Hannah picked up a computer and opened it. "It connects to this page!" she told the others, pointing at the screen, "Digi-net, huh?" She heard a noise from behind her, and both she and Fukimon spun around to see Garurumon attacking the others.
"Everyone, get to a safe distance!" Fukimon yelled, "Ribbon whip!" she attacked Garurumon.
All the commotion caused a large tile from the ceiling to come down on the garurumon. "That might not hold him for long!" shouted Seto, "Let's see where that door goes." He pointed to the closest door.
Eros flipped out his digivice and saw Garurumon's stats. "Kae! He can shoot ice at you! Be careful!" Eros shouted from across the room. "If Kae doesn't escape, she will become a popsicle!"
Lucemon fluttered over and tugged on Kae, prying her out of Garurumon's paws.
Tova followed everyone to that big Garurumon. "Wow. What's that, Psychemon?" she whispered.
"A Garurumon. Weren't you paying attention?"
"Oh...no. Sorry?"
"It's all right." He sighed. "Look, just get out of the way before you get hurt, okay, Tova?"
"Okay." Tova's blue eyes looked rather blank as she calmly walked out of the Garurumon's range. She didn't appear to be paying attention to anything or anyone; she sat in the corner quietly, letting the scene play out before her.
Kae gratefully held tight to Lucemon. She had been scared out of her wits, and not thinking straight.
"Thanks," She said to Lucemon, before calling out to her own Partner. "ISAMON! Get in there and DO SOMETHING!" Isamon, nodding, jumped into battle.
"Isamon digivolve to... Rienmon!" Rienmon appeared, sword in hand, face set determindly for battle -- oops, never mind, Garurumon seems to have recovered from that tile hitting him, and is now pinning Rienmon to the floor, sending Rienmon's sword flying into the wall. Nevermind. "Uh... help?" The humanoid champion called hopefully to the rookies.
Takashi looked at Ishimon. "You help out too!" He told in a commanding type of voice.
Ishimon nodded. "Ishimon digivolve to. . . Kiganomon!" He attacked the Garurumon, releasing his hold on Garurumon. Turning around to face the group, he shouted. "We might still need more help!"
Rienmon, flashing a grateful grin at Kiganomon, rushed over to where his sword was, and began trying to pull it out of the wall, with very little progress. It was stuck fast. So, Rienmon was stuck by the wall, trying to pull out his sword.
Garurumon scowled angrily at Kiganomon, and pounced on him, digging his teeth into Kiganomon's neck.
"Tova?" Psychemon asked. "Do you want me to digivolve, too?"
"Umm...okay. Go ahead, Psychemon," replied Tova distantly.
"All right then. Psychemon digivolve to...Lynxmon! ...Tova? I just digivolved. Aren't you paying attention?"
"...Yes. I'm paying attention, Psychemon." Tova didn't really look at anything. What a horrible monst--Garurumon, she corrected herself. I don't like this at all.
Despite her feelings, she stood up and encouraged Lynxmon. "Go, Lynxmon! Kick some butt!"
Kiganomon choked as he felt the teeth seep into his skin. "A. . . Little.. Help. . Here. . " He muttered slowly and painfully.
Takashi looked at Lynxmon. "Help him!!! Please!!" He begged, not wanting his only protection to be harmed. But not ONLY his protection. . But his first friend.
"It takes three of them to digivolve and the over grown wolf still is winning?" Eros said.
"Oh well...I guess we just have to watch!" Lucemon replied.
"Dang it! We should have escaped when we had the chance," said Seto, "Auroramon go heal Kiganomon. I can take out the big bad wolf. I know Kerala, it's an ancient fighting art."
"Seto, your crazy. Just let Lynxmon and the other champions handle it."
"I can only watch for so long," said Seto, "digimon's lives are just as valuable as humans."
"RIBBON WHIP!!!" Fukimon attacked the Garurumon, then ran back a bit, "RIBBON WHIP!!!"
"Fukimon, I don't think that was such a good idea..."
Garurumon, after the first Ribbon Whip, quickly used his hold on Kiganomon to pull him up and use him as a shield, so he'd take the hit instead of Garurumon. Then, he threw Kiganomon to the side - right towards Seto and Auroramon.
