Goku 1/2 Chapter 1 Disclaimer: The characters in this fanfic are not mine. They're someone else's. I took them without permission, but I promise I'll return them in relatively good condition. Please don't sue me. The sun sparkled brillantly through the tops of the trees and onto the two travelers below. A man threaded his way through the forest with a 6 year old boy trailing behind him. The man was about average height wearing a white gi and had a white bandana covering the top of his head. The boy had black hair tied up in a pigtail and was also wearing a white gi. They were making good progress through the forest, but this didn't seem to be good enough for the man. "Come on, Boy! A true martial artist must have both speed and endurance as his allies," The one known as Genma Saotome said. "Sorry, Pop. It's just that I'm so hungry," The boy replied. His stomach growled for emphasis. "Bah! Ranma, a martial artist is able to go days without food or water," Genma responded. "By sacrificing some things he can devote himself more to the Art, and you know how impor...what's that?" That in question was some sort of weird sphere that was imbeded into the ground. It was white and had what appeared to be a large window in the front. A trail of devastation through the forest followed it. Trees were knocked down and some looked scorched. The ground had been pushed to the side as if the sphere had skidded for a while before coming to a stop. Ranma reached forward and gently placed his palm on the surface of the pod. It was slightly warm. "Hey Pop, d'you think this could've been that strange light that we saw this morning? Could this be a spaceship?" He asked with his eyes wide open in wonder. "Nonsense, Boy. Everyone knows that spaceships don't exist. They belong in the fantasy world of aliens, robots, demons, and pheonix kings, and not here in the real world of martial arts," Genma said and he passed his hand along the smooth front of the pod. He seemed to have activated something because with a loud whoosh, the window of the pod swung upwards. Inside was what appeared to be an ordinary baby boy. With gravity defying hair. And a furry brown tail. Okay fine, so it wasn't an ordinary baby. 'Hmmmm. Maybe I can sell him for something,' Genma thought as he reached forward and picked up the baby. Lifting it up to his face, he appraised it. Then for no apparent reason, the baby lashed out and kicked Genma in the head. Caught completely off guard, he fell backwards and dropped it. Ranma watched with amazement as the baby landed on its feet. It then leapt foward onto Genma and continued its offensive by gnawing on his leg. "My God!" Genma shouted. "Such speed! Such strength! Such fighting spirit! This baby must be destined for greatness as a martial artist! I must train him to be the best. I'll adopt him into our family. Ranma meet...uh...Goku, after the great samurai warrior. He's your new brother!" A large sweat drop formed on the back of Ranma's head. "Uh sure, Pop." Genma scooped the child up from the ground and tucked him underneath one arm. Goku really didn't seem to like that and resisted by flailing around. Because he was in a bad position, he couldn't do any real damage, but his movements did cause Genma to shift his position a bit which made Goku go quiet all of a sudden. Genma attributed it his great skill at being a father and dealing with children. Full of joy at having another son who would become a great martial artist, Genma left towards the next town hoping to get some clothes and food. Ranma trailed behind him, still not sure of what to make of this whole thing. Neither one noticed that Goku's tail was pinned tightly against Genma's side. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few days later, the three sat around a fire, camped out for the night. The past few days had been a living hell for Genma as Goku repeatedly tried to kill, maim, or at the very least cripple his "father." Genma was proud of those actions and kept on saying how fine a martial artist Goku will be when he grows up. Ranma couldn't figure out if Goku was like that towards everyone or if he just knew what Genma was like. He seemed to be focusing on Genma as his main opponent and attacked Ranma only if he got in his way. Only when Genma held him in a special way did he calm down. Ranma tried to learn if it was an actual technique that his father was using or if was just dumb luck. The only other times Goku wasn't actively trying to kill Genma was when he was sleeping or eating. Goku seemed to take quite a passion to eating and easily could polish off a meal that was meant for an adult despite his small size. Ranma was amazed. Sure he ate a lot but he didn't think he had eaten that much when he was young. Then again, he really didn't have any memories of when he was that young and so could easily be wrong. Goku was unusually calm tonight. Even though he wasn't being held, he was quiet and actually seemed to be happy. Almost as if he knew something very good was going to happen. As it was, the three peacefully watched the full moon come out from behind the clouds. Ranma was the first to notice that something was wrong. 