Age of Empires 2:The Conquerors Strategy and Tips for Random Map Games
1.Build extra villagers(about 15 in Dark Age, 10 more in Feudal Age, 15 more in Castle Age, and 20 more in Imperial Age. 60 total)
2.First you will need wood so build a lumber camp next to trees and make your villagers lumberjacks. Then use the wood to build farms around your Town Center and make your villagers farmers
3.Make a few soldiers for protection early in case your enemy rushes you, but save most of the resources to get to the next age.
4.Knights/Cavaliers/Paladins are important but make Swordsmen to protect them from Halberdiers.
5.If you can start out fast, attack your enemies with Man-at-Arms or other Fedual Age soldiers before your enemy gets too strong.
6.If you start off slow, build some towers around your town and 4 soldiers for protection then just concentrate on your economy.
7.Make 4-5 villager right away in a random map game. Each villager takes 25 seconds to make so you will need to put up the first house in 25 seconds.
8.You may want to use early found sheep early in the game before going to farming.
