Marah glared at Shakoumon before he and Hayden left with Hasaki, Racheal and their digimons, Murasakimon and BlackRenamon. "Well since you mentioned food." said Marah, a little nicer since Hasaki isn't around to make her anger boil. She then pulled out a still warm Palabok (Phillipine pancit). "I can always share with you since you're hungry." Utsurimon looked at her weirdly.
Hayden followed Hasaki, Racheal and their digimon towards the digimon that was following them. Typical. thought Hayden. Marah and Hasaki are always at each others throats. "It's probably because they like each other." said Shakoumon, as Marah gave him a poisonous look.
Ariah slipped in between Marah and Hasaki, putting some distance between the two. "There's no need to fight!" he stated. "We're a team... even if we are at each other's throats." He stated. Toucanmon just nodded, agreeing with his partner.
BlackRenamon eyed the Hasaki and Marah, wondering if they'd ever get along. "Half of you come with me and fight, the other half, stay here for backup!" The black fox declared as she began to walk. Racheal followed her digimon, knowing that there was little time to loose.
Hasaki nodded, shooting one last glare at Marah. "Count me in," he said, following the girl and the fox.
"Here we go again." said Shakoumon. "Your sister is out of control again."
The boy turned, a half amused expression on his otherwise emotionless face. "Alright," he said simply, tone surprisingly calm. "If you really want to work with me. Funny how siblings can be so different." He gave a cold laugh. "Let's go."
After hearing that remark, Marah and Utsurimon ran towards her twin brother, Shakoumon, Hasaki and Murasakimon. "Watch it Dork." yelled Marah after she punched Hasaki in the face. "I may have an attitude problem but you don't give out rude comments about me behind my back, otherwise you'd look forward in being paralyzed for life and getting teased at the fact you got your butt kicked by a girl."
Shakoumon pecked his toe. "Careful Hayden." said Shakoumon.
Hasaki clenched his fists, glaring at the girl. the tiger at his side bared her fangs, stepping in front of his and ready to stop his tamer. "Are you calling me a coward? I'm not afraid of anything let alone a piece of digital trash."
"Watch it," Murasakimon growled though he paid her no attention.
"I'm going. That's final," he snapped. "besides, it was my idea to leave this stupid place in the first place. You don't have to work with me if you don't want to. See you guys later." He walked calmly outside, disappearing from view.
"Well fine then. said Marah, rudely. "You can work with Hayden. He's more even tempered than I am." With that, she turned to Racheal, Black Renamon and Utsurimon. Maybe I'll feel better if Racheal and I checked it out instead of me and that weakling. thought Marah as she nodded her head in agreement.
"Why don't you and Racheal check it out, Marah?" said Utsurimon, facing BlackRenamon. "I mean it's not like the boys are going to check it out." She saw her partner smile at the suggestion.
Hasaki glared at Marah. "I guess that could work.... though I'd prefer if I didn't have to work with her.... Well, let's get going."
Hayden nodded his head in agreement as he and Shakoumon. "One problem though." said Hayden. "There's only five of us and strength is in the numbers. Since Marah and Hasaki wants to fight, they'll be the ones to check it out. and we can back them up when they need us."
Hasaki nodded. "That sounds fine with me. As long as I can go. I think I'll go insane if I have to stay here for one second longer."
Ariah gave a grin. "It won't get us anywhere. But it will bring our opponent to us!" he explained.
Hasaki sighed, annoyed that no one else agreed with him. As much as he wanted to go out and fight, he knew it would be stupid to do it on his own. He groaned, pacing quickly around the cave. The amethyst orbs of the tiger watched him, a half amused expression on her face. Ariah slumped forward on Joumon's back. Feeling lazy. He said nothing as even the cave was too warm to be comfortable in. By now, the summer was setting in. And it was even warmer than the Caribbean, the boy's native land. He swatted at an annoying fly that seemed to like his head.
Hasaki glanced at Ariah, still frowning. "We really have to do something! This is boring and pointless. Honestly, where will sitting around get us?"