'Goku usually doesn't have red eyes. Hmmmm. Must just be a trick of the light.' When Goku started growing bigger, Ranma had a much harder time explaining that. The hair sprouting all over Goku's body also left Ranma at a loss for an explanation. The large teeth and snout forming didn't help any either. By this time, Genma had noticed. Having a 30 foot were-monster grow next to you is pretty hard to ignore. "Boy, here's a bit of advice. When confronted by a monster like this, a martial artist should not panic. A martial artist should not be afraid. And most importantly, a martial artist should not stick around!" Genma sprinted off away from Goku as fast as he could. For once agreeing completely with his father's advice, Ranma followed suit. A loud bellowing could be heard from behind them as Goku went on a rampage, tearing down all the nearby trees. He stamped his feet, cracking the ground, and roared again. Spotting the fleeing martial arts, he was about to give chase when some clouds drifted over the moon, blocking off its light once again. A full minute passed after the bellowing stopped before Genma and Ranma quit running. Looking back, they just saw the night sky and tree tops where a giant monster had just been. Ranma glanced at the almost hidden moon. "Could it have been that?" he whispered. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Goku woke up the next morning refreshed after a good night's sleep. He rose to his feet not caring that he was completely naked and looked around. Genma and Ranma sat there staring at him with terrified expressions on their faces. They didn't look like they had slept at all during the night 'So,' Goku thought to himself, 'they're still alive. I guess I'll just have to destroy them the old fashioned way.' And with that, he launched himself at the fiend who kept on grabbing his tail. Seeing Goku acting like he usually did made Genma recover enough to defend himself. Soon everything was back to normal. Well at least back to what passed for normal the past few days. The only thing that had changed was that Genma and Ranma vowed they would never let Goku see the full moon again. Things changed much more that afternoon. They were walking near the edge of a trench when Genma paused to shift Goku to a new position. He had been carrying him that way for over two hours, and his arms were starting to ache. Goku took full advantage of his momentary freedom. He leapt off Genma's chest, propelling himself away from his tormentor. What he hadn't counted on was the fact that he had just jumped straight into the trench. Right as fell into the depths, a hand shot out and grabbed his arm. "Hold on Goku! I'll pull you up!" Ranma yelled as he started to pull Goku out of the trench. To his amazement and horror, Goku savagely bit his hand. "Ow!" He shouted. He reflexively pulled back his hand, releasing his grip. Without anything holding him up, Goku plummetted down the chasm. "NO!" Ranma cried. He spied a path that led to the bottom and sped towards it. Genma wasn't far behind. He wasn't about to lose the future world's best martial artist that easily. When they reached the bottom, they were shocked to find that Goku was perfectly fine minus the fact that his head was imbeded in the rock. His legs were flailing around as he tried to push himself out of the ground. After pulling him out, they discovered that he really was all right except for a bump on his head that would probably heal completely in an hour or until the next screen shot, whichever came first. Goku rubbed his head to ease the pain and then looked up at Genma. "Father," he said and then ran up and gave Genma a hug. Genma was shocked at this behaviour. 'Where was the eagerness to spar that this boy had shown earlier? Oh well, it's probably for the best as I won't have to carry him anymore. And I can relax as he isn't trying to kill me all day long. Besides, the shore isn't too far away and I don't want to have to swim to China with such a violent child on my back.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Several years passed. From that point on Goku was the perfect child. He always did what he was told, complained very little unless he was hungry, and took to martial arts with the same eagerness that Rama did. His skill was improving with each day, but he wasn't at all a match for Ranma or Genma yet. Genma was proud at how fast he was developing physically as well; he was much faster and stronger than Ranma was at his age. Much stronger. Genma thought the boy would soon be able to surpass him in strength if not skill or speed. Goku's weakness had been discovered fairly quickly and some sparring matches degenerated into games of 'Grab that Tail.' However, on this day things would change. It was the usual Saotome morning. The three way sparring match was just like any other. Goku tried to keep anyone from grabbing his tail while attacking when he saw an opening. Ranma spent his time either dodging or striking. And Genma