Prologue: Scenes from the last episode of "Gundam Wing"; Zechs destroys the main engine of the space fortress Libra, and disappears; Noin puts a bouquet of flowers on Zechs' "supposed-to-be"grave, and couldn't take the fact that Zechs is... dead?

(Opening music begins)
[A picture of Zechs flashes by and fades away, as Noin suddenly shoots up from bed, as she pulls her
blankets aside, calling out a name; looks around with a bewildered look on her face, as she fingers her
lips, down to the neckline of her nightgown]
You're only just a dream boat, sailing in my head
[Noin gets up from bed, walks toward her window, opens it, as silvery moon beams stream in, creating
gloomy shadows in the dark room]
You swim my secret oceans, of coral blue, and red
[She looks up the moon; the full moon has an icy-blue glow, and whisps of dark clouds drift accross
it]
Your smell is incense burning
[A gentle breeze goes through the room, making the curtains move. Noin closes her eyes as she
sighs]
Your touch is silken yet
[She bows her head down, and wraps her arms around herself]
It reaches through my skin
[A ghostly hand touches her almost bare shoulder]
Moving from within
[The other ghostly hand wraps wround her waist]
And clutches at my breast
[The pair of hands touches Noin's which are near her cleavage]
But it's only when I sleep
[Noin abruptly turns around and sees no one in the empty room]
See you in my dreams
[She reaches out...for nothing]
Got me spinning round and round
[She puts her hands together, her mouth slightly open, and shakes her head]
Turning upside down
[She falls to her knees, and closes her eyes as they fill up with tears]
But I only hear you breathe
[The ghostly figure embraces her shoulders, and whispers in her ear]
Somewhere in my sleep
[Noin smiles, and touches the hand on her shoulder...]
Got me spinning round and round
[... as she exposes her bare neck to the searching lips of the ghost]
Turning upside down
[Noin suddenly opens her eyes,...]
But it's only when I sleep
[... As she looks behind her, just in time to see her lover fade away, and the breeze plays with the
curtains]
And when I wake from slumber, your shadow's disappeared
[The sun shine's through her window, Noin walks towards her bathroom as memories of Zechs and her
flashes through her mind]
Your breath is just a sea mist, surrounding my body
[In her shower, alternating memories and dreams, she thinks about, and smiles]
I'm working through the daytime
[Noin at her desk, has her head in her hands, and frustratingly passes her hand through her hair]
But when it's time to rest
[Noin just had a bath, clad in her bathrobe, enters her dark room]
I'm lying in my bed, listening to my breath
[She lets herself fall on her bed, closes her eyes, and opens them again as she breathes in deeply]
Falling from the edge
[Closes her eyes again, as everything around her fades away, and she falls into darkness]
But it's only when I sleep, see you in my dreams (dreams)
[She falls into someone's arms, and she looks up to her savior]
Got me spinning round and round
[She looks into the limpid, blue pools of ice, curtained by whitish, silvery locks]
Turning upside down
[She traces the features of her lover and pauses at his lips]
But I only hear you breathe, somewhere in my sleep (in my sleep)
[Shot of Noin sleeping, with tears flowing down her face]
Got me spinning round and round
[Back to the dream, Zechs gently kisses Noin on the forehead, as he wraps his arms around her]
Turning upside down, but it's only when I sleep
[Noin puts her head on Zechs' bare chest, and as his lips were nearing her's, she was shaken up by
Duo]
(Music interlude) It's only when I sleep
(Idem) Up to the sky, where angels fly, I'll never die, hawaiian high
[Duo pulls a sleepy Noin to the living room, as his braid trails behind him, where the Wing Boys along with Catherine, Lady Une, and Sally pulled party poppers to celebrate Noin's birthday. The celebrant smiles as her friends hand over their presents, As Wufei lights the candles, and asks to her to wish, Noin goes into a daze, looks out the window, into the blue sky, ignoring her guests as they cheered]
It reaches through my skin
[Images of the previous nights flashes through...]
Moving from within
[...Zechs' hand from behind, goes up her waist...]
And clutches at my breast
[...Up to her cleavage, to her breast]
But it's only when I sleep, see you in my dreams
[Scene change; in a dream: Zechs and Noin share a passionate kiss]
Got me spinning round and round
[Zechs and Noin in bed... with Zechs' kisses trailing down Noin's throat]
Turning upside down, but I only hear you breathe
[Then Zechs' whispers something in Noin's ear, which looks like, "I love you"]
In bed I lie, no need to cry, my sleeping cry, hawaiian high
[Scene change: Noin in her sleep, as a last teardrop falls, she smiles, as she whispers, "I love you too Zechs"]
But it's only when I sleep (Got me spinning round and round, turning upside-down)
[In bed, where both lovers kneeling down, Zechs' chest against Noin's back. As he kisses her cheek, gently bites her ear, flicks his tongue down her neck... down her shoulders...]
Up to the sky, where angels fly (Got me spinning round and round)
I'll never die, hawaiian high (turning upside down)
[... he slips a diamond ring on the fourth finger of Noin's left hand, and whispers, "Will you marry me?",
and Noin answers with a small nod, a smile, and a lingering kiss...]
But it's only when I sleep
(Song fades)
[Noin wakes up, she opens her window to welcome the morning, and something catches her eye... the ring on her finger... she looks puzzled at first... then smiles...]

- The words of the song, "Only When I Sleep" belongs to The Corrs and whoever collaborated with them. Of course, the "Gundam Wing" characters, names, and related indicia belongs to and are copyright of their rightful owners (Bandai, Sunshine, etc.). BUT the songfic and the ideas are MINE and mine alone.
- I had the idea at 10:45 PM, Saturday, May 8th 1999, started writing it at 11, and finished it at 11:55 PM. First edited at 11:00 AM, Sunday, May 9th 1999, and finished at 12:10 NN.
- I hope you like it! I may have been too mushy, but I am a fan of the Zechs-Noin couple. Sorry to those who had the opposite thought, offensed with the vulgarity (Lime, slight Lime, or almost Lemon ^.^;;;).
- All throughout bed, dream, and sleep scenes, just imagine Noin in any sexy nightgown you like (y'know, Victoria's Secret or "Veronica's Closet" type?), and Zechs?... I haven't really thought about it! Just use your vivid imagination! Gomen! ^_^;;;
- Please don't sue! I'm just doing this as a hobby and NOT a money-making scheme! I'm just a nice little girl who wants to make people happy! ^o^
