konnichiwa, minna-san! *bows* i'm mnemosyne and this is masquerade!, my cosplay hole in the internet. cosplay is a shortened version of "costume play" and is used as a name for a hobby in which people make/create costumes in order to imitate a character from any range of sources, including, but not limited to: anime, video games, musical groups, books, and movies. most people cosplay at conventions, but you can really cosplay anytime of any day! ^^ i've been an 'official' cosplayer since nan desu kon '01, and i don't plan on stopping for quite a while. ^-^
masquerade! serves as a portfolio of my work, where you can not only look at my costumes but find out how i went about making them. there's also a tips section for people new to cosplay, convention reports, links to various sites, and a link to †wilted violets†, which is my personal site. the navigation is at bottom; just let your cursor hover the button to see where it will take you. ^^

i added a new costume--this time it's lei-fang from dead or alive! be sure to check it out. i'm also in the process of adding other costumes, so there's bound to be quite a few broken links. after i get back from ax and have some more pictures, i'll have everything spruced up and pretty!

and you thought i was dead! *L* nothing severely new--just more or less blowing the dust off the site. i'm busy as a frantic cosplayer as i try to get all my stuff together for AX. expect a major update when i return and have wound down fromt the excitement a bit.

just doing a few touch-ups here and there. ^^ i did add some more costumes to my "possibilities" page, though, so that might be of interest to some of you. ^^ and don't ask about sanosuke... and i finally got around to adding more pictures of me in my miki outfit with the utena group i ran into. ^^

back from ndk! woo! as they surface (and as i steal them from friends), i will add pictures of kaldea and beast of blood mana. dormouse and i are also planning on having a photoshoot sometime, so i'll hopefully be able to get some more decent pictures. kaldea's and rei's costume pages are now up as well.
