"Oh nice!" Eros said looking at the sunset. Lucemon however, was stealing mangoes from his bag.

Ream grinned at Aya, and hugged her shoulders.

"Your friends are right, it'll be dark soon and it'll only take us a few minutes to get to the base of infinity mountain. C'mon, all." And he started out again.

Kae hesitated, looking up at the setting sun.

"Kae?" Isamon asked, turning and seeing that she wasn't following. Kae gave her Partner an apologetic grin.

"Sorry, Isa, I'm coming!" And she followed after the others.

They did make it to the base of the mountain by nightfall, and after a brief dinner (most of them weren't too hungry due to the snack they'd had), they found a cave, posted a watch that would shift every two hours, and went to bed.

Aya yawned and her hands stretched out as the new day began, "Good mooooooooooooorning!"

Takashi yawned slightly as he woke up next. He stood up slightly and nudged his digimon awake. "Come on sleepy head. Wake up!"

Ishimon rose slightly, yawning as his partner was. "Sure sure.. ." He swung from side to side as he approached the center. Takashi walked along side, making sure that he didn't trip over anything. Pulling out his back pack, he picked up a fruit and started eating that for breakfast.

Aya got up, and saw Tamagomon, sitting under a tree. She raised an eyebrow, slowly walking to him.

"WAKE UPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!"

She kicked him. Tamagomon's eyes snapped open, "Ow! Ow! Ow! Yes, I'm up!"

"Good," said Aya smugly.

She looked as Takashi started to eat.

"FOOD!!!"

She practically dived onto Takashi, missing by just a bit.

Takashi jumped back slightly. "Geez! You could've just asked like a NORMAL person!" He grumbled as he opened up the bag for her to get food.

Ishimon coughed slightly to himself. With a soft murmur, he said, "She's normal? I must've missed that info."

Takashi heard the comment and chuckled slightly. "Got a point there. ." He smirked.

Aya glared at him, but then nodded, grabbing some fruit out of the bag, "Exactly. I'm not normal. I'm better than normal...!" She smiled, got up, walking away to eat her fruitishness in peace.

Tova woke up shortly after that and braided her hair back into pigtails. She shook Psychemon awake but jumped back when he stood with all his claws out and snarled, "MANGO!!!"

"Okay, okay, mango," she replied with a bit of a yawn. "When Eros wakes up, we'll ask him for a mango and maybe if he's forgiven you for trying to kill him, he'll let you have one."

Eros woke up and shook Lucemon awake. They approached the others.

"GOOD MOOOOORNIIING!!!" Eros said in a sing song manner. Seeing Psychemon roam around, he placed a pile of mangoes and backed away towards Aya and Takashi.

Psychemon nearly fell over himself while trying to get to his beloved mangos. Tova quickly followed Eros away from her rabid partner.

"He's like a shark in a feeding frenzy," she said, cringing as Psychemon carved one mango into a crude person and bit its head off. "I'm not going near him again for a while."

Aya just kept eating the fruits she picked out of Takashi's basket, completely ignoring the conversations around her.

"Mmm... mmm good!"

She suddenly screamed, "AHHHHHH!!! I FORGOT!!!" She got up and hid a couples metres away behind a tree.

Tamagomon sighed, "Forgot to do her half-an-hour make-up routine..."

Seto still sat pondering all that was happening.

Auroramon grew impatient, "Seto, just get used to it. It's been a while now. You should have considered things already."

Hannah and Fukimon went and sat themselves down between Eros and Aya, grabbing some food.

Fukimon turned to Eros and said, "You know, sunrises are even more pretty than sunsets."

Hannah mumbled something about 'sun on the brain'.

Eros turned to everyone.

"So...what's up for today?" he asked.

Seto still wasn't hungry. Auroramon ate like no tomorrow though.

"You know, it seems like all you do is eat and sleep."

Auroramon spoke through a full mouth, "And fight! Grrr!"

Aya shrugged, "I don't know... ask the leader." She looked at Kae.

Kae shrugged.

"Let's climb the mountain." She suggested, then looked around at the others, questioning their opinions on the mission.

"The mountain it is," she said, packing up her stuff, "More hiking! YAY!"

"I'm fine with that," said Hannah, picking up her backpack.

"Yeah, I'm up for that, too," Seto had nothing else to add.

Takashi smirked. It was still morning and he HAD an actual good mood. That just helped him as he decided to go against Kae's decision. "Do we REALLY have to climb this mountain? If we're GOING to face an evil digimon, I'd rather we stay on solid ground. It'd be MUCH preferable as so we do not FALL OF THE MOUNTAIN." He crossed his arms. "I don't know WHY you'd even want to go up that thing but I know I'm definitely staying right here on the ground."

