Shadow Takeru:
Soushi awoke to the warm sun on his face.
Which was odd. It was raining just a second ago.
He opened his eyes and looked around, the sun was out.
More importantly, he seemed to be in a forest of some kind.
The odd machine he had found in his room was still with him. He placed it on his belt clip, and started to wander slowly though this strange place...
Incubumon:
Slade wakes up in the midst of an unusual forest. He looks around and says to his inner self, "Well, now look what we've stumbled into. I hope we can get out of this safely." The device in his hand seemed inert, and lifeless. He attached it to his belt, and chose a direction he figured was north and began walking.
Nathan:
As soon as Nathan grabbed for the device, it glew, there was a bright
light, and Nathan was gone...
"Huh? Where am I?" Nathan said as he opened his eyes. He got up and looked around. All around him was nothing but forest. He then noticed that the device he saw was lying on the ground. Nathan got down and picked it up, staring at it in his hand, he then pressed one of the buttons and a little red dot appeared on the screen. The red dot seemed to be pointing somewhere. Nathan positioned the device ahead of him so he can keep an eye on the dot, and he began walking.
Incubumon:
Slade walks on for a few minutes, and sees someone else. "Human, definitely, but is he..." Slade's inner self asks. "I think so" Slade says in a low voice to himself. He walks over to Soushi and asks, "You got a strange device like this one, too, huh?" He holds up his digivice; colored midnight blue, with silver highlights.
Shadow Takeru:
Soushi suddenly jumped at the realiziation that he wasn't alone in this forest.
Turning around, he saw a boy, a bit taller than him, walking towards him.
"Th... this?", he said, holding up his Digivice, green with black highlights, "This thing? I don't know what it is... But yeah. I have it too..."
He silently pondered for a moment, and then spoke again.
"Yours didn't happen to fly out of your computer screen, narrowly missing your head, did it?"
Incubumon:
Slade shook his head, "No, mine came out of my computer screen after I fixed a weird HTML code string. Anyways, from what the blasted thing flashed at me before I wound up here, they're called 'digivices'." Slade shrugged, "Well, we can't find out more about this by just standing around. Before this goes too far, let's introduce ourselves, shall we? My name is Slade, Slade Hattori." He offers a slight bow of his head, in keeping with martial arts tradition.
Nathan:
Nathan continues to walk using the direction the red dot is pointing, he just climbs up a small hill and he hears talking. He sticks the device into his pocket and grabs a fairly thick tree branch and holds it in front of him.
"Who's there??"
Takeru Takaishi's Gurl:
Nazia put down the phone and went back to her computer. She still had the device thingy in her
hand. Well she put it down and decided to change really fast into something a little comfy and normal. That meant a shirt and a pair of jeans. Well, she back to her computer and suddenly a really bright flash came from the computer. She picked up her device thingy and the last thing she saw on the computer was Digital World and then a picture of the device thingy and it said Digivice. Well, after that she was somewhere she totally knew that was not her room.
"Man where the heck am I?" Nazia said to herself since nobody else was around. She decided that it was no use of sitting around and doing nothing, and stood up to look around. "Beep Beep Beep" "Huh what was that?" She looked at her Digivice and it was beeping while there where 2 dots on it. She decided to try to find what the 2 dots meant. After two hours....
Shadow Takeru:
"Digivice?", Soushi stated in confusion, "... Whatever. My name's Soushi Yaminouchi, and..."
Just then, he noticed a voice comming from the trees.
"Who's out there???"
Incubumon:
Slade's Digivice beeped twice. He looked at the screen and saw four dots: two next to one another, which he surmised were himself and Soushi; one jsut a bit away from them, which he guessed was that voice they heard; and one a bit away from them all. He turns to Soushi, and says, "Soushi, look at your Digivice. It seems to be able to track certain objects, like other digivices, maybe. Then these two dots..."