spent his time trying to grab Goku's tail, dodge any attacks, and use every cheap trick he knew to get an advantage. Finally, Genma snagged Goku's tail, just as Ranma delivered a kick to Goku from the front. He was expecting Goku to block or dodge it or at the very least try to minimize the force of the blow, and was amazed to see Goku lower his guard as his tail was grabbed. The blow connected soldily and sent him flying through the air. Unfortunately, no one had realized that they had camped next to a cliff that night. Over the edge Goku went. "Oh no!" Ranma groaned. "Not again." He really wasn't concerned with Goku's health this time as he knew the boy could take it, especially with his martial arts training. Ranma and Genma grabbed their packs and jogged down a path that they hoped would lead them to the bottom of the cliff. Had they bothered to glance over the edge of the cliff, they would have seen that Goku was hanging right near its top. He pulled himself up and mumbled something about getting Ranma for that. Then he looked around. His pack was gone along with Genma's and Ranma's. "RANMA! FATHER! WHERE ARE YOU?" Hearing no reply, Goku wandered off to try and find his family. After about an hour of searching at the bottom of the cliff, Genma and Ranma were exhausted. "Where could he have gone?" Genma wailed. "It's not like him to just disappear!" "I dunno, Pop. He should know we'd come looking for him after he fell. He might've gotten hit on the head again and changed like he did that other time. Maybe he thinks he's a wild animal now." Ranma said as he pointed into the deep forest. Spotting movement, he ran towards it. "Hey Goku! Goku!" Leaping over a bush, he landed right in front of the source of the movement. At this time Ranma would had said something like, 'That's not Goku!' but he had other things on his mind. "C--c-cc-c--cc-cc--aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!" He came charging back out of the forest with a slightly confused tiger behind him. Usually its meals didn't jump up right in front of it, but hey, it wasn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth. Mmmmmm...horse. Smacking its lips, the tiger redoubled its efforts to catch Ranma. Genma soon joined Ranma in fleeing from the tiger, and all thoughts of finding Goku were forgotten for the time being. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Goku had been walking for several hours, and he was getting tired and hungry. And upset. Very upset. He didn't like being lost and hungry. Punching a nearby tree made him feel a lot better. The same could not be said for the tree. It was much worse after that punch. In fact, it fell over. "Ummm. Excuse me, child," a voice said, "But could you not destroy the forest?" Goku turned to see an old man with a fairly large sweat drop on the side of his head. "Oh! I'm sorry. I was just upset at losing my family. I promise I won't do it again. My name's Goku." "Pleased to meet you Goku. I'm Gohan. I know it hurts to lose someone you love but mourning them the rest of your life won't solve anything." Goku, not being the brightest of fellows, completely missed the implications of what Gohan was saying. He also was distracted by the sudden growling of his stomach. "Hungry, eh? Why don't you come to my house and I'll get you something to eat?" The prospect of food lit up Goku's eyes. "Okay." He followed the old man deeper into the forest and away from the cliff where he and his family had camped for the night. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Hmmm...think we should go back?" Genma asked his remaining son. "What're you nuts? Goku might be my brother, and I'd fight anything in the world to save him, but t-that's a c-c-cc--c-tiger! We can't beat that thing no matter how hard we try. It probably already got him with those huge teeth and vicious claws and blood thristy..." "RANMA! That's enough." 'He's really starting to freak me out. Maybe, just maybe, I shouldn't have taught him the Neko-ken.' "Damnit!" Ranma swore. "If only I didn't have this stupid fear of cats, I'd be able to save Goku. He might have been able to escape from the tiger, right? I mean, he's pretty strong for someone his age, so he could've held it off for long enough to run away." "While you and Goku are very skilled in martial arts, there is still much for you to learn. As much as I'd like to wish otherwise, I don't think Goku would stand a chance against that tiger." "But...you don't know for sure. do you? Goku could be out there needing our help! If you can distract the tiger, I'm sure I can find him." "Fighting a tiger is still no small feat, even for a martial artist such as myself." "You don't have to fight, just hold its attention so that it d-doesn't come after me." "Ranma! A martial artist does not show cowardice!." "And so what exactly are you doing?" "..." "Pops, we have to try to save Goku. I know I can't do anything about the t-tiger, but I still think we can save him." "How, Ranma? I know you love your brother dearly, but do you really think we can do anything against that man-eating tiger? And even if we could, it's been too long for it to not have eaten Goku yet. I know this is hard to accept, Ranma, but it is part of the circle of life. Goku was born in the forest, and now he has returned to it to die. It is the natural cycle of all living things to go back to where they were born to die. We must accept his loss and carry on into the future." "But...Damnit! Goku, I'm sorry." The two travellers set off with heavy hearts at the loss of a loved one. