When we saw Irma Lair at the Sheffield Institue she was sitting under a tree and listening to her CD's. We had to wave and wave to get her attention.

Oh, not at all. I'm actuall early for once!

Yeah, I'm in 2B with Taranee and Hay Lin.

How do you like school so far?
I don't like my subjects much! Well, except maybe Geograhpy.

We heard your dad is a policeman . . .
What's your family like?
My dad is great, really hardworking. My mom stays home and takes care of us. She's very funny! My brother Chris . . . (sticks out her tongue) he tries to get to me with his tricks.

Do you have pets at home?
Yes! Leafy, my trutle. We're more like best friends 'cause I tell him everything.

Are boys all falling in love with you now?
(Blushes) I'm only 13! I know some boys who are my friends. Other than that, I'm not telling!

How about magic, will you talk to us about that?
Well, just between us, I think it's all very exciting! Don't tell anyone, but I have power over water and I can really do cool things with it. But the best thing about it is, I can stay in the tub for hours and not get pruny fingers!