Shadow Takeru:
Soushi held the 'digivice' in his hand and looked at its screen- Indeed there WERE several dots on the screen...
"These two dots here... Must be us. That one is nearby... And there's another, further away..."
He looked around for a moment in silence.
"Just like us... Let's find the other... And then maybe figure out where we are..."
He looked in the direction of the voice, where Nathan was standing in the shadow of a tree, almost as if hiding.
"... Are you gonna come out? We're not staying here, and we should stick together..."
Nathan:
Nathan walks towards them slowly, holding the thick tree branch by his side. "Who are you?"
Incubumon:
Slade looks at the boy, and says, "You can put the foliage down. We aren't a threat. As for who I am: Slade Hattori." Agan Slade does the slight bow of his head. Slade smiles a bit, as he taps his wristband chains together, and asks Soushi, "Well aren't you going to introduce yourself, Soushi?" Slade looks at the digivice, that other dot seems to be getting a bit closer...
Shadow Takeru:
Soushi frowns for a moment. All this attention and talking in such a short frame of time. Already, he longed for the computer in his room, and already did he miss the rain outside his window...
He turned to Nathan, almost as though he were an afterthought.
"I'm Soushi Yaminouchi. As Slade said, we're not a threat here... But I don't think we're safe. There's still one last dot on these... 'Digivices', probably another lost child like us..."
He held his digivice up, and determined the direction of the last blip. Once he found it, he pointed in that direction.
"There. The last one is this way. Let's find him and get out of here."
There was still the question of where 'here' was, let alone how they'd get home...
Nathan:
Nathan drops the tree branch and walks towards Soushi and Slade. "I'm Nathan Hetherington."
Takeru Takaishi's Gurl:
"Ok, this Digivice says there is 3 dots coming closer to where my dot is. I guess this is right. Well, I might as well try to get closer to the dots maybe they are humans." Nazia said looking at her Yellow digivice with green highlights. She was looking at her digivice while running to where those dots/humans might be.
Incubumon:
Slade says, "Hmm, that fourth dot is getting closer, really fast, guys. I'll go and meet whoever it is." Slade dashes off through the underbrush and runs right into Nazia. He looks at her and blurts out, "Oh sorry. I was just looking... hey, YOU'RE A GIRL!!!!" He stands up, and shouts to Soushi and Nathan, "guys, I found the other child." He turns to her, "Forgive me, I am usualy better mannered than this. My name is Slade Hattori, and it appears we all have the same type of device." He holds his up and shows her.
Shadow Takeru:
Soushi quickly ran off after Slade. Nobody knew what they were up against here, they all had to be careful...
... Which, of course, noone was doing.
"Slade, I told you we have to stick together, wether or not the last boy is nearby or not. It could be dangerous around here, and..."
Just then, he saw Nazia. Who clearly was NOT a boy...
"... Um. ... I take it you're lost too...", he said to the girl.
He didn't know what to make of any of this...
Nathan:
Nathan ran just behind Soushi towards Slade.And he saw the girl. "Uhhh....hi...I'm Nathan..."
Takeru Takaishi's Gurl:
Nazia was running toward the three dots, but suddenly bumped into Slade.
"Omigod! I'm sorry! I was looking for 3 dots that were on my Digivice to see if they were human. Well, I guess I found you guys."
The three guys were looking at Nazia in awe for some reason.
"Man, am I lucky. I got stuck in another world with 3 guys, well they are decent looking unlike at my school." Nazia thought in her head.
She got up and decided to introduce herself. "Hello my name is Nazia Rashid. And I am lost like the rest of you. Also I think that is another world we are in and there no other humans like us. And may I ask what your guys' name? And also better not make fun of my name or you might get beat up by me."
