Kamika sweatdropped. "Right. . ." She muttered as she turned to Kyrainia. "You okay?" She asked, half not expecting a response.

Bitmon, on the other hand, was rather insulted by the turn down from Chris. "What? Is there a PROBLEM with land digimon?" She huffed.

Kamika just sweatdropped again.

"Am I ever?" she muttered to herself, looking down at Mushroomon. She looked up at Kamika. "But as far as you need to know, yes, I'm fine. Perfectly fine and dandy," she said sharply. They really didn't need to know anything about her. They already knew more than she wished they did.

Kamika shrugged. "If you . . . Say so. . ." She said. Turning to the others, she asked, "So are we gonna move anytime soon?" That was BEFORE she noticed something. "Er. . . Aren't we missing someone?" She asked.

"Well, if we're gonna go, let's go already!" Isthian leaned down, holding onto Maildramon tightly with his legs, and caught Hayamon up in his arms. He sat up straight again -- pulling on Sayu in the process -- and settled Hayamon down in front of him where he wouldn't fall off. He held a hand out to Fiona to help her mount.

By this time, Fiona was in a hurry to go and had given up on any protestations. She grabbed Isthian's hand and pulled herself up, and then caught Penguinmon as he jumped up himself. She then began to mutter things under her breath. She didn't like this. She didn't like this one bit.

Christo glared back at Kyrainia. "What the hell did I do?" she whispered to Labramon, helping her digi up onto the Maildramon.

"Alrigh', Mayldr'mon, let's go!" Sayu snapped in her Digimon's ear, so Maildramon took off, careful to stay close to the ground so Bitmon could see and follow him. After some flying, they arrived at the hut. "Oy! Scub'mon, D'vermon!" Sayu hollered (again in Maildramon's ear). The two marine Digimon stuck their heads out the door of the hut, and, seeing the three champion Digimon, were shocked into blinking stupidly as Sayu showed the other Digidestined the way to the downstairs cave. As soon as all the humans were off of him, Maildramon dedigivolved to Gizamon, and as soon as he was in the downstairs cave, he jumped into the water, swimming contentedly.

Taira ducked behind the bushes and silenced Foxmon as she tried to run to the others. "I said we are going to follow them. I really don't want to deal with them all right now!" She whispered harshly. The two small digimon she had sweatdropped and sat on the floor as Taira glared out back at the people as they started to leave. "We will track them soon enough."

Chris flinched at the glare from Bitmon. "No, I just felt like flying instead... no offense!" As Maildramon took off, Chris patted Saibdramon's shoulder lightly, and they followed, also staying close to the ground. As always, Chris loved the feel of flying... there was really nothing like it.

After a relatively short flight, they landed at what appeared to be a relatively ramshackle dwelling. Chris got off of Saibdramon, who promptly dedigivolved and followed Chris inside. "Whoa!" Chris was rather startled to see a huge underground lake in the middle of a desert. He turned to see Tekumon focused on the two new digimon.

"Scubamon. Ultimate Digimon. Sea Animal digimon. Swims at high speeds, and has a deadly Striking Fish and Fishing Rod attack. Divermon. Ultimate Digimon. Sea Animal digimon. Similar to Scubamon. However, does not carry the same harpoon/jetpack, and is black, rather than blue. Has the same Striking Fish attack, but not Fishing Rod."

Chris blinked. "Tekumon.... how do you know all that?"

Tekumon shrugged. "Dunno... it just pops into my head."

"Hmm... okay." Chris turned to the two digimon, Scubamon and Divermon. "So, what are you two water digimon doing here in the middle of a desert?"

Scubamon and Divermon exchanged glances. Then, Scubamon burst out with a rush of words, as if he'd been wanting to say this for a while.

"Lord Metalseadramon heard us talking about him, just as we were agreeing that he's a self-satisfied, bigheaded, overly commanding jerk, but he IS! Almost all his underlings except the really really evil nasty ones are afraid of him! And there are some of us - Divermon and Gizamon and Whamon and me - who really really hate hate HATE him! You know Puppetmon? Machinedramon? Lord Metalseadramon's like them! 'Cause the three of them, and," here, Scubamon gulped, "HIM are the Dark Masters, and they took over the Digiworld, and it used to be a beautiful place of freedom and prosperity and it was so PEACEFUL! But then the Dark Masters came, and everything's gone downhill from there. Right now, see, we're on Spiral Mountain. For some reason, when you Digidestined came from your world, you all landed on Spiral Mountain, instead of in the actual Digiworld. You haven't seen what a mess it is! It's crumbling, all falling apart!" Scubamon paused to take a breath, and when he did, Divermon started talking, in his soft-spoken way.