And Rienmon was still trying to get his sword out of the wall. Kae was trying to help, now, but as the sword was above where she could reach, she couldn't do much more than stand next to Rienmon, urging the champion on.
Lynxmon ran quietly, trying to make sure Garurumon didn't notice him. When he was looking at Garurumon's back, he yelled.
"Thermal Mane!"
When the light that came from around his neck--These attacks were weird, Tova mused--the Garurumon turned to look at him angrily.
"Oops."
Takashi's eyes widen. "No. . . Kiganomon!" He yelled, rushing towards the spot Garurumon had thrown him at. "Are you okay?"
Kiganomon nodded, slowly but surely. "I'm. . . Fine." he managed to choke out.
Takashi turned to see Aururamon. "You. .. You can heal! Please. . Heal my digimon." He begged, acting way out of his character now.
Aya kneeled down to the ground, unable to do anything.
"No... So much pain... I can't stand it!"
Tamagomon went beside her, "Aya... this is how the Digital World works..."
"But why?! Isn't there enough suffering in OUR world?!"
"..."
Auroramon ran toward kiganomon but garurumon's blast knocked him down.
Seto clenched his fists until they began to sweat.
"What are we supposed to do?" Eros asked.
"Nothing, I haven't eaten!" Lucemon replied.
Seto ran to Auroramon as garurumon ran at lynxmon.
"Auroramon! Dang it! It's my fault for commanding you around."
He picked up the cat digimon and felt some heavy breathing on the back of his neck.
"Give me strength, my only memory from my death sister.. my lucky charm" mumbled Juuso quietly.
"Wormmon attack it!" yelled Juuso. Wormmon ran towards Garurumon and shot a net at it, but it was no use. It destroyed the net easily.
"Damnit..." said Juuso and kicked the wall.
Lynxmon started running when Garurumon turned, praying that it wouldn't follow.
Tova watched these events dully. Why are we fighting it again? she wondered. Oh, well. Hey look! That's a really pretty floor pattern! Kneeling down to look at the tiles more closely, she forgot all about the battle going on.
"Look, there is nothing we can do to help!"
Auroramon jumped out of Seto's arms just as he turned around to see garurumon right in front of him. He socked the giant wolf in the face causing extreme anger. The digimons eyes turned red and he started saying his attack "Howling Bla..."
This was the last straw for Auroramon. Digivolve to...Starrymon!
Starrymon jumped in front of Seto. Garurumon's attack had no effect on his spiky armor shell. Starrymon then used his sleeping mist to put garurumon to sleep.
Jumping on he forcefully ripped the black gear out and used shooting star to shoot it into space.
Seto stared open-mouthed at the hole in the roof as Auroramon fell back into his arms, exhausted.
Rienmon whirled around, eyes wide, and Kae's jaw moved soundlessly, looking astonished. Then, a humongous grin spread across her face, and she let out a cheer.
"Alright, Auroramon!" She said, beaming at Seto and his Digimon. Rienmon gave the two another grin, then gave one last pull on his sword, tugging with all his might. The sword came out, and Rienmon flew backwards, hitting the opposite wall. Standing and rubbing the back of his head, the humanoid Digi gave a sheepish smile before de-Digivolving to Isamon.
Tova looked up from her study of the tiles. The Garurumon wasn't attacking any more, and Lynxmon was Psychemon once again. And Seto was standing next to his Digimon, which was much bigger than it usually was, and it looked different, too.
"Umm...Yay?" she said uncertainly. "What happened?"
Takashi sighed as he looked up and saw that Garurumon had been okay now. He turned to Kiganomon and nodded. The digimon dedigivolved into Ishimon, grinning. "Well there's another battle over." He said slightly happily.
Takashi nodded. He stuffed his hands into his pockets thinking 'As long as nobody or nothing dies, I'm glad. . .' He shook his heads and looked up to see what else he could really do.
"Holy flip!" Hannah exclaimed, "The little guy digivolved!"
"Well, ya, that is what we do..." Fukimon pointed out.
Hannah noticed Garurumon, and took a tentative step forwards, looking concerned, "Is the Garurumon gonna be OK?"
Garurumon groaned, and opened his eyes.
"Un...? Humans?" His face brightened. "VISITORS!!!! YAY!!! Hi hi hi hi, welcome to my factory! I never get visitors!" He beamed. "Hey humans, you're Digidestined, yes? Goin' up the Mountain, yes? Cool! Hey, you look hungry. Follow me, the cafeteria's this way!" With that, the Garurumon pranced off, going slowly so the humans could keep up.
