Hey minna-san. I'm back and ready to go. I've encorperated some of my ideas into the part 2 so you can read! Oh yeah, and this one isn't very graphic so, if you have to, it's okay to read it at school. This part is short, but I'm still thinking of ideas for the third part so stay tuned!

Dark Kisses

Part 2

The sun had risen. The giant golden disk, it's pleasant heat warming the earth but, none of it shone through the windows of the room. Noin woke up, to see him lying on the bed beside her. The candles had long been extinguished but, the fire still offered what warmth and light it could. She glanced over at him again. Pale eyelashes against even paler cheeks. His long hair lay perfect and golden on the linen pillowcase. Perfect, as always. She pushed away from him. He was not who she thought he was. Even before, keeping his real identity from her, but this, this was strange.

What had he done to her last night? It felt like a dream. Noin reached to the base of her neck. A slightly sharp pain seared through the nerves. No, not a dream. Then it was real, as they made love, he had bitten her. Dranken her blood? For what purpose? These questions would have to wait. She didn't want to awaken him. He looked so peaceful, sleeping. The whole situation was too confusing for her to comprehend, instead, Noin donned a large dressing robe and walked down the hallway to find someone to explain this strange life-like dream.

Zechs slowly started to waken. He hated to sleep. The real was more comforting than the twisted dreamworld that he so often sank into when closing his eyes. Where innocents died and the blood flowed like a river. He had not dreamt that night though. Her warm body next to his was comforting, dispelling the demons of his mind away, for at least one night. He remembered. That's why he had awoken, she was gone, and so was the extra robe in the bathroom. Damn, he couldn't have her wandering around a bunch of lustful vampires. She wouldn't last one second without him. Although she was a cunning and courageous women, this was totally different than any enemy she had ever came across.

He wanted to protect her, to keep her by his side forever. That rarely happened with the women he seduced. They were a night's entertainment, a quick fling, but with her he felt content, at peace. She was someone he felt to bestow affection upon. The thought of her being with him forever was appealing, though he didn't know if she could handle it mentally. Immortality was a long time. He thought she would be able to withstand it though, everything she had gone through, the attack at Lake Victoria, and even his supposed 'death' which he was sure had devastated her.

Yes, his death. The explosion of Libra had been a cruel act towards her. He remembered when Treize had visited him in the medical unit how he said the only way to survive was to become like him. He had been confused a first, Treize had told him his story. He had once been a high ranking officer in the army of Alexander the Great, although becoming sick with the politics of the country had left with his own men, only to be defeated by the Turks. He had survived serious wounds to the chest and head after his master had taken him over. Treize thought that if he was strong enough, he would be able to survive. Almost as soon as Treize had given him some of his own blood, he could feel his body start to heal. Flesh mending and bones connecting again. But, if it was a mistake, he didn't know if he could live with the thought of being the one to make her go insane.

He would reflect on it later, first, he had to make sure she was safe.

Noin wandered through the large house. She gazed at the surroundings as she passed them. The hall was decorated with gold, tan, cream and white colours. The trimming of the roof was painted gold and the doors of the room were made of oak. The carpet was a dark red, almost a burgundy, it complemented, nicely, the gold. Gauze curtains hung from small gold rings that draped the cloth artfully over the huge bay windows, which were unfortunately, covered with a heavy curtain the same colour as the carpet. Scones held waxy candles that never seemed to burn out and in every large sitting room there was a fireplace of marble with a gold gilded mirror over it.

The room was too dark. She could make out shapes in the far corner, probably furniture or decor. There was a small sitting bench in front of the window. Noin slowly parted the thick cloth of the curtain. Sunlight poured onto the floor, it reflected off the mirror above the fire place. It seemed the whole room came alive with sunlight and the feeling of life only continued outside on the opposite of the window. A large garden spread out before her, neatly trimmed and containing every flower she had ever seen. In the garden's center was a beautiful fountain. A nymphet pouring water from a large jug. There was a large section of roses off to the right. She would have to go down to this garden sometime. Roses were her favourite.

"If you don't mind..." the curtains shut so fast she didn't even see who closed them. The candles flickered and Noin gasped and backed away from the window. The hand that had so quickly closed the curtains grasped hers. "You love the roses too, do you not?" a smooth voice belonging to the one who held her hand asked. Noin continued to back away but the strong grip of her captor kept her in place. He emerged from the shadows. She stared in awe at a face that seemed to be carved from marble itself. High, aristocratic eyebrows arched gracefully over startling blue eyes. "Hmm..." he gave her a smile that held no warmth, "You're the one he must have picked..." Noin looked at him confused. 'Who had picked? Milliardo?'

He looked her over again. "Not someone I would have picked, but I do admit, he does have good taste." An angry blush covered Noin's cheeks. 'He's making me seem like a whore! How dare he?!' "Let go of me!" Noin said, prying her hand from his firm grip. She couldn't get it free. He held her in place with only his hand. She couldn't get away. He drew nearer..."Yes, very good taste..."

His face lowered to her neck. Noin's eyes opened wide. He was going to bite her, but this time, there would be not blood left after. She struggled in his grasp, trying to get away to no avail. He caught both of her hands in his and let his other hand softly caress her side. She could feel his hot breath breeze past her ear. Noin squeezed her eyes shut as his teeth pierced through the thin skin of her jugular. His hand came up to cup her breasts lightly. She continued to struggle. It wasn't like the last time! It was a carnal, raw thing but, deep inside of her, she got a thrill of Milliardo biting her, the pain and pleasure mixing as one. This wasn't like it at all. The only thing she could feel was the soft suction of his mouth. It hurt, the pain clouded her senses. In one lasts desperate attempt, she cried out for help.

No one came.

Authors Notes: Oooo...what's going to happen to Noin?! Will she die? Will Zechs help her? Will he make her like him to save her life? Find out next time! ^_^!
