Update 9 - 11/12/02
Fixed some things with the guide that should've been fixed awhile ago. I haven't been paying this site nearly as much attention as I should, but its easy to never have time especially during this time of year. As soon as I have a reason to I'll move the site off angelfire and onto my friend's server at digitalinsanity.ath.cx
Update 8 - 7/30/02
A whole month and no updates? Well, theres some catching up to do. I added an AMV section detailing my projects in AMV production. I want to get a review site up sometime but theres so many gosh darned AMVs out there to review @.@. I know I promised an updated guide a long time ago, but stuffs been a mess. Its the final month of summer and its time to start doing stuff. As soon as I get my computer back (it was swiped by those theives known as parents on account of I suck at listening :P) I promise I'll make the updated guide. Other than that.... hmmm, nothing new I guess. More updates in a week!
Update 7 - 6/26/02
Well it seems as though after 4 days my site has re-emerged from the hell of rejected angelfire accounts and is in full swing again. This all has inspired me to open up an AMV section of the site.. don't ask how.. anyway, so I'll set that up soon. Just reviews, I'm not gonna host any videos of course (this is angelfire). And who knows, maybe someday I'll make a video myself... mwahahaha
Update 6 - 6/14/02
Guide will be redone, fixed, and updated in 1 week when I get back from vacation. Basically it will be re-organized and better explained.
Update 5.75 - 6/3/02
Added some Ed graphics to the site. Yay. _ _ Guide will soon be updated. Thats about all.
Update 5.5 - 5/22/02
Well.. not much of an update, I'm just sitting here listening to cowboy bebop music and I feel like writing something (its been awhile since any updates). It seems XCD is coming along incredibly well over at Doom9, someday soon I'll have to start up on a Menu2XCD guide, since XCD is gonna support menus (yay). Nothing much new with the main guide, I'm waiting until finals are done to start re-doing it. By the way, if any of you guys reading this live in Boca Florida, stop by at my girlfriend's house and give 'er a flower or something for me. That was innane.. well anyway, better be going now, seeya all when theres a real update.
Update 5 - 5/8/02
Well it seems that at times splitting by cell-id in Vstrip is required instead of by vob-id. I have hesitations about adding this to the guide.. but owell. If anyone has had trouble with anything in the guide please contact me (think of it like all of you are guinea pigs testing this process on all the thousands of different dvds out there ^.^)
Update 4 - 5/6/02
- ::drools at shiny new DSL modem that has just arrived in mail:: well folks, looks like I'll finally be able to turn this site into something worthwhile! (well.. as worthwhile as angelfire can get). On the guide front, I added some info about audio-less transitions, and I already have a slew of upgrades for the next version. So far, it basically revolves around splitting the guide into a few separate pages and otherwise bringing order and organization to the chaos that is my page.
Update 3 - Well here it finally is! I know I could have probably covered a bit more but I really wanted to get this thing out. For instance, I'm not completely satisfied with my explanation of how to author. At this point, the guide requires that you have some basic knowledge about creating SVCDs and about authoring. Anyway, thats what constructive criticism and 2.0 versions are about! Reach me at Missingno0
or comment on this thread in Doom9's forum.
Update 2 (pre-release) yes, okay, it's been how many weeks since I proclaimed menus for the masses? Life and people have seriously impeded progress *as usual* and now, at 1:20 on Saturday night, I'm sick of getting caught up doing other things. Grab me a cup of coffee and get ready for an all nighter, I'm finishing this damned thing.
Update 1 (pre-release) I had about half of the guide written up using a completely different process, when I realized that this one would actually be easier. I had been trying to avoid DVD2AVI frameserving because I thought it would make the process too complicated, but it seems in fact that it will make it a little simpler.