"It says in the legends that the Digidestined will save our world in its time of need. So, of course the Dark Masters were worried when they heard of you. You understand our predicament. You will help us, won't you?" He sighed. "And it's been so long since anyone on Spiral Mountain went down to Digiworld... who really knows what's happened to everyone there? For all we know, some other dark sovereign could have taken over down there and be ruling them. All you need to know, though, is that you won't be able to return to your world until our world is completely safe." Divermon turned darkened eyes up to the Digidestined. "No one likes to fight, or hurt others. But you must do this quickly, and since this is a world created of super-technology, intelligently. We are all depending on you."

Isthian blinked stupidly at the marine Digimon, holding Hayamon safely in his arms. "Are you guys just speaking gibberish, or did that actually mean something to you?"

"Wow," said Christo, "I had no idea this thing went so deep. And... who's HIM?"

Chris blinked at all this new information. "Wow... we're in legends? We're supposed to save the digiworld in times of need?" He scratched his head. "And we can't go home till we save this place? Well, how ARE we supposed to save this place? We don't even really know what we're doing. All we've been doing is trying to survive, I guess... and not doing a great job of it, at that. Maybe you could help us, though. How exactly do we save this place? We're not even that powerful!" He looked at Tekumon. "Did you know all of this, by the way?"

Tekumon blinked. "Well, kinda... but remember, I came into existence only a short time ago... roughly around the time you were born in the real world, I think. So I knew a bit of what was going on, but mostly I hid until I felt your presence... then I met up with you."

Chris nodded hesitantly. "O...kay...." He turned to the rest of the kids. "So, what do you think we should do now? Apparently we've gotta go save this place and stuff before we can go home..."

Scubamon shrugged. Divermon blinked.

"Who knows, who cares? Just... run around and... like, beat the baddies." Scubamon suggested hesitantly. Divermon snorted in amusement.

Gizamon chanced a glance at Sayu. Uh-oh. Looks like the extremely active volcano was about to explode again.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN BY 'SAVE THE WORLD?!' NO BLOODY WAY AM I GOING TO HELP YOU SORRY EXCUSES FOR THINGS! I HOPE ANUBIS EATS YOU ALL!"

Needless to say, Scubamon and Divermon were scared out of their wits, so they hid behind Chris. Bad idea, because that just reminded Sayu of how much she hated Chris. So, she grinned maliciously and walked forward, a death threat glistening in her red-flecked eyes. Then, she attempted to pounce on Chris.

Gizamon, in one of his (very few) intelligent moments, was hiding in the water, since he had already learned of Sayu's profound dislike of being wet.

Kamika, who had stayed quiet the whole time, just sighed, as though that was the ONLY response she could think of.

Puttimon blinked at her partner. "Are you okay?"

Kamika smiled back weakly. "Absolutely. .. Magnificent." She muttered, looking down, not paying attention to anything around her and THAT included the little attack Sayu was about to do to Chris.

Kyrainia just stayed quiet.

Isthian grinned as he saw the new girl attempt to beat the heck out of Chris -- a noble goal under any circumstance, he felt. Especially since it meant she was going to be working out her excess aggression on the American boy, not Thian himself.

He put Hayamon on top of his head, as he was starting to feel a little heavy, and looked around at the group. "Well, if we've got a world to save, why are we just standing around here instead of, oh, I don't know, EATING BREAKFAST? I don't know about you guys, but I'm starving here!"

"Yeah!" squeaked Hayamon from his perch on Thi's head. "That Ultimate digivolving really takes it outta ya!"

Chris screeched at the unexpected attack and dodged hastily. This caused Sayu to miss completely and fall into the water. However...

Chris, as we all know, is not a prime physical specimen. So his clumsy dodge ended up landing HIM in the water, too.

