This is an Arjai - an alien creature I created
while making a study of the female figure. I don't know what sex it
is, and I haven't worked out where it's from yet, but it looked good
enough to earn a place on my site.
It is riding a futuristic scooter of some sort (again, I didn't put much thought into this pic). However, it is predominantly a marine creature, and the growths on its shoulders are for swimming rather than flying, This pic was drawn with a 0.5 pacer (my art teacher insists you shouldn't use pacers, but what does she know?) and a mechanical eraser. The Arjai was coloured using various shades of watercolour pencil. The background was created using black fill for the space, charcoal airbrush as an outline, and white airbrush spots of varying size for the stars (all with Adobe Photoshop 5.5). |