Ishimon sweatdropped. Could Kae and Takashi just get through ONE day without fighting? The digimon sighed and slumped his shoulders. Maybe someday he'd suggest that to the two. It might make things so much more tolerable!

"Are they gonna fight again? ARGH" thought Juuso.

"I'm okay with the climbing.." added Juuso quickly.

Kae scowled at Takashi.

"What, are you afraid of heights, or something? If you're scared, you're perfectly welcome to stay here until we beat the baddy up there and come back." She sneered. "There is a baddy up there... right?" She asked Ream hopefully.

The digimon nodded.

"Yeah. I'm not quite sure what it is, but it's bad, and it's recking the peace of our island."

Kae turned back to Takashi, smirking triumphantly. Isamon sweatdropped.

Takashi chuckled slightly. "I'm not afraid of heights. I just think that if we MIGHT have our asses kicked. We might as well be on solid ground. Cuz you remember. . . That IS a mountain and if by any chance any of us are about to fall off, we might not be able to catch them." He said, with his arms crossed. "I don't know about you, but I'm not willing to risk it."

"I'm with Kae on this one," Hannah said, "If there's a baddie up there, we're not gonna beat him by standing around! And, well, correct me if I'm wrong, but beating the bad guys is our job, right?"

"Climbing's all right with me," Tova said quietly. Her opinion wasn't going to be very useful, but she figured that she might as well say it anyway.

As she watched Kae and Takashi fight, she just wanted to smack them both. We're never going to get anywhere at this rate! Gahhh! Clenching her hands, Tova walked away quietly and started up the mountain with Psychemon at her heels.

Hannah ran after Tova, calling, "Tova! TOVA! WAIT!" Fukimon, of course, followed.

She caught up with her friend and turned to face her, panting a little.

"We shouldn't go without the rest of the group," she pointed out, "What if someone attacks and we're all split up? I have a feeling that to save the digiworld we need to stay a team," she paused, unsure of what to say next, "I want to hurry up and climb too, but I don't like the idea of just one or two people go, or if everyone but Takashi stays on the ground."

Takashi shook his head. He hadn't really expected ANYONE to agree with him. "You know what, you guys can just go RIGHT ahead." he said as he turned on his heel and walked back the way they came. "Since my opinion just doesn't ever seem to count, I might as well not be here."

Ishimon blinked in confusion but followed behind his partner. "Takashi. . .are you sure you want to do this?" His partner nodded and just walked off.

Kae shrugged.

"Fine! See if we care! No one'll miss you!" She snapped, and, with that, whirled and started after Tova. Isamon rolled his eyes.

"Humans." With that, the Digimon followed after his Partner.

Ream blinked, smirked now that his only possible competition for Aya was gone, and put his arm around Aya's shoulder.

"Well, let's go, Aya-chan!" He said cheerfully, leading Aya after the others.

"I'm not going unless we're all together." Hannah said, stubbornly. She sat down on a random rock and stayed there, refusing to budge.

"I'm not going anywhere if the team has to be separated over it!"

Aya leaned against a tree, her arms crossed under her breast. She had an annoyed look on her face, and she blew away the hair on her face. She sighed, and sat down under the shade of the tree.

"This is gonna take quite long..." she grumbled, "Really, Takashi never seemed so excited about saving this Digiworld anyways, so I don't see the point in bringing him with us." She shot him a glare, "Let's just leave him."

Tamagomon frowned, "NO! You shall NOT separate! We summoned ALL OF YOU to save this world, so you SHALL save this world TOGETHER!"

Aya coughed, brushing back her hair, "Whatever."

"Well, since Takashi can't fight evil, him being human, why don't we bring Ishimon along instead? And his metal plus sign shaped thingy?" Eros asked.

Tova crossed her arms and sighed, but went over to sit by Hannah. "Fine, fine. Let's wait for everyone to stop being so childish."

"Right behind ya, Ream," said Aya with a cheerful smile. She quickly got up and followed Ream.

"HEY! AYA!!!!" shouted Tamagomon.

Aya turned towards him, extremely annoyed, "If you want to stay with Takashi, you're free to stay."

Tamagomon coughed loudly and sweatdropped at the idea,

"Fine..."

"But don't interfere in OUR relationship!" she said, glomping Ream's arm again.

"...Wouldn't dare to," said Tamagomon, while thinking, 'What a weird girl...'