Kae face-faulted. Isamon sweatdropped. Then, both of their stomachs growled. They grinned at each other, and followed after the Garurumon.
Takashi couldn't believe his eyes. THIS was the digimon that had attacked them a few minutes ago?? He sweatdropped. "He's even more crazier than I think any of us are. . ." He muttered, following the digimon anyway because of hunger.
Ishimon chuckled at Takashi's comment. It was pretty much true. His stomach growled and he hurried to catch up with the others.
Aya blinked, and thought out loud, "It must've been that black thing that cactus Digi-thingy was talking about..."
Tamagomon nodded, "Yes... it seems like that is what is bringing these Digimon to attack us!"
"...HEY!" said Aya, when she reached the place where the food was, "There's BERRIES in here!"
Tamagomon made a disgusted face, and raced off in the opposite direction, "ACK! I need some time alone..."
Aya just blinked, "Oh well... more for us, I guess..."
"Cafeteria? Well, I am a little hungry." Hannah said, and fallowed Garurumon.
Fukimon ran up to Garurumon and began to talk to him, "We saw some computers over there. Do they belong to anyone?"
As he followed the others, Seto couldn't help but wonder if the gear was truly destroyed or whether it might someday come back down again in the distant future and haunt them.
"Oh yeah! The computers," Seto remembered, "So can we keep em'?"
"Yay, food!" Eros and Lucemon said together. They ran to the upper floor where the cafeteria is, a large room with tables, windows wall, and food on the buffet cart.
"Meat!? THERE IS ONLY MEAT!!! I'M A VEGETARIAN!!!!" Eros cried in frustration.
"If Eros no eat meat, I no eat meat either!" Lucemon said.
"An Italian vegetarian?" said Aya with a bit of a laugh, "Ssssssssssssscccccccaaaaaaaaaaaary thought... well, not really. Never met one though! All the Italians I've met act like savages in front of meat." Aya went over to the meat, and started to eat it, pretty much acting like a savage herself.
Hannah and Fukimon began to eat. Hannah ate normally. Fukimon shovvelled food into her mouth at turbo speed.
"Fukimon, havn't you ever heard of table manners?"
"What are table manners?"
"-.-;; Never mind."
Garurumon shook his head vigorously.
"NO! MY COMPUTERS! Mine mine mine! They're all broken, anyway." He added. "They don't work." Then, he glanced at Eros. "Well, there's no meat there because that's the MEAT buffet. There's the grains buffet, and the fruits and veggies buffet, and the dessert buffet..."
Needless to say, Kae was helping herself to the dessert buffet. Isamon, who was taking food from all the buffets, sweatdropped.
"Won't you make yourself sick again?" Isamon asked. Kae stared at him.
"O' curse nah!" She said through a mouthful of chocolate mousse cheesecake. Isamon facefaulted, but decided not to pursue the topic.
Tova suddenly realized exactly how hungry she was and grabbed some meat, vegetables, fruit, and spaghetti, bypassing the dessert buffet for later. Psychemon immediately dove for some papayas and was not seen again for a while.
Sitting down across from Hannah, Tova stabbed a big piece of pork and shoved it in her mouth. "Ah...This is just like the Old Country Buffet restaurant, except with better food." She grinned--good meat. "It's so nice not to be Hassidic..."
Seto couldn't eat. He pulled out the laptop he had taken.
"Hey!" exclaimed Garurumon, "I didn't know you already took those! Put it back! I might use it as scrapmetal for building something else that actually works."
Seto's eyes grew wide, "Well, how is this light on then? If it doesn't work, I mean."
Garurumon scratched his head, "Oww! Hmmm...I guess you got a magic touch, kid. Keep it."
Seto beamed.
Aya looked at Seto, "Wow, lucky you. I still have problems OPENING computers now days!"
She smiled, "Closest thing I've had with tecnology is this adventure... and to think all I wanted was to clean that little smudge of make-up, to impress the popular girl at her party!" She put a hand under her face, and started to laugh, "Oh ho ho ho ho!"
"Mmmm...peaches and cream!" Eros said. He and Lucemon ran towards the edible plants table and grabbed peaches. They went to the desert table and grabbed cream.