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Three years passed. After finding out that Goku had 'lost' his family and had no home, Gohan immediately adopted him, and Goku began calling him Grandfather. Goku became very happy in his new home and forgot all about looking for Ranma and Genma. Gohan was overjoyed that Goku was a martial artist, and he began to teach him his techniques. Since Goku was good at bare-handed combat already, Gohan taught him how to use a bo. He presented his special bo given to him by his master, the power pole, as a gift to Goku to train with. Goku eagerly learned this new combat style and soon became quite proficient in it. He also became at home in the forest and had no problems fending for himself against the large creatures that roamed within it. He learned to hunt and cook them, as well as doing other chores such as chopping firewood. The only thing Goku kept from his old life was his promise never to look at the full moon. At first Gohan had accepted that, but recently he began to question it. "Goku there's a full moon tonight. Why don't you come see it with me?" "I'd rather not." "Why not Goku? What's so bad about seeing the full moon?" "Well, it's just that my old family always told me not to look at it. I don't know why; it's just a rule they had. But I guess it's okay for me to if you want me to so badly." "That's a good boy. You'll see. A full moon is a beautiful and wonderous sight." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Hey Pops. Isn't this where..you know...where we...um...I mean...Goku and...uh..." Ranma and Genma were indeed close to the cliff where they had lost Goku three years ago. They had completed one section of their circuit of China and were travelling through this part again in order to get to another section. Genma hung his head in shame at the memory of that event. 'I am a horrible father to have left my son to that tiger.' "Yes, Ranma, it is." Although Genma would rather have not lost Goku, he was amazed at the effect that tragic event had had on Ranma. He trained like there was nothing else his life and with a passion that went far beyond what he used to have. Almost as if he felt he had to make up for something. 'For the loss of Goku?' Genma wondered. 'Does Ranma blame himself?' "I wonder if that tiger's still around. This time I'll show it a thing or two." Genma glanced nervously at Ranma after hearing the tone of voice his son used. 'He's been surpressing his rage all this time. I'd better not upset him.' Genma hit the nail on the head with that one. The fact that Ranma was glowing a faint blue probably gave it away. "I don't think so. Anyway, it's getting dark. We should set up camp." A little while later, they lay on the grass looking up at the night sky. Both were thinking about Goku and how much they missed him, but they soon found themselves focusing on what good times they had with him. When the moon came out Ranma gave a bit of a chuckle. "Remember what happened when Goku saw the full moon that one time?" Genma grinned. "How could I forget? I wonder if that technique was anything like the Neko-ken?" "I don't think so. Otherwise wouldn't Goku be afraid of the moon?" They both broke out laughing at that. The mental picture of Goku trying to run away from the moon was just too hilarious for them not to. Their laughter was cut short as it was interrupted by a loud bellowing. The two martial artist gazed at each other with a mixture of horror and joy on their faces. "GOKU!" They both shouted simultaneously. "It came from that way." Ranma pointed. They ran off in that direction as fast as they could. After a few minutes of running, they burst into a clearing containing a house and were-monster Goku. Screeching to a halt, they wondered what the hell they were going to do now that they had found him. Goku was occupied with pounding the house into the oblivion and hadn't noticed them. "The tail!" Ranma shouted, leaping onto it and squeezing it with all his might. Genma grabbed it a split second later. Goku stopped bashing the house and hung limp, his energy drained by the pressure on his tail. "It's working, but how long can we keep this up?" Genma face hardened. He knew what he had to do. He took a deep breath and concentrated. Energy flowed from his body as he prepared to use one of the Saotome Forbidden Techniques. "KIJIN RAISHUU-DAN!" He shouted, while unleashing his attack. The Ki powered vacuum strike sliced cleanly through Goku's tail. The tail fell off and impacted against the ground. Goku screamed in pain and fell to his knees. Genma and Ranma leapt off him as he began to shrink back down to his normal size. As soon as the transformation was complete, Genma ran forward and cradled his son in his arms, giving thanks to whatever gods that were listening. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When Goku woke up the next morning, he noticed a few things were wrong. One, where was his room? Two, where was the house? Three, where was Grandfather? Four, who were that man and that boy sleeping beside him. Five, where was that draft coming from? Then, Goku realized that he was naked. Leaping to his feet, he went to find his clothes, but promptly fell flat on his face. "Whaaa?" Six, where was his tail? "My tail! It's gone! Where'd it go?" Momentarily forgetting his clothes, Goku tried to find out where his tail was. It was quite a difficult task as he couldn't take two steps without falling over. Eventually he adjusted to his new balance and could make a whopping 15 steps without falling. He also found his tail. Goku picked it up and just stared at it. "My tail..." Deciding that clothes would come in handy right about now, he got up and managed to find one of his blue outfits and his power pole admist the wreckage. Then Goku turned his attention to the strangers. After a moment's pause, he realized that they weren't strangers. "Father!" he cried and glomped Genma. This woke up the afore-mentioned person. "Goku!" "Father!" "Goku!" "Father!" "Would you two cut that out!!! I mean...uh...it's my turn. Goku!" "Ranma!" "Goku!" "Ranma!" "Alright that's enough you two. It's good to see you again, Son. I hope you haven't let your skills deteriorate" Grining, Goku got into a battle stance, ready for a good old sparring match when a nagging thought finally managed to hammer itself into his head. "Grandfather!" "Huh?" "Where's Grandfather? Grandfather!" "Who's Grandfather, son? You have no grandfather." "I think he means him, old man". Ranma pointed to Gohan's broken body. "NNOOOOOOO!" Goku screamed. He rushed up to the body and knelt beside it. "Wake up, Grandfather! Wake up! You can't die! Grandfather? GRANDFATHER!!!" Goku broke down sobbing. Then in a dark and menacing voice, he spoke again. "Who did this?" Ranma facefaulted. "You mean you don't remember? It was yo..." "Quiet, Boy!" Genma interrupted him by smashing Ranma's head into the ground with his foot. "Goku, the reason why we always want you to be careful around the full moon is because a monster roams around during it. It could get you so you must always be on your guard. This monster attacked here last night. It killed your grandfather, destroyed that house and cut off your tail. I'm sorry but there's nothing you could have done. But we're here for now, Son. We missed you so much and the only reason we weren't still looking for was because we believed you to be dead." "But...Grandfather..." Goku managed to work out between sobs. "Now come now, Boy. You must leave this behind you and return to your real family." He hugged Goku. Ranma was impressed. Genma had actually explained this all without lying. Well, without lying very much. He still remembered that they had found Goku in some sort of spacecraft and that he was not his biological brother. After burying Gohan, the reunited family continued its journey that had been interrupted for three long years. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Several more years passed, and Goku's tail regrew. Genma refused to teach the Saotome Forbidden Techniques despite Ranma's insistence. Goku had improved greatly in his stay with Gohan. He was much faster and stronger than he was before. Much stronger. He could perform feats that would amaze Ranma and Genma, such as turning huge trees into firewood in neat piles in midair with his bare hands. Under their training, he got even better. He became even faster than he was before. Not as fast as Ranma was, but he was getting closer to that level of speed with each passing day. However, Genma's and Ranma's superior skill in martial arts still enabled them to win in the morning sparring matches. That and a rule of Anything Goes was that "if your opponent gets incredibly weak whenever you grab his tail then feel free to do so." Or at least that's what Genma kept on saying although he still had to figure out where Goku learned to use that red stick of his. He said his grandfather trained him, and Genma began to wish he had known this person, for Goku handled the pole with great skill. Even though Anything Goes was a barehanded fighting style, Goku still used it, especially to hit Genma when he tried to steal his food. Genma was also not very pleased when he found out that Goku could make the pole grow so that he would still get hit even if he ran away. Not that a brave martial artist like Genma could run from anything; he just wanted to get a tactical advantage. There wasn't a repeat of the were-monster incident as Goku dutifully obeyed the rule that he must never look at the full moon. Ranma's skills also improved greatly, and he could beat Genma regularly in their morning sparring matches. He found