"I guess I'll go along with Kae, Aya and Ream. Kae is our 'leader' Ream guides us along, and Aya is my gal pal!"

Takashi at this point had already left. He was absolutely aggravated that they thought he didn't care about the Digiworld. Turning to Ishimon, he asked, "Are there any other places that need aid in?"

Ishimon shook his head. "I honestly have no clue. . . I thought we might have been able to had help over at the mountain. But I guess we'll just try our best to deal with bad here."

Takashi nodded. "So. . . let's go." And the two walked off to who knows where. Their dot drifting farther and farther away from the group they had been with.

Eros turned to watch Takashi leave.

"Wait! Do you even know where you will go? How will you survive without food and water? You don't even have any back up to help you! Reconsider!"

Takashi turned around ONE last time to see Eros in the far distance. With a chuckle he answered, holding up his bag. "If I recall, I have the food so I believe I'll last just fine." Then he turned back to the path he was walking and smiled at Ishimon. "You'll protect me, right?"

The digimon nodded and smiled back. "Forever Takashi. I'll protect you forever."

Aya looked back at Takashi, not saying anything. She felt kind of bad of leaving him behind like that... and a bit because of the words she said.

"Hey Takashi," yelled Aya after him, "We'll meet back up later, right?"

Takashi gave a chuckle and turned to smile at Aya. "I'll make sure of it!" He yelled back, trying to keep himself from grinning too much.

Ishimon smiled and waved back at all the digimon. Then they FINALLY disappeared from sight.

Aya nodded, and waved after him. She sighed, then turned back to Ream, Kae, and the others, "Let's go then, shall we?"

Tova drew her knees up to her chin, trying to make herself as small as possible. "I'm not going." She rested her forehead on her knees, wishing that everyone could just...get along or something.

Seto and Auroramon watched the talking but really didn't want to make any more inputs.

"Yep," Seto said standing by someone. He didn't really pay attention because he was in a sort of dreamy state after chugging all that hot sauce. "Clouds..."

"Well, now that we are all muddled up, I think it is good for a rest, that mountain looks pretty high!"

A digimon walked along the path in the forest. He had been looking around, trying to find something to do. Lately life had been boring so he needed to add in a little SPICE. The digimon used his staff, which had a sun at the top, as a walking stick. Not that he needed it but it made him look weak, which might provide him some aid. His purple cape, which was fastened at the neck, covered both his mouth and nose leaving only a small area for the eyes. Even though that was somewhat covered with the purple hat with a skull in the middle he had on his head. He chuckled as he caught view of a certain male and his digimon in the distance. He tugged on his brown gloves and his brown boots with a picture of a moon on it, just to make sure it wasn't loose. He dusted away anything on his yellow and red clothing and made his way towards the pair. "Let the games begin." He gave a smirk.

Takashi sighed as he trudged along the path. "Christ. It's like not even ONE digimon resides here! We've been walking along this area for ages and we haven't seen even ONE view of life."

Ishimon shrugged. "Maybe they just are afraid?"

"Of us?"

"Er. . . Maybe?" The digimon sweatdropped as he walked forward.

"Excuse me!" The mysterious digimon called out.

Takashi took one look at the digimon who was the same height as Ishimon and looked at him suspiciously. "Who are you?"

He gave a bright kind smile. "I'm sorry. I don't mean to disturb you." He bowed slightly. "My name is . . . Wizardmon. And I saw you walking around. You're a digidestined, correct?"

Ishimon didn't really like the look of the digimon but since he HAD introduced himself. They couldn't be rude now could they? "I'm Ishimon and this is my partner Takashi. We have been walking around here. . . Do you know where we are?"

Wizardmon nodded. "This forest is the midpoint between Infinity Mountain and the shore. I was wondering if you'd like some company. It's been quite fearful here with all the threats of monsters about."

Takashi snorted slightly as he looked around the forest. He didn't trust Wizardmon but just like Ishimon, he wouldn't just say it out. "Sure. You can come with us but I don't think that it might be a good idea."

Wizardmon just smiled. "I believe that it'll be just fine." He could barely hold back the twinkle in his eyes. He sure would have a lot of fun with this Digidestined.

Aya sighed, and sat down, tapping her foot against a tree in front of her, "So what are we doing?! We'll all separating!" She looked at Tova, "Tova, Takashi's already gone. We can't go after him now. Anyways, we all met up from different places before... I have a feeling it'll happen again!" She sighed, "So... will we leave or NOT?"

"I think we should go after him," Tova replied, frowning angrily. "It'd be horrible just to leave him there. I don't see why we couldn't."