"...Wait...PEACHES AND CREAM!?" screamed Aya. She followed Lucemon and Eros through the tables and, holding the plate with peaches and cream, put her other hand under her face, "Oh ho ho ho ho!"
Tamagomon just groaned, "...Ack... no... dessert... FOOD! *Insert pretty disgusting noise here*"
Aya screamed again, "AH! HE PUKED! THE *WORM* PUKED!!! EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!"
She grabbed her Digimon out her his "mess" and glared, "Now I have to feed you again, in case you need to DIGIVOLVE!"
"Ah..." murmered Tamagomon, "Food... no..."
She stuffed as much food as she could into Tamagomon's mouth.
Eros took a bowl of fruit and put it on his head. Lucemon did the same. They then stuffed Eros' bag with fruits.
"Fruita Salada anyone?"
"Yeah, it's pretty strange considering I've never even had a computer or electronic thing before this. This digivice was going to be my first," said Seto, finally starting to eat, "got any meow mix for Auroramon, Garurumon?"
Auroramon scowled at him.
"FOOD!" shouted Juuso and runned to the meat buffet table.
"Hmmm.. That chicken meat looks good" thinked Juuso and grabbed some chicken, then he wandered to the fruit buffet table.
"Oranges.. YAY I'm in heaven!!" yelled Juuso and started eating lots of fruits.
Wormmon sweatdropped and grabbed a fruit to himself.
Fukimon finished on her food and ran over to the dessert buffet. Hannah shrugged and followed.
--five minute later--
"Soooo full uuuuupp..." Fukimon moaned. She then ran around, bouncing happily, due to the large amount of sugar that she had just eaten.
Tova watched Juuso, giggling, as she continued to eat her food carefully. "Are the oranges good?"
Takashi looked around dully. "Whoopee. . food. .." He said rather dryly.
Ishimon looked at his partner. "Aren't you going to eat?" He asked.
Takashi nodded as he started pilling a plate full of all sorts of food, meat, fruits, dessert. He sat down and started eating.
Ishimon blinked as what he THOUGHT he saw (and the truth really) was about five plates stuffed to the max filled with food. "Are. .. You SURE you're going to eat that?"
Takashi nodded nonchalantly and just continued eating.
Ishimon sweatdropped. "Great. . . I'm going to have a sick Digidestined partner. .." He muttered
"Yeah, the oranges rock!" smiled Juuso and started to eat another orange.
After some time he was full of oranges and he took some meat, he loved meat.
Grabbing maximum food he started eating more. He hadn't ate this good since when they lived in Finland. He could still remember the winters there, but then he forgot to think about Finland and continued eating. After the dessert he stood up, he was full.
"A little food rest maybe?" asked Juuso from Wormmon and started to rest.
Wormmon sweatdropped, but started resting too...
Takashi sighed as he sat back down in his chair. Although he DID finish all five of his plates. . He just HAPPENED to still be hungry. He stood up and headed towards the dessert table, trying to find if there was a strawberry cake. . .Which there happened to be. Grinning, he took a slice and put it down in front of him. "Ahhh. . " He said before continuing to grin like a little 5 year old who just got his/her favorite toy.
Aya kept stuffing Tamagomon's mouth with fruit, meat, and desserts all in one!
"Chew, Tama, CHEW!"
Tamagomon made a loud choking noise.
"CHEWWW!!!" She started hitting the worm's back.
When Tamagomon had actually SWALLOWED all of the food, he shivered, "THAT tasted like the MOST disgusting thing I ever tasted!"
Aya blinked, "So? It's all the same in here anyways!" Said Aya, poking the worm's "stomach".
"ACK! I did *not* need to to know that," he replied.
"Haaa cum oooonnn... big biggie~!" said Aya with a laugh, "When evil Digi-tudes attack us, you'll be set 'n' ready!"
"Yeah, ready to puke on them, that's for sure."
"..."
"I seriously WONDER how you HUMANS CAN EAT SO MUCH!" he said, looking around, especially at Juuso and Takashi.
"HEY! You can't blame us for having a big appetite!" Aya laughed, sitting next to Takashi, "Plus, let us eat what we want while we CAN!" She looked at Takashi, "Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight Takashi?"