*SPLASH*

"AW, come ON! We're in the desert, and I'm freaking WET?"

Taira convinced Foxmon to digivolve into MetalFoxmon. Once she had mounted her own digimon, Poromon hopped aboard and clung to Taira. Eventually the trio had made its way to the pushing fight. A new girl was pounding the crap out of Chris. Though she didn't recognize the girl, it still enraged her. "MetalFoxmon... Fly by them... Now!" Placing Poromon down, as the large champion digimon swooped low, Taira jumped off and landed on the ground. After standing she gave a brief warning... "Back away from the Pod man..." She gave a soft glare..."Now.."

Kyrainia rolled her eyes. "Damn, I was really hoping the bastard would finally get murdered. Pity."

Sayu paused her pounding of Chris, still holding him by the collar of his shirt. She gave Taira an icy glare.

"Make me." She hissed, a sneer curling her upper lip. Gizamon took a step closer to his Partner hesitantly, in case she was getting herself in over her head. Scubamon and Divermon watched in awe.

Kamika's attention snapped to the business between Taira and Sayu. Not liking the fact that Chris was currently getting hurt, she promptly walked her way over to the three. Without caring, she pushed Sayu off Chris and tried to help him up. "Are you okay?" She asked, hoping not much had happened.

What the - ?? HEY!!! Sayu glared daggers at Kamika.

"Bitch." She snapped angrily, not caring about Taira anymore, though years on the street had taught her to keep an awareness of the threat behind her. "I'll kill you later." She promised Chris darkly, before throwing a glare at Taira and stomping out of the room. Gizamon started to follow, but she kicked him away, so he stayed down in the cave with the others. She climbed the stone steps, back to the hut. Looking around, she spotted a room off to the side, and entered it. There was a huge chest in the room, and, opening it, she saw hoards and hoards of... clothes. Interesting. Well, hers were all wet. She pulled out a tight, black, sleeveless shirt, a pair of black jeans, a black vest, and a pair of black leather gloves with the fingers cut off. Smirking to herself, she made sure the door was closed and locked before she changed, not forgetting to stick her digivice on her jeans.

There was a mirror off to the side, so she was able to observe herself in her new outfit. She cocked her head in thought, then undid the piece of string that kept her hair up in a ponytail, and stuck the bit of string in her pocket. She finger-combed her hair briefly, so it had a wild, untamed look. Smirking with approval, she unlocked the door, and went back down to the cave, considerably more cheerful now that she wasn't wet anymore.

Hayamon blinked hopefully at Taira. "Hi there!" he squeaked. "Do you have any food?"

Chris shook himself off after Kamika helped him up. However, he was rather bruised... quite severely.... around the face area. "Why does this always happen to ME?" He looked at both Kamika and Taira. "Thanks for your help... I don't know what's with her. Everyone..." Here he glared at Kyrainia. "...seems to want me dead right now." He looked at Taira. "Where did you get to, anyway, TG? I noticed you were gone a little while ago. I was starting to get worried." He saw Sayu reenter, and did a double take. "What the- where did she get those clothes?!"

Sayu preened. She very much liked her new clothes. "I found 'em in some chest upstairs..." She sneered. Then, she eyed Chris. Oh, yeah. She wanted to kill him, didn't she? In her cheerfulness in finding such a cool outfit, she had totally forgotten. Well, he had his girlfriends with him now, but -- Wait. Girlfriends? As in, multiple? "I'll getcha when ya don't have your girlfriends to protect ya, pervert." He was a pervert. She, on the other hand, had much more class than that. No, she was a first-rate thief. And murderer. She shrugged that thought away. Fights broke out over food and territory among the orphaned and homeless. These things happened. Sure, she didn't HAVE to stick a dagger in her opponent, but it made things a lot easier. Daggers... Ah, dammit. She was just realizing that the one thing that would really come in handy in the Digiworld was sitting back in her alleyway.

"A chest upstairs? Cool... maybe I should see if there's anything new for me. These clothes are starting to get a bit overworn..." Chris then heard Sayu's second comment. "Pervert? Wha?" He looked at Kamika and Taira, and flushed. "Hey, you're getting the wrong idea!"