Incubumon:
Now, Slade looked at Soushi. He didn't normally like someone giving him orders, but this situation required a cool head, and his wasn't the most qualified. He apologetically says, "Sorry, Soushi. I guess I'm still thinking like a loner, being that I've been training in martial arts for a few years now. I'd rather risk my neck alone, than all of our necks at once. Something about the needs of the many..." Slade clinks his wristband chains against his beltloop chains, obviously nervous around so many strangers.
meg-san:
She sits, a bit bleary-eyed, staring at the strange device in her hand. She had played with the buttons, banged it on the ground, and even unscrewed the back to check the insides, but it remained a pale, plastic mystery. The screen was blank. Broken. Every now and then, snatches of speach catch her ear, but she tunes them out, focusing on the queer piece of machinery that plainly had something to do with her present situation.
'Geez. C'mon, Aen, you gotta get back home in time to cook something or it'll be leftover pizza fer a week . . .' and so she grumbles to herself. She dusts her skirt off as she stands up. And freezes. A light, almost disturbingly cheerful voice gushes something, followed by lower voices. She inches closer to the source of sound, keeping herself hidden in the underbrush. A small group of kids in a clearing: a white-haired punk in chains, a smaller boy with clear eyes, a bubbly girl, and another boy, who was staring at the girl. Aen caught the last phrase from the white-haired boy, and frowned.
"I'd rather risk my neck alone, than all of our necks at once. Something about the needs of the many..."
Nathan:
Nathan hears a little rustle of leaves at the edge of the clearing. He looks in the direction of the light sound, thinking to himself "Its probably nothing", but he notices something in the underbrush. "Who's there?"
Shadow Takeru:
Soushi ran a hand through his hair in mild exasperation. All these people... He was feeling a bit
strained himself. And as usual, he was the only one who could be counted upon to not lose his head and start panicking...
"So, you're Slade, you're Nathan, you're Nazia", he said, pointing to the three in turn, and then pointing to Aen, "And you're sneaking up on us. That isn't very friendly of you. ... We should stick together... ... This means you, Slade..."
He took a deep breath, taking a few steps away, with his back turned to everyone.
"Another world? It could make sense, but if there aren't any humans, then what lives here?"
As if in answer to his question, there was a sudden explosion of movement from the underbrush, and two odd creatures leapt into view! The first looked like a deranged, animated candle, the second, a purple football-shaped thing with bat wings...
CANDLEMON

Candlemon came to rest before Slade, Tsukaimon hovered before Aen. Soushi rubbed his eyes in disbelief and turned away again.
"Ask a stupid question..."
meg-san:
She stared at the kids, then at the hovering beast in front of her. Stick together? What? With all these kids? Visions of past babysitting jobs flittered before her eyes . . .
Tsukaimon, in a weirdly high-pitched and frustrated voice, spat, "Aren't ya gonna say anything? How rude. Sneaking up on these kids. I can't believe I wasted my time looking fer a brat like you."
Aen blinked, bewildered, and turned her back on the whole group, trying to hide her reddening face. Two ideas, the basic instinct of flee or fight, flashed through her head. Ditch the kids. Take care of the kids.
Which . . . Which one . . . What do I do?
Incubumon:
Slade looked at the bewildering little candle in front of him, and said half-heartedly, "I guess you've been looking for me, huh?"
The creature looked up and said, in a thick, yet semi-fluid voice, "Yeah. You're my partner. I'm supposed to protect you. I'm Candlemon. Nice to finally meet you, Slade."
Slade started, then looked up at Soushi, and said, "Look Soushi, I'm sorry about dashing off and all. I've just grown into the loner attitude. Plus, my recent heartbreak doesn't help any..." Slade takes out a pair of glossy, jet-black sunglasses and puts them on, saying to Candlemon, "Well, 'partner', maybe you should get to know me before you get too cushy with me. I'm really not the most likeable person right now..."
"But you used to be, Shi..." Here Candlemon stopped, seeing the severity in Slade's sudden gesture to not say what he was about to say.
