Anime
Anime is what Japaneses Animations/Cartoons are commonly called between fans. There are lots and lots of different companies that make animes and each company makes lots of different kinds of animes. On the whole, there must be at least 100 animes in the world. Each anime has its unique characteristics and each one is as enjoyable as the next.
There are many different catagories that animes can be classified in and each person catagories them differently. Some of them are dark, violent, cute....
Most animes orginated in mangas (the comic book versions), THere are the rare ones like Pokemon which started with the anime, then the manga. THere are still lots of manga that are waiting to become animes.
Some animes are very popular and a big success (like Dragonball, it had been around for approx. 15 years and it is still very popular). Some are just not as lucky.
