Also known as Cardcaptor Sakura in Japan. The name was changed inAmerica so Li or Searin (jap sorry about spelling) had a bigger part.
Dub stuff
In the dub the first 7 episodes were cut out because they were said to be booring.
I disagree they covered the history behind the series
They have been sold to pioneer animation.
They were interesting.I did not actually see them but read the scripts come on we missed a few captures.
Ok well now some i beleive 2 were aired however apparently kids wb! took a bit of the capture episodes out cause this weekend the final capture aired.
Some content i found while reading the script dirrect translation.
Apparently in the original Sakura had a really big crush on Julian her bros friend and in episode 3 or like 15 they went out only in Japan in america the plot was cahanged to remove that scene. According to nelvana its still there only toned down.
I dont really like a lot of stuff Nelvana has done to the show.

Same for Madison an Sakura but Madison had a little crush on Sakura
Li liked Yaketo for some reason he felt strangely atracted to him Maylin was Lis cousin and they were ingaged at around birth

well a nother thing i discovered unless the writer of the unedited scripts at a site i go to made a mistake
they changed the cards she faught around.

Well they beleive the theme covered the history however it did not so a strang version of episode 1 was shown.

The chloe card captor when Sakura opens the book that only the chosen card captor cn open she is flung in to an adventure. She must catch the cards with the help of the guardien Kero or Carbarose (sorry bout the spelling) who was chosen by Chloe Read.

Jap name Tamoyo
She is Sakuras best friend and is portried as Sakuras sidekick. She helps her with the cards. In the american edition she is portreid as a valley girl.
You know like from Clueless. I think that this rewins her charector from the original
She was originally a extreemly smart but slightly strange girl ubsessed with photographing her best friend Sakura. In episode 1 she refurs to Sakura as cute in Japan i find that weird.

I mean constintly. She also designs her battle costumes and has a website.
In Japan she was rich and always being followed by men in black suits they are no where in site in America.
Tory
Tue i think is his original name
Sakuras brother plays little to no role.
At this point he cals her a monster all the time in the original.
Julian
Tories friend we will learn more about him later.
Japanese name Yakito
turns out to be a nother guardian named Ua or something
His job is to gudge the new cardcaptor.
Li
Sakuras rival. He is an ansestor of Chloe read. He at the begining did not think that Sakura was a cardcaptor.They later start to help each other.
He insults her constintly in the dub this changes his personality verry mouch making him seem to be a bully.
Mailin Ray
Has left the series for a while. SHe is a girl who trained with Li. She appears to have a crush on him that is verry obvious.
In Japan she was his cousin and was ingaged to him.
Ok she did Nelvana has made her his cousin lol but that being said she still acts like shes in love with him. One problem with that i heard they get ingaged.
