Nadesico Synopsis

Along the way you come across many great mech shows and in very few cases do you find a great mech/comedy. Well yes if you have not already guess Nadesico is a mech show with lots of comedy in it. The show starts off with the introduction of Tenka Akito are main character that witnesses the death of his people on mars in particular a little girl. For some weird reason Akito is transported to earth in a glow. Two years pass and the earth has hired a private battleship run by Nergal to stop the attack of the Jovian Lizards. Eventually while bike riding in order to find some work Akito bums into a familiar person from his past. This person is Yurika a girl who is infatuated with him ever since childhood. Well Yurika is in a rush to go some where and Akito has a hard time remembering her then like a strike of lightning he remembers her and decides to bike ride after her in order to get the truth about his parents death.

Eventually he gets to the place she is going and learns that she is captain of the Nadesico which is about to ship off to reclaim Mars. Ironically Akito is hired on the ship to be a cook but ends up becoming a pilot thanks to the mishap of another pilot breaking his leg. Thus Akito becomes a pilot/cook aboard the Nadesico thus starting the 26-episode saga of Nadesico. Eventually many secrets are revealed about what happened on Mars and the secrets of the Jovian lizards however I will not blow these secrets or the ending to the series. However after the series does indeed comes a movie, which is intended to be watched after seeing the final episode of the show, which dramatically has an impact on the story. So if your in the mood to see a great series I suggest you see Nadesico it has a great amount of action as well as jokes it will not disappoint.