Hasaki paced the cave, ignoring Murasakimon's annoyed stare. "Shouldn't we just fight? It's cowardly to be hiding here!" He yelled in frustration, not caring that he was probably attracting whatever was out to get them.
"Would be quiet?" Murasakimon snapped, not bothering to hide her impatience with her tamer. He glared at her. "I'll do as I want," he replied simply. "Besides, I don't normally choose to listen to talking tigers. OW. Hey!" He rubbed his leg where the tiger had scratched him, wiping away traces of blood. "What was the for?"
"I'll do as I want," she retorted, smirking. "And you deserved that as well. I'd learn to behave if I were you. Acting like a five year old is not appealing." Hasaki continued glaring at her but stopped pacing to sit down at the edge of the group.
"Maybe so." said Utsurimon. "But I'm saying that we need to watch out and be careful. If we're not careful, they can strike at us again."
Marah nodded her head in agreement as Utsurimon flickered her three tails. She then turned her attention towards her Digimon card to make sure they're all in place from known digimon moves to rare moves from power up and beyond.
Hayden looked on as Shakoumon looked at him. "Is there something wrong?" asked Shakoumon. "You have been quiet lately."
"They were probably watching us. I bet they're watching our every move. They're probably right behind us. They could attack right this second and we wouldn't even have time to think." He glanced behind him and ignore Murasakimon's coughs that sounded a lot like "paranoid freak."
Marah nodded her head with Utsurimon. At least the quietness won't be there for long. "I agree with you." said Utsurimon, agreeing with Taomon as she followed BlackRenamon. "Her attacks are Symbol of Truth and Tao Balance." Marah faced Racheal and BlackRenamon. I wonder if it even possible to do Jogress Digivolution. thought Marah as she continued to follow them.
BlackRenamon continued to walk, as she made sure that the rest of the team was still behind her and Racheal. Two, at least, were being awfully quiet. She then replied to Utsurimon. "Yes, I'm sure I know who Taomon is." She then took a turn, and walked a little further. "Here we are." She commented, trudging across some old ruins, then she entered a cave, stepping over a fallen pillar. "Taomon, it is I, BlackRenamon," she stated in a soft voice. There was a candle or two lit as they plunged deeper into the dark cavern. Suddenly, there came a character from the shadows, entering into the light.
"BlackRenamon," Taomon said. She looked at the rest of the team. "Come and go as you please, but be wary, I don't want any anonymous guests." She proclaimed.
Marah looked at him. "We'll have to keep at it." she said.
Ariah glanced at Joumon again. He then looked at Marah. "I'm not sure how much longer we can hold him off!" He cried.
Racheal nodded. "Then what do you say we chance making it back to the others?" she questioned as DarkRenamon stood behind her, agreeing with her situation, but saying nothing.
Hayden looked at Racheal. "We Will beat them." he said. "We need to work together and now. When we're divided, they'll tear us apart piece by piece. I don't want that anymore." Owlmon looked at Hayden and nodded his head. "Hasaki, Budouiromon." Hayden said, tossing a card at Hasaki. "Use the extra power booster in this card."
"We have to keep trying." Marah said. "Digi Modify, Gargomon's Gargo Blaster activate."
Gargomon's blasters appeared on Utsurimon's arms and she held them up at Veedramon, who was un impressed. "Gargo Blasters." Utsurimon said.
Racheal thought for a moment. How will we defeat these Dark Digimon? She wondered. Her blue eyes glanced at her digimon.
Marah looked Veedramon. "What do you really want with us?" she asked, angry.
"Why do you care?" Veedramon shot back.
Marah pulled out another card. Hayden took the card. "Thanks Rachel." he said. "Card Scan digi modify, Growlmon's Pyro Blast activate."
"Pyro blast." Owlmon said.
DarkRenamon looked at Racheal. "Obviously, there is no easy way to defeat the Dark Digimon." She explained as her tamer nodded before taking out a card. "Here, Hayden!" she stated, handing him a power-up card.
"Dust Storm." Utsurimon said.
Marah nodded her head.
Ariah backed up to stay out of the way of Joumon and Utsurimon while they fought. "Shimmering blast!" he shouted. Hurling another wind of blue flames at Veedramon.