Takashi didn't really care what she said at the moment. He just nodded to whatever the question is, muttering at the same time, "Mm-hmm. . ."
Ishimon sweatdropped. "He's gonna have a stomachache later. ."
Aya frowned, and asked, "What'cha eatin', Takashi?" She stared at his cake, then slooowwwly nodded. Then she glanced over at the dessert table, and her eyes brightened up.
"AAHAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE!!! WITH CREAMMM!!! AND SUGAR FROSTING!!!!! AND A *STRAWBERRY* ON TOP!!! A *STRAWBERRY* I TELLS YA!!!!!"
She practically jumped on the dessert table, grabbed the WHOLE cake and ate it in one gulp.
"Mmm... chocolate cheese..."
Tamagomon sweatdropped like mad, "...This is only a nightmare.... only.... a nightmare.... HOW CAN THAT HUMAN BE ANYTHING *CLOSE* TO A DIGIDESTINED?!"
Eros finished eating, probably the least of everyone. He sat in his chair and gazed out the window walls.
"Hey, there is some kind of castle in the distance!" he yelped. A pink castle lay surrounded by multicoloured flags in the distance.
Seto finally layed his eyes on the food. "Hello!!!!" He ran to the table and grabbed everything he'd never seen before.
"You have most of this stuff in your world don't you, Seto?" asked Auroramon.
"As far as I know, we might have all of it. I've never actually left the country and there are no ethnic restaurants around," he answered, "eat up Auroramon and restore your energy. I know that took a lot out of you."
Auroramon didn't hear this, being asleep.
As he replied to Aya's question, Takashi nodded again, "Mm-hmm. . ." He had actually already grabbed the strawberry cake and started eating out of that. He knew that if he ate too fast, he'd be full quick. And he still had enough room for MORE food.
Aya just sighed, "I'm in heaven right now..."
Tamagomon whispered to Ishimon, "...How do you feel of YOUR Digidestined?! I mean, I have like the strangest one of 'em all! Takashi is reasonable, not normal, but REASONABLE. Well, since all these kids seem to act the same, I guess it IS normal... just not what I expected."
Ishimon sweatdropped. "Really? Wow. . . Too bad he isn't listening. I think he'd take that as a compliment." He turned to his partner, "I guess he isn't too bad. . ."
Kae had been helping herself to the desserts. Yup, this whole time. And, believe it or not, she'd already eaten more than Takashi. Typical little kid behaviour; dive at the sweets. Isamon had been nibbling at this, gorging that, and right now, he was full. Kae, who finally finished eating, glanced out the window at the castle when Eros pointed it out, then turned to Isamon.
"Isamon, do you get more human-like as you digivolve further?" She'd remembered some of the other Digimon telling their Partners about Digivolution, so she was curious. Isamon blinked.
"I don't know. I'd never Digivolved beyond rookie before I met you..." He shrugged. Then, he cocked his head. "Why?" Kae shrugged. Isamon blinked. "Oh. Hey, you want this back?" He asked, flicking his tail at the bandanna still around his neck. Kae nodded.
"Yeah." She untied the bandanna, and re-tied it on her head, then moved her goggles from around her neck so that they were on top of the bandanna.
Garurumon watched the humans, mildly interested. When Eros pointed out the castle, he grinned.
"That's dreamland! It's the place where Digi-dreams are invented and created! I know the Digimon that run the place; they're called Starmon and Dreammon. Why don't you head there tomorrow? It's getting dark now," Garurumon glanced at the darkening sky through the window, then grinned at them all. "There are two bedrooms over there, with eight beds each. How about, girls and their Digimon in one room, boys and their Digimon in the other? See you in the morning!" With that, he trotted off.
Kae grinned, and made off towards where Garurumon had indicated the bedrooms to be, and entered the girls' side. Isamon followed, and they both went to bed. Isamon was asleep instantly, but Kae lay awake, waiting for the other girls and their Digimon.
Takashi sighed, sitting back. He wasn't full but he decided he'd eat later tonight or something. He stood up and followed the Garurumon to the rooms he had pointed out for the males. Looking around, he searched for a bathroom or AT least somewhere he could wash clean. The last time was. . . Well last night but still.
Aya yawned and followed Kae into the girl's section. "Is there a bathroom or something in here? I mean, I hated to go outside, and I need a toilet to sit in for once."