that his brother became his primary opponent while Genma would seek to get in any cheap shots on either of them until one would get fed up and flatten him. Soon they arrived at the fabled training grounds of Jusenkyo. "Ah. The last place in China we have to go to before we can return to Japan." Genma said. "Really? Wow, ten years goes by pretty quickly. This means we get to see Mom again, right?" Ranma said. Genma laughed heartily. "Of course, my Boy. I haven't have one of her delcious home cooked meals for a long time now." "Who's Mom?" Goku asked. Ranma sweatdropped. "Uh...you've never met her, Goku. She's a very nice person who cooks great food." "Wow! I can't wait to meet her." "Alright! Enough chatter! Let's go!" Genma and his two sons leapt to the top of the bamboo poles. "No, Mr. Customers! It very dangerous to fight here. The springs are very bad if you fall in." A guide yelled as he emerged from his hut. The Saotomes paid him no attention. Their heads were full of the thought of finishing their training here so they could go to Japan and enjoy the finest cooking they've had in years. Balancing on the poles, the three martial artists faced each other. They all leapt in the air at the same time. After a brief flurry of punches, Genma fell into a spring. Goku's stomach chose that moment to growl, which distracted him long enough for Ranma to knock him into another spring. That was another one of Goku's weaknesses. He couldn't concentrate on fighting if he was hungry. Landing on a pole, Ranma chuckled. "That all you got, Pop?" He said cockily. Just then a panda erupted from the spring Genma had fallen into. "What the..." The panda lashed out with a paw, knocking Ranma into one of the pools below. He burst to the surface. Or rather HE didn't burst to the surface, SHE did. Ranma brushed aside his red hair and stared down at her chest in shock. "Huuuhhh?" "Oh no! Very bad, Mr. Customer sir. You fall in spring of drowned panda. Tragic legend of panda who drown there 2000 year ago. Now whoever fall in that spring take body of panda. You Mr. Customer sir fall in spring of drowned girl. Very tragic story about a girl who drown there 1500 year ago. And you Mr. Customer fall in spring of drowned...spring of drowned...what is that?" The guide pulled out his Jusenkyo guidebook and started leafing through it. Everyone else was also trying to figure out what exactly Goku was. He was the same height and build, but he was missing his tail. He was completely bald and had two short antenna emerging from right above his forehead. He had fangs instead of his normal teeth, and his skin was very green and reptlian. "What am I?" He said as he stared at himself. "Ah here it is! You fall in spring of drowned namek. Very tragic story about namek that drown there 500 year ago. But what is namek?" The guide began to leaf through the book again trying to find out what exactly a namek was. Genma stalked up to the guide and grabbed in his massive arms. Shaking him he screamed. "What have you done? I'm a PANDA. My SON is a GIRL, and my other son is a MARTIAN!!!" Then Genma realized that the guide couldn't understand a word he was saying since pandas can't talk, and quickly wrote what he just said on a sign which he carried with him for emergencies such as this one. How Genma was able to forsee himself not being able to talk will remain a mystery. "Oh, me very sorry Mr. Customer sir, but curse can be reversed with hot water. Come to cabin. I have kettle and stove." The group made the short trek to the guide's cabin, and the cursed individuals returned to their original forms. "Well that wasn't too bad..." Genma started but trailed off as he saw the glares from his two sons. "How can you say that? I WAS A GIRL!!!" Ranma screamed. "I'm just glad it's not permanent." "Ah, Mr. Customer Sir..." The guide then went on to explain fully how the curse worked. Genma soon came flying through the side of the cabin with Goku and Ranma in hot pursuit. And wouldn't you know it, it started to rain. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A 16 year old boy wearing a yellow shirt and and a yellow and black polka dot bandanna and carrying an umbrella stopped to look at his surroundings. "Now where am I?" He asked. He obviously was complelety lost. "Curse you Ranma! I will find you and get my revenge!" Just then he heard the sounds of running. Turning his head, he just managed to spot a panda in time to dodge it from bowling him over. However, he wasn't prepared for the red-haired girl and the martian following closely behind it. They knocked him to the side and continued their pursuit. Ryouga didn't have time to consider why a girl and a martian were chasing a panda as he was too busy falling into one of the springs of Jusenkyo. A small, black piglet wearing the same bandanna as the boy splashed to the surface of the water and swam to the edge. It climbed out of the pool and then paused as if it had just realized something was wrong. Looking down at himself, Ryouga let out a outraged "Bwee!" before breaking down crying. End of Chapter.
