment in P2K. Then, when Ash-tachi come home, they see BROCK in the kitchen!! (Ash is so stunned he runs into him ^_^.)

Apparently Mrs. Ketchum stepped on him while on the way back home after a shopping trip. He's been there ever since. And any time anyone talks about Professor Ivy, he goes all dark and sulks and says, "Don't mention that name."

So they dump Tracey (actually, Tracey wants to stay--more in his bio) at Pallet and take Brock to Johto. (And Brock fans and Tracey haters rejoice, ^_^)