"You don't want to know." Owlmon said. "She works for one of the dark digimon and we mentioned who these people were." Hayden nodded his head.
Marah nodded her head as Utsurimon and Joumon kept attacking. "DigiModify, MetalGarurumon's Metal blade activate." she said.
"Metal Blade." Utsurimon said. Veedramon tried to dodge the attack from Utsurimon.
Ariah grabbed the card, getting his digivice out. He looked at the card before pulling it through his digivice. "Digimodify. Greymon's nova blast, activate!" He half repeated from Marah.
"Nova blast!" Joumon shouted, aiming for Veedramon as well.
"Dark Sand Storm." Utsurimon yelled. Veedramon took the attacks but it didn't phase him.
Marah glared at him in extreme anger. "Try again Utsurimon." she said, turning around to face Ariah. "Have you ever played the digimon card game? It's kind of like this, use this to strengthen Joumon's attack." She then tossed the card towards Ariah. "It's a power booster." she said, pulling out another card. "DigiModify, Kyuubimon's Fox Tail inferno activate."
Utsurimon's eyes glown a paler blue than her usual eye color. "Fox Tail Inferno." she yelled, hitting Veedramon.
"Why is DarkGatomon back?" Hayden asked. He saw Owlmon look at him.
Joumon nodded at Utsurimon. Shimmering blast! He proclaimed as blue fireballs shot from his black wings. Ariah grinned. He was happy to see a place they finally fit in.
Veedramon glared at Utsutmon and Joumon as well as Marah and Ariah. "Vee Destroyer." Veedramon yelled.
Utsurimon made a blind leap and grabbed Marah out of Veedramon's attack. "Dust Storm." Utsurimon said. "Joumon now's a good time to help us."
The boy nodded. "I agree." He glanced over at his digimon who nodded as well.
"Amethyst wind!"
"Sounds like a plan to me." Owlmon said. "Midnight Clutch."
Hayden nodded his head. "How about you Hasaki." Hayden asked.
"Hey, leave him alone." Marah said, pulling out a card. "DigiModify, Gargomon's Gargo Blast activate."
Gargomon's guns appeared before Utsurimon.Ê"Gargo Blasters." she said, hitting Veedramon.
Darkrenamon leapt into the air. "Diamond storm!" she called. But when the dust cleared from the attacks, Darkgatomon still stood, hardly fased. Racheal glanced at the other two. "We should combine attacks!"
Toucanmon looked up at Ariah. "I'll be your trump card. You can use me to digivolve if Utsurimon needs our help!" he stated sort of quietly.
Ariah nodded. "Sounds like a plan."
"Vee Destroyer." said Veedramon.
Marah and Utsurtmon dodged the attack. "Dust Cloud." said Utsurimon. "Marah, protect Ariah."
"Finally, a real battle," the boy smirked. "I'm reading wherever you are.ÊMurasakimon?"
"On it. Murasakimon digivolves to Budouiromon!" She leaped into the air,Êhovering a few feet off the ground and waited for the group.
Racheal glanced back to Hayden and Shakoumon. "Let's beready!" she exclaimed as a bright light surrounded Catramon.
"Catramon, digivolve into.. Darkrenamon." the digimon said as she digivolved. Hayden looked at Shakoumon as he faced Racheal and Catramon.
"How strong of a digimon?" asked Hayden, as Shakoumnon looked at him.
"Possibly an ultimate." said Shakoumon.
Racheal glanced at the team again as a rustle could be heardfrom the brush behind the team. What is that? She asked herself, as she letCatramon jump from her arms and onto the ground. Catramon's eyes narrowed. "It's a strong digimon, I can feel it!" she explained as the fur on the back of her neck raised, and her tail puffed out. Marah kept her grounds as she glared at Veedramon with her ice-grey eyes.
"What do you want with us?" asked Marah, not letting up. "How long have you been following us?"
Veedramon glared at Marah, Ariah and their digimons. "Long enough to wait until the other three are gone." said Veedramon. "And because I was ordered by the Dark Five to annihilate all of you."
