Jessie (Musashi) is basically the toughest of the team, which is ironic since James (Kojiro) is presented as a wimp, of sorts. She is always the brave one with a plan, and she seems to help Kojiro pull it together in a tight situation (although this can mean hitting or yelling at him). Despite multiple failures trying to capture Pikachu, Musashi is not one to just give up. Not only is she somewhat brave and determined, she is also bossy, and at times a tyrant. After all, she is evil! She can always find a weapon to use on Kojiro and Meowth (Nyasu) when she's angry, usually a large paper fan or a mallet. Of course both her partner and her Pokémon know that she is not one to cross. Her fatal flaw: She has a notoriously bad habit of being careless and underestimating her enemies, as well as doing whatever it takes to get a sense of self-worth.

Musashi is beautiful and, naturally, aware of that fact. She is obsessed with her own face, and can get very angry if it is scratched or marked. "How dare you touch my face?" She wears a different uniform than the ones you usually see on the other Rockets. While most Rocket Gang members dress in black, she wears wears a short white top with a slit up the middle, and it has a big red R on it, of course. This is accompanied with a slightly longer black undershirt and a tight white mini-skirt. Her bright red hair is normally done out to the side.

Speaking of style, Musashi does everything with it. She won't do anything that will make her look idiotic, and she constantly criticizes other people's fashion sense.

Musashi's mean and unforgiving side is probably due to the loss of her mother, Miyamoto, at an early age. She used to live in the mountains, and her main source of food was...well...snow. Her mother would prepare the snow to look like normal food, which would make little Musashi very, very happy. ^_^; It is also known that when Musashi's mother went out on a mission, she always carried a picture of her daughter. When Miyamoto was sent by Madame Boss (Giovanni's mother, *cough*) into the Andes to find a Mew, there was a huge avalanche and she was never heard from again.

At the Girl's Day Festival (which was FINALLY dubbed) she battles Kasumi to get a set of dolls she wanted as a child and couldn't afford to have. Misty (Kasumi) ends up winning them. We are left to assume that left/ran away from home at an early age, probably younger than Kojiro was.

Musashi loves Pokemon dearly, as do the other members of her group, and she owns two herself. She owns an Arbo(Ekans) who evolved into Arbok because she asked it to, and she caught a Beroringa(Lickitung) at the girl's day festival! This is the Pokemon she battled Kasumi with in that same episode. Musashi also caught a Shellder once, but lost it as it grabbed onto that weird Professor's Slowpoke and evolved.

Musashi doesn't seem to trust men at all (Except maybe Kojiro), and this is briefly shown in a flashback of her being rejected many times. As far as why she doesn't trust them, it remains a mystery.

Even though she tends to act bossy and selfish, Musashi has a soft side for her partner which is not seen very often. Every time she and Kojiro think they're going to die, they both get all mushy with each other. Notice I said BOTH. At the end of Holy Matrimony she gets upset when she doesn't think she will be seeing Kojiro again. This says that she needs him more than she wants to admit. So, underneath her "tough guy" act, the real Musashi does exist silently and mysteriously. As she once said, "Beautiful things can be painful".

In Japan, Musashi is voiced by Megumi Hayashibara. In the USA, Musashi is voiced by Rachel Lillis.
