While the Sailor Scouts searched, the Amazon Quartet had released the Trio from the hourglass and had them chained to a wall. The Trio now wore their old circus apparel, and hung helplessly from the wall. “Let us go!” Hawks Eye demanded.
“Let’s play with them,” suggested Para Para.
“I’m for that,” Cere Cere said. The Trio tried their best to break free, but it was no use.
“I don’t want them to be turned loose,” Zirconia said as he walked up next to the Quartet.
“Don’t worry, Zirkster,” Ves Ves assured him. “They won’t go anywhere.”
“They better not. Remember what the queen wanted.”
“We’ll put them back into the hourglass then,” Cere Cere said. “The only way they can get out is if it breaks.”
“Yeah, and if that happens, they die,” said Jun Jun.
“You better take care of those Sailor Scouts, since they’re wondering around here,” Zirconia warned them.
“We have it all taken care of,” Ves Ves said holding out the hourglass. The Trio disappeared from the wall and reappeared in the hourglass.
Meanwhile, Jupiter was getting anxious. “We’ll never find them at this rate.”
“I’m trying to lock onto the Trio’s whereabouts,” Mercury said while pressing buttons in her mini computer.
The Amazon Quartet were standing in a circle, tossing the hourglass around. “Cere Cere, catch!” Ves Ves said. Cere Cere caught it and threw it to Jun Jun.
“This one’s yours, Para Para,” Jun Jun said. She tossed it to Para Para. The hourglass went right between Para Para’s arms, and shattered on the ground.
“Oops,” Para Para said looking down at it. Hawks Eye, Tigers Eye, and Fish Eye lay on the floor. It wasn’t long before their bodies returned to their original state.
“I found them!” Mercury exclaimed. “They’re down the hall.” The scouts raced down the hall, Jupiter leading the way. They entered a room to see the Quartet standing around animals lying on the ground. Jupiter stopped dead in her tracks.
“Well, girls,” Ves Ves said, “They found them. There you go Sailor Scouts. You found them fair and square.” She pointed to the animals.
“That’s not funny! Where are they?!” Jupiter yelled.
“I told you, they’re right there,” Ves Ves said.
“That’s not the Trio, and you know it,” Sailor Venus said.
“Oh but it is,” Zirconia walked up behind the Amazon Quartet. “They’ve been returned to their original state. They were turned to human beings with this.” He held up the blue orb.
“No,” Jupiter started to cry. “It’s not true!”
“Believe what you want to. That’s the Trio and they’re never coming back.” Zirconia laughed.
Sailor Jupiter kneeled down next to the animals and lifted the hawk in her arms. “Hawks Eye,” she cried softly.
“Oh Lita,” Sailor Moon said.
“Good job, Amazon Quartet. The queen will be very pleased,” Zirconia said.
Jupiter looked up with a fierce look in her eyes. She placed the hawk back on the floor and stood up. “Why you…” She ran towards Zirconia and threw a thunderbolt at his hand, knocking the orb away before he could stop her. Jupiter caught the orb in her hands and ran over to the animals.
“Zirconia! You let her get the orb,” Para Para said.
“It makes no difference,” Zirconia said. “If she uses it to bring the Trio back, then she’ll die.”
“Jupiter!” the other sailors shouted.
Lita looked at the orb in her hands. Then she looked at the animals, and narrowed her eyes on the hawk. “Hawks Eye, you saved my life before. Now I’ll return the favor. I love you always, Hawk.”
“Lita no!” Sailor Moon cried.
Lita held the orb up. “Turn the Trio back to humans!” She said. The orb glowed a bright blue. It left her hands and hovered over the animals. The hawk, tiger, and fish started to take on human shapes. Soon, they Amazon Trio returned back to humans like they were before. Hawks Eye looked up to see Sailor Jupiter. He slowly stood up and said, “Lita…”
“Hawk…” Lita said and she fell to the ground. Hawks Eye caught her.
“Lita,” he said again.
Zirconia started to laugh. “What a foolish girl. Why would someone want to trade their life for the likes of you three?”
Hawk looked back to Lita after hearing this. “Lita, why did you do it?”
“I couldn’t live without you, Hawk.” Lita had said the same thing he had said to her six months ago. “I love you, Hawks Eye.” He eyes shut and her breathing stopped.
“No Lita! Lita!!!” Hawk yelled. He held her body to his. Tears fell on her arm.
Zirconia laughed. “I wouldn’t worry about her Hawks Eye. You’ll be with her soon enough!” Fire surround the Trio and the scouts. Zirconia and the Amazon Quartet disappeared, leaving the others to die.
Sailor Mercury used her Aqua Illusion to temporarily put out the flames. The scouts and Trio were able to run out of the room, but the fire raced after them. Tiger and Fish led the way out of the tent. They escaped through the entrance as the flames were about to hit them. They turned around, and the fire was gone. “It was just an illusion,” said Mars.
Hawks Eye sat on the ground, holding Lita in his arms. “Lita,” he kept on saying. The others gathered around him, with tears in their eyes also.
A thought popped into Sailor Mini Moons head. She stood up and took out her crystal chime and called for Pegasus. The others looked up and wondered what she was doing. Pegasus appeared and landed on the ground next to Sailor Mini Moon. She didn’t have to tell him anything. The lifeless Lita in Hawks Eye’s arms was his explanation. He walked over to Hawks Eye who looked up with a tear stained face. “Hawks Eye, your love for Lita is very strong. As is the love from her friends.” His golden horn glowed and a pink flower appeared in front of Hawk. “Use this flower to restore life to Sailor Jupiter.”
Hawk took the flower in his hand and kissed the petal. Then he leaned down and kissed Lita’s lips. A dim glow appeared around her for a moment, and then disappeared. Everyone waited in hopefulness. Lita’s eyes slowly opened. A smile crossed Hawks Eye’s face. “Lita,” he said.
“Oh Hawk,” she said. Hawk held her up to him and hugged her. “Hawk, I’m so happy you’re okay.”
“Lita!” The scouts cried out and joined Hawk in hugging her. Lita got to her feet and looked at Pegasus. “Thank-you,” she said.
Pegasus smiled and turned to the Amazon Trio. “You three deserve something that you lack.” His horn glowed again. A dream mirror appeared in front of each of the Trio. They looked down in awe.
“Dream mirrors,” said Fish. The mirrors disappeared into their bodies. “Thank-you Pegasus.” Pegasus smiled, and disappeared.
“Your own dream,” Lita said to Hawks Eye.
He kissed her forehead. “I didn’t need a dream mirror to dream about you.” He said.
“Are we done now? I’m starving!” Sailor Moon cried.
“Serena!” Mars yelled. “Do you ever think about something other than your stomach and Darien?”
They all laughed and turned to go home. Hawks Eye and Lita walked slowly down the street to get Hawk’s car. Snow flurries started to fall. Hawk put his arm around Lita and held her close to him as they walked on.
