Hi guys.  Man, I know you're all probably thinking I passed away.  Although this page may have, I certainly didn't. Sorry about being MIA for a little while, but I got all wrapped up in MGS2.  So I've been hanging out with the guys on my Metal Gear Solid page.  Sorry about that.  And there's nothing really yaoi or beshounen about Metal Gear Solid.  Just shooting and killing, not really much else.

Plus I told you before, my free domain thing died, when I was going to tell the anipike about it, their server died too.  In fact their server was down for three weeks or maybe a little more.  Now that they're fixed I told them what was wrong with the Wonderland link and hopefully they'll fix it soon, cause I don't think this page is getting any hits anymore.

Then, there was a scare with excite.  Excite was supposedly having financial problems and they filed for bankruptcy, so I had to get a totally new e-mail provider.  Then it turns out that they aren't going to shut down after all, but I did manage to get a new e-mail address which this is what I'm using from now on:  endsofworld@lycos.com in case anyone wants to contact me.

Then lastly, besides school doing permanent damage to tender brain cells, I came to a sad revelation.  Which is going to offend some people, but this is what happened.

After being horribly disappointed in what was supposed to be a really good convention, I discovered that my love of yaoi had diminished somewhat because of Yaoicon.  You see, I really like original yaoi stuff.  Stuff like Ai No Kusabi, Boku No Sexual Harassment, Song of the Wind and Trees....  Even stuff like Chi-Ran's and other yaoi mangaka's manga.  But after going to Yaoicon, all it was was Gundamfanficdoujincon.  I don't wanna step on the toes of any Gundam fans, but really Gundam ain't for everyone.  And I'm tired of the whole 1 x 2 x 3 x 9 x 1,000,000,000 thing.  It's so bad that you can hardly have a sensible conversation with yaoi fan without hearing the whole Duo x Quatre debate.  But I'm not just ragging on Gundam, it's the same for Kenshin, Fushigi Yuugi, Final Fantasy, and Dragonball.  There is more to yaoi then just these five things.  And it's like one girl said while I was there, "Why does Kenshin HAVE to be gay?"  Just because he can be feminine, doesn't me he has to be automatically uke.  Why can't he love Kaoru?  If Kaoru was a guy everyone would think their love was so cute, but the moment there's a girl in the mix, "I hate that bitch!"  are the first words out of someone's mouth.

Actually that's why my best friend didn't stay until the end of Yami No Matsui, because there was an episode where this girl was dying and all the girls were screaming for her to die.  Just because he's gay doesn't mean he can't show any feelings for a girl.  So I take it, if you were sick and dying in the street and a guy who happened to be gay was trying to help you, I should root for you to go because he has a guy waiting at home?  Stupid!

So, guys, I don't know.  I'll still collect my Chi-Ran manga and my Slave and Master comics for girl.  Also, I worked very hard on the reviews for the Yaoi animes, plus I like handing out the mysterious pic, so the Wonderland will stay, but I don't think there's much more I can say or do with yaoi on a personal level.