Sayu simply snickered. He was still gonna die, though. Yes yesh. She would have her revenge on him for defeating her, back in that huge fortress. Whether he had been possessed or not. And, once he was dead, she was going to find the thing that had possessed him, and whatever it was, kill it, too. She did not like being beaten in the least.

Gizamon looked at his Partner in concern. That maliciously evil insanish look on her face never meant anything good.

Scubamon, who had been zoning out these past few moments, finally realized what Sayu was saying.

"Chest upstairs? HEY! Those're miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine..." He pouted. Sayu turned to him. Her eyes narrowed dangerously. Scubamon squeaked, and backed away, glancing at Gizamon. "Your Partner's scaaaaaaaaaaaaaary..."

Scubamon spent the next ten minutes running away from Sayu. He finally figured out to jump in the water, and Sayu, glaring angrily at the wet stuff she hated so much, sulked.

Taira let a soft pink hue fall across her cheeks briefly as she heard "Girlfriends." She cracked her neck and drew her hair back up into a pony tail and placed her goggles on top of her head. "Now, I will give you a slight warning...Miss Sayu was it? I don't like you because you are attacking my friend. I currently don't give a shit about whether you like me right now. You are on my bad list and I can make you disappear so quickly off this bizarre plane of existence you won't even have time to change next time. Now if you are smart, and from the look of it, you're not... I suggest you not try and harm my friends again. I'll be watching you. And you won't see me, but I'll see you." With that she threw her backpack onto the ground and a load of food poured out of it. "Have this...The old contents no longer seem all that important." Her head phones were placed around her neck and a wire moved towards her back. Dusting off her pants she gave a small smile. "You're welcome, Kamika and Chris... Sorry I have to run now..." Taira paused to see everyone else. She looked to the ground and paused before hopping onto MetalFoxmon and taking to the air again. Clinging to Poromon Taira gave a final sigh.. "Girlfriends...Hmph."

Sayu's eyes flashed, then narrowed. "Don' think you know me. 'Cause trus' me, you don'. I've killed others b'fore, an' I wouldn' hesitate to do it again. Can you say the same?" She hissed angrily. Gizamon started, and stared at Sayu. He hadn't known that, and he was her Partner!

Chris blinked. "Taira, you're leaving... again?" She flew off without a response, and Chris slumped. "We always seem to split up in one way or another these days." He then heard Sayu's remark about killing people, and eeped quietly, backing quickly away from her. In doing this, his foot bumped up against the food that Taira had left. He looked down, and noticed it. "HEY! FOOD!" He immediately sat down and grabbed an apple, starting to munch on it.

Of course, then Tekumon showed up and started attacking the food, too. Tekumon beckoned all the other digimon over. "Let's eat, everyone!"

"Well, kill the bad guys. They, unlike some people, deserve it. Go use your famous killing skills on whatever possessed Chris." Christo told Sayu, then she and Labramon munched on the random food, grateful for it. Christo couldn't remember when she'd last eaten.

"Clothes upstairs?" Christo commented, after swallowing. She sniffed at herself, "Ew... I should prolly go look. I really need a change of clothes." And she went upstairs, Labramon following her.

She was looking through the clothes chest. She held up a pink, flowery dress.

"Ew... no way." she put it back.

"What's wrong with it?" Labramon cocked her head to the side.

"It's pink."

"So are my ears."

"It's flowery."

"So is the grass."

"You are impossible!"

Christo eventually found some new clothes she liked--a pair of blue jeans-that-had-been-cut-into-shorts-I-don't-know-the-proper-word-for-them, an off white vest-top, and a green short sleeved thin jacket. She kept the bandana, of course. Nobody EVER touches the bandana. If anyone touches the bandana, they die.

She came back to the group, vowing infinite death on the next person to touch her bandana.

Kamika flushed when she heard "girlfriends" from Sayu. Not bothering to correct her, since there were some certain occasions where this might have been true, she just followed Christo upstairs. After waiting for her go at the chest of clothes, she looked around for something she could wear. "Hmm. . ." She muttered as she pulled out a new outfit, which mainly consisted of jeans, a white tanktop and a white long sleeve shirt (which she just tied around her waist). Sighing, she went back down, not really saying much.

Puttimon watched her partner with concerned eyes. "Kamika?" She asked.