He said, almost in a whisper, "I don't go by that name anymore. That part of me is non-existant. Please do not use it." He steps away and says to the others, as he lowers his head, "Look, I need a bit of time alone. You can keep track of me on the digivices, but I won't go very far. Candlemon, come on." Slade walks off a ways, Candlemon following slowly behind.
meg-san:
Aen glances at Slade as he stalks off, then at the other three. Taking a deep breath to calm herself, she bows politely.
"My name is Aen Sandeira. And you guys . . . are Nathan, Nazia, Soushi . . . and that was Slade?"
"And I'm Tsukaimon," the blue batpig sniffs. Aen eyes the 'mon critically.
"*Not* pleased to meet you," the 'mon smirks. It sits on her head.
" . . . Right. So, um, you guys are lost?" she shakes her head, in an attempt to get Tsukaimon off. It hisses.
Shadow Takeru:
A antisocial teen. A clearly traumatized one. Two older kids who were both less mature than he. And a bunch of talking stuffed animals.
Soushi was convinced that this day couldn't get any weirder... He sat down hard on a nearby fallen tree and spoke in a somewhat sarcastic tone.
"'Lost' would imply that we know where we are. I'd say we're 'missing'..."
He sighed softly. First order of business was to find a way out of this bizarre place, before some monsters who WEREN'T happy to see them came along...
Shadow Takeru, for Incubumon:
As Slade and Candlemon (not so) cheerfully trekked through the woods, a sudden movment caused some underbrush to shake, and unsettling noises filled the air...
Incubumon:
Slade looks at Candlemon, and asks, "You heard that, too, right?" Candlemon aparently steeled himslef for the worst, and said, "Yeah, I did." Slade lowered himself into a fighting stance, just in case he needed to spring away from a sudden attack, while Candlemon looked around intently, waiting for what was coming...
Shadow Takeru, for Incubumon:
The noises grow louder. A sudden, ear-piercing scream issues from the foliage, as a large, monkey-like beast rises from the underbrush, raises its arms high above its head, and howls
menacingly at Slade and Candlemon!
HANOUMON
Type: Beast Man Digimon

Level: Champion
Attack: Bone Rod, Hair Raisng Rage
Description: A menacing ape-man Digimon, its fur is like a tough armor, and its fierce swings from its Bone Rod have killed even the toughest opponents!
The huge beast let out an inarticulate scream. It lowered its arms, breathing heavily, staring with wild eyes at the duo before him. Sniffing the air in confusion, it suddenly snarls again, and howls in an unerring fasion, drawing the club from its back and taking a swing in the direction of Candlemon and Slade!
Incubumon:
Slade looks down to Candlemon and says, "Watch out!", just as he leaps away. Candlemon jumps aside, and shouts "Bonfire" as he throws a smallish ball of flame at Hanoumon. Candlemon's intent is to draw attention to himself rather than Slade.
Shadow Takeru, for Incubumon:
The small fireball strikes Hanoumon on the arm, causing him to pause for a second and inspect the tiny patch of fur that began to smoke from the attack. Bristiling with anger, Hanoumon quickly turned to Candlemon and clenched his hands in anger. "HAIR RAISING RAGE!!!", the monster screamed, and tens of needle-sharp strands of fur came flying at Candlemon.
Incubumon:
Slade watched as his new friend Candlemon fought with Hanoumon. He was too stunned by the whole occurance to say anything. Candlemon, seeing the attack, attempts to dodge it in order to "return fire".
Shadow Takeru, for Incubumon:
The brunt of the attack sails wide, barely winging Candlemon, but the small Digimon had circled so far away that Hanoumon ignored any counterattack, turning away...
... And instead advancing on Slade, taking another swing at him with his club!
Incubumon:
Slade was rooted to the spot as the club descended at him. Only the sudden beeping of his digivice snapped him out of it in time to make an effort to dodge away. Candlemon fired another Bonfire attack at Hanoumon, trying desperately to get his attention again, so Slade would be able to get to safety.
