The most basic difference between Card Captors and Card Captor Sakura is this: Card Captors is the English version of it, and Card Captor Sakura is the Japanese Version. Now, on to more complex differences.

Main Character(s)? - Card Captors has 2 main characters, Sakura Avalon and Li Showron. Card Captor Sakura's only main character is Sakura, hence the name.

Products? - Card Captors is now starting to release many products, from the Clow Cards to Coin Tins, but still has a long way to go. Card Captor Sakura on the other hand, has products from CD's to toothbrushes!

Length of Series? - CC is a very short series, that ended on the 20th episode. But in Canade Nelvana is releasing the early episodes, so they may get more than most people expected. Card Captor Sakura had exactly 70 episodes, but they were well drawn, so thats why it stopped so shortly.