"You want a fight? I could take you any day," Hasaki snapped.
"Stop it!" Murasakimon snapped, her fangs digging into his heel again and drawing blood. "There's trouble and we have to work as a team."
"You little," Hasaki started, leaping out the way with surprising grace as the tiger lunged again.
"That is enough!"
UH-oh. thought Hayden as he checked his digivice. We got trouble. As soon as we're gone, some digimon finds my twin and Ariah. Guess we need to head back soon."How would you like to get pecked by a bird digimon?" said Shakoumon. "You unpleasant excuse of...."
"That is enough." said Hayden, dragging Shakoumon away from Hasaki.
"I'll try to keep my anger in check." said Marah, before seeing the digimon that followed them. "Utsurimon, what is that?"
Utsurimon looked at her, Ariah and Toucanmon before facing the dragonlike digimon. "That's Veedramon." said Utsurimon. "He's an ultimate digimon with an anger problem. His attack is Vee Destroyer. Don't provoke him."
Marah looked at her as she remained calm. "Wasn't planning to." said Marah. "I want to know why is he following us for. If I learned from Digimon card games, is that you always keep your cool and let your enemy attack first."
Blackrenamon looked at Hasaki and Shakoumon. "This is getting us nowhere!" she stated as she de-digivolved into Catramon again.
Racheal just nodded. "Catramon's right!" she added, picking up Catramon.
Ariah could see where this was leading. "I'm sorry, Marah. But I think I agree with Utsurimon on this. You and Hasaki need to put your own feelings behind you. And think about the team." he explained.
"Woah. I think Ariah is right for once!" Toucanmon proclaimed with a grin as Ariah have him a noogie.
"When was I wrong!" Ariah joked as Toucanmon chuckled and gave a sweatdrop.
"I know you have problems with Hasaki." said Utsurimon. "But you and him must find a way to work together without the hatred."
Marah looked at her. "Don't mention Hasaki's name again." said Marah. "That boy makes my blood boil enough to strangle him."
"Congratulations, you really do have ears." said Shakoumon. "Maybe it's better if Marah came and insulted him anyway."
Hayden sweatdropped in embarrassment. Why did I have to be stuck with that bird brain? thought Hayden. Now he had to mention Marah's name.
"I'm not really sure how I can put up with him. But someone has to do it right?" the tiger sighed.
"Do you realize I can hear you right?"
"I'm surprised you're listening for once..."
"Hey! I listen! Unless that it's that girl talking... " He quickly turned to Hayden. "No fense, I know she's your sister and all but-"
"Hasaki, shut up." Murasakimon butted him the back of the legs and none to gently.
"What, is that some knew habit of yours? Aren't you supposed to be my partner and protect me? Not like I need your protection or anything.." Hasaki replied sharply.
"Murasakimon." said Shakoumon. "How can you put up with someone as unpleasant as Hasaki? I mean look at him he's very unpleasant."
Hayden shot his digimon a warning look. "Shakoumon." said Hayden. "I want to keep the peace and you're acting like Marah. Will you just leave Murasakimon and her partner alone?"
"The same goes for you, Hasaki," Murasaki shot. "Do not pick a fight with it."
"Wouldn't dream of it...."
"We are supposed to lure it into coming for us, not the others, though." Blackrenamon replied as she glanced into the horizon of trees. Racheal nodded in agreement to her digimon.
Marah looked at him. "It wasn't only that." said Marah. "Ever since mom refusal to pay her respects, I used my anger and began playing digimon cards and in due time I learned to be hard on others and never made time to make friends. That was the only way I lived."
Utsurimon looked on as she faced Marah. "That's why I waited for you." said Utsurimon. "I knew I was destined to be partners with you."
Hayden and Shakoumon looked at BlackRenamon. "And what are we supposed to do about that?" said Shakoumon.
"We wait until the digimon comes out of hiding." said Hayden.
"Whatever you do, don't provoke it in attacking us."
Racheal would've continued to walk, had she not known what BlackRenamon would say next. "Racheal, I hear something!" the black digimon proclaimed as her eyes narrowed, and the fur on the back of her neck started to raise.
