Other info: Annie is
the smallest of the GA girls, and also the youngest and amoung the last
to arrive. (Only Suzi arrives later.) She comes to GA on what was supposed
to be her first day of school in Juban, but she didn't end up going to
school that day. Her father died that morning of a heart attack, so she
spent large portions of that day at Juban Hospital. She met the other GA
girls that afternoon right after school--Suya told her that the telephone
had gone off at lunch and scared her friends. That got Annie to smile for
the first time since she woke up that morning. Annie had a bad case of
nightmares all that first weekend in GA, so Suya sat up with her, comeforting
the small child. Annie was the first of the girls to call Suya "mama",
but the others soon saw why she did so and took up the practice themselves.

about Annie later on, after I start writing up the story of her arrival
at Juban.)