Kamika looked at her digimon and smiled brightly. The digimon just nodded as though she knew something.

Taira kept her eye on the blinking dots centered on her digivice. She knew where they were and could even hear some talking. How she didn't know...nor did she care at that moment. "If Sayu thinks she frightens me she is wrong. She doesn't know if I have killed. I have a soul to let mercy to those who deserve it. I just scare them to the point of crying... AND WHO DOES SHE THINK SHE IS! THE QUEEN OF EGYPT!" She paced around arms flying randomly into the air. The light glint of the goggles still connected to her forehead. Letting her hair down she looked over to her partner and the blinking Poromon. "What are you guys looking at! Girlfriends! I'll show her! And she doesn't know a damn thing about what I did. I killed Sora! Sure she was... Destroyed by Chris, but I made him do it!"

Foxmon grinned, isn't there a saying or something... "The devil made me do it?" Taira face vaulted and groaned into the ground. "You understand nothing!" Sniffing the air and looking down at her clothing she grinned. "Oh Foxmon..." The dedigivolved animal blinked. "WHA-" ...SPLASH! "Time for me to clean up!" Poromon ducked behind a bush as Taira cleaned her clothing and hung them to dry, then jumped into the stream herself. "Got to love the forest.."

Crackle...Crackle...Snap! "...Shhh...."

Hayamon joyously leapt from Thian's head to gorge on the food -- but was caught in mid-air by Thian again. "Bit of a far drop down to the ground, don't you think?" asked the boy with a smirk as he put the tiny Digimon down by the backpack. He snagged some fruit himself. "Not bad!" he praised -- with his mouth full, of course.

It took Isthian another minute or two to notice the new attire of most of the rest of the gang. "Hey, what's the deal with all that?" he asked, gesturing with a half-eaten pear.

"Oh," said Hayamon, before pausing to swallow his mouthful. "The other Digidestined said something about there being a chest of clothes upstairs somewhere."

"A chest, huh? With clothes, huh? Upstairs, huh?"

"... You're doing that just to be annoying, aren't you?"

"Could be!" Isthian snagged another apple from the pile and stood up, tossing it in his hand. "I'm gonna go get a change, then!"

"But, Thi! Those clothes don't belong to you! They're Scubamon's!"

"Well, if he has a problem with it, I guess you'll just have to digivolve again and protect me! No prob!"

"But... Thian!"

"Aww, c'mon. Hey, I might not care about those 'fashion' things at all, but you've gotta admit, this is kinda ridiculous." Thian plucked at his ripped and bloody t-shirt in explanation.

"Well... yeah... but..."

"Hey, I ain't sayin' you've gotta come. I'll be back down in a minute!" And with that, Thian sprinted up the stairs, taking a bite of the apple as he ran.

He returned a few minutes later, true to his word. He was now clad in a fresh pair of blue jeans and a bright green t-shirt, as well as his old black headband and sneaks -- basically, an outfit as close to his original one as he could manage, considering that, unfortunately but understandably, Scubamon didn't seem to own soccer jerseys. Hayamon was very thankful to note that, by some inexplicable miracle, Isthian had remembered to keep his digivice. It hadn't seemed very likely.

Isthian took another look around the dwelling, and couldn't help noticing that there didn't seem too much to do in it. So he was stuck making idle conversation. He walked over to Fiona. "Hey, baby," he purred, licking the bitten edge of his apple suggestively, "how's it goin'?"

Fiona looked at Isthian and blinked. "Uhm... okay, I guess..." and then she blinked again, realizing he was wearing new clothes. "Where'd you get those? Are there more?" She glanced at her own clothes, which had been reduced to rags over the last three days. "Clothes don't seem to last very well in this world."

Kyrainia noticed that people had been going and getting new clothes and so she decided, 'Hey, why the bloody hell not?' Not that she really had anything else to do anyway. Going to wherever the trunk was, and opening it and all of those other menial tasks to actually get to the clothes, she finally just changed into blue jeans and a red T-shirt. And she found some black socks that she chose to rip apart and make into wrist bands. She didn't feel that whoever the clothes belonged to would get them back anyway. Making sure that she had all her lock-picking equipment and everything else, she went back to the group, not saying anything and just quietly observing. Not that she really gave a damn anyway.