Aya sighed, "I think so too... but... Takashi's so far away already... will we be able to catch up with him? And what about what's on top of Infinity Mountain?"

"Yeah, let's go!" Seto decided to pipe up to this favorable choice, "We should always stick together so we can watch eachother's backs."

"Well lets at least do something! I don't care what, but we can't accomplish much by sitting around."

Aya, meanwhile, silently waited for Kae, the leader, to go on HER SIDE.

Kae frowned thoughtfully.

"But he's already far gone, and he walks faster than most of us," She pointed out to those who would look for Takashi. "Besides, Ishimon's with him, and he said he'd meet us when we came back down the mountain. Are you doubting his Digimon? Doubting his word?" She asked, cocking her head and pouting her lower lip, the look she used whenever she was trying to get her own way. Isamon grinned sheepishly, and shrugged. He didn't want to get involved in this.

"I agree, let's carry on. Who knows how much time we have," Ream pointed out, eager to leave Takashi behind but being careful not to show it.

"Whatever," said Eros. He started climbing up the mountain, Lucemon flying up beside.

Aya sighed in relief, then turned to Tamagomon, "Ya need to climb on my back, Tama-mon?"

Tamagomon sweatdropped, "Yes master."

"..."

Tamagomon jumped on Aya's back, and she began climbing.

Takashi walked silently with Ishimon beside him. Their new companion, Wizardmon, walked in FRONT of them, supposedly since they didn't trust him. They had been walking for quite a while and as Takashi noticed, they were heading towards the place where he had just left. Infinity Mountain. "Hey Ishimon. . .Do you trust him?" He asked softly to his digimon.

Ishimon gave a small snort. "I trust him as far as I can shoot a 'Earth Flames'."

Takashi sweatdropped. "Nice example."

"Thank you." His digimon said back politely.

Wizardmon walked ahead, listening carefully to the conversation behind him. It was JUST his luck. Getting the digidestined that seemed to be wary of him. But that was, he guessed, just part of the fun. After all, what's a little challenge?

Suddenly a lone Gazimon crossed their paths. Immediately all three caught sight of it as it caught sight of them. With a gasp, it stared at Wizardmon and looked at Takashi then back at Wizardmon. Pointing with its finger shaking, it exclaimed. "You! You're with Dev. . ." Unfortunately for this digimon's life, it was hit by a digimon's attack.

"Thunder ball!"

Takashi turned to see Wizardmon pointing his staff at the digimon and in the spot of the digimon was emptiness. "Wh-What was that?!" He exclaimed, angry at Wizardmon.

Wizardmon put his staff back down and smiled at Takashi, not that he could SEE it. "I believed that he was about to harm you. I acted quickly to save you."

Takashi blinked a couple of times. "Oh. . ." Maybe Wizardmon wasn't as bad as he first thought it to be.

Ishimon stared at Wizardmon suspiously. That digimon was going to say something and he just couldn't figure it out. He wouldn't back down from Wizardmon. He WOULD figure out this digimon's identity or his name wasn't ISHIMON!

"I guess I'm ready to climb with these new shoes," said Seto, smiling. Suddenly he felt like he was being lifted into the air and looking down, he found that he was.

"Rainbow light!" piped Auroramon, clawing his own way up the mountain.

"Well..." Hannah thought, "I guess you're right. Come on, Fukimon." And they started on the long mountain climb.

"Better get going then." said Juuso and started the climbing with Wormmon.

Tova was silent as she started to climb. I wish Takashi was here, she thought.

Aya kept climbing, but getting very annoyed of having Tamagomon on her back.

"D'ya HAVE to go on my back?"

"Well, yes. I wasn't made for climbing mountains, and you might need me if an evil Digimon pops up."

"True, true... but make yourself lighter!"

"How am I supposed to do that?!"

"You figure it out!"

"..."

Lucemon flew high up and perched himself on a rock.

"Hehe! I beat all of you!"

"We were not racing, get your dernier down here!" Eros ordered.

Takashi, Ishimon, and Wizardmon had decided to stop at a lake in the forest. The liability of finding the lake had been quite slim but it WAS the Digital world and stranger things have happened. Takashi had started to fix up the dinner for himself and Ishimon while Wizardmon wandered out into the forest. Ishimon, who was STILL suspicious of him, followed behind.

