Beautiful, shining eyes gaze into the night
You stand alone in the darkness