Webmaster's Notes: The MSM-03 Gogg, one of the first mobile suits produced by Zimmad Corporation, was a success primarily because it abandonned the concept of a traditional mobile suit for amphibious combat. Rather than being shaped like a Zaku, the Gogg was stocky, its massive body capable of holding a large generator and ballast tanks to keep the Gogg submerged. Because overheating was not a problem in a mobile suit that found itself being cooled off in the water regularly, the Gogg's generator was capable of powering two mega particle cannons, both mounted on its stomach. On either side of the pair of cannons was a torpedo launcher, capable of attacking ground targets but also the Federation's Himilaya Class aircraft carrier and Diving type GMs. Though expensive to produce and slow on land, the Gogg was increadibly difficult to kill, missiles having almost no affect against its thick torso armor. Meanwhile, its massive clawed hands mounted on long, telescoping arms were capable of inflicting considerable damage in a close combat fight. A launcher mounted in the Gogg's head could fire a net that would surround the mobile suit, protecting it from mines planted in the water, while five hydrojet engines, two large ones mounted on the backpack and a row of three small ones running between the legs, propelled it at an impressive speed through the ocean. Aside from slow land speed, the Gogg's only weakness was the location of its weapons, which made them difficult to aim on land and forced the Gogg to turn upright if it wished to fire torpedos at an enemy ship while submerged.
(Additional notes: It is unknown whether mega particle cannons can operate while submerged. It is unlikely that they can, and even then power would probably be substantially lowered than that inflicted by dry firing.)