Wizardmon took a look around as he approached a lone tree stub. Looking around one last time, he pressed a button on the stub and started talking. "Wizardmon here, my lord. I have just joined up with one digidestined whom goes by the name Takashi and his digimon Ishimon. Although they do not seem to trust me just yet, I think that Takashi has already taken a turn and started however I still have to work on Ishimon. My plans, my lord, are that of secrecy. I will meet you later with the Digidestined at hand." With that, he pressed another button and nodded as he saw a bright light leave the stem and head towards the top of Infinity Mountain. He took one more look around before walking back to the site.

Ishimon collapsed behind a tree. "It can't. . be. . . He's working for someone else.. ." He muttered. He stood up lazily and started to walk back. Unfortunately he only made it a step further before he fell to the ground from a hit to the head.

Wizardmon sighed as he stood before Ishimon. "You're going to ruin all my plans if you go and tell your digidestined. How about you just stay unconcious for a while and I'll lure your digidestined in?" He gave Ishimon a smile and started dragging the dog digimon over to Takashi.

Aya just kept whining, as they kept climbing up, "How much HIGHER?! The heights are starting to get to my head."

When the group reached about half-way up the mountain, Kae called a break. Sure, everyone was tired, and hungry, and thirsty, but that isn't why she stopped. She stopped because the view was so pretty!

"Ooooooo!" She looked down at the miles of trees stretching out before her, and then the ocean. To the west were some more mountains and cliffs and rivers (undoubtedly where they started), and to the east were deserts, including a few ice deserts. She was leaning over the cliff so much that she would've fallen off if Isamon hadn't grabbed a hold of her t-shirt to pull her back.

Aya stared at the sight, panting. "Man, I felt like we've been climbing for years!" she said with a sigh, "This site sure is relaxing though." Tamagomon sat beside her, and sighed... It was too calm without Takashi. TOO CALM!

Tova looked out across all the land. It was absolutely gorgeous. The desert that appeared to be made completely of ice was so cool and appealing at this point.

"Lookie, Psychemon," she said, pointing out at it. "Isn't it pretty out there? I like how white it is. So beautiful and perfect."

Psychemon yawned and lifted his head a bit. "Yep, pretty. Can I have a mango?"

"I don't know. Go ask Eros," Tova replied absently, staring at the ice far below.

Psychemon groaned, but he somehow managed to drag himself over to Eros. "Maaaaannnggoooo?"

"Wow... so hot..." she said, brushing back her hair, staring at the sunset Tova had pointed at, "Quite a sight this is!"

Tamagomon shrugged. He really had nothing to say.

Takashi turned around numerous times. Ishimon hadn't come back from his "walk" and neither had Wizardmon for that matter. He was starting to get WORRIED which he didn't like. Sighing, he turned his head again one last time with much luck this time for he saw Wizardmon walking back alone. "Wizardmon? Have you seen Ishimon?"

The magical digimon was slightly limping. "We. . . WE were attacked! Ishimon's back there. . . I was able to hold off the digimon but. . Ishimon got knocked out. I'm not sure how he is right now. . ."

Takashi stood up in shock. "WHAT?!" He exclaimed, racing towards Ishimon's direction. "H. . How could this happen?" He said in exasperation. He hadn't heard any noises or any hint of attacks and now Wizardmon tells him this? He looked around and found his digimon sitting against a tree, his head hanging down. "Ishimon!" Taking the digimon into his arms, he looked around for any wounds on the digimon.

Wizardmon limped up to Takashi. "I'm sorry Takashi. . . I tried my best to protect him." He said with a soft voice. "I should. . . Should leave. . . I don't think that me staying is helping much."

Takashi shook his head. "With Ishimon knocked out, I think that you staying with me would be helpful. I will need some protection."

Wizardmon nodded. "If. . . If you say so Takashi." He bowed slightly in respect. In his mind, he thought. 'I might have to speed this up. . . With Ishimon knowing my secret, I'll have to bring Takashi to my master even sooner. . .'

"You want a mango, here, take two." Eros said.

Seto had the opposite response as everyone else. "Nothing new," he said, trotting along.

Dreammon leaned lazily against the mountain side, arms crossed, sending a rather flirtacious grin and a wink at Aya. So, basically, Ream was being normal.

"We should move on soon," He pointed out, glancing at the others.

"Not yet!" Kae whined, still admiring the view. She looked back at Ream briefly, then turned back to admiring the view. "Ooooo... pretty..." Isamon blinked at his Partner.

Aya smiled gently at Ream, still staring at the sunset.

She sighed, "Wow, we're sure taking our time, aren't we?" She got up and brushed back some of her hair.

Tamagomon didn't really know what would happen next. They hadn't been told all this would happen!

"Strange..." he muttered.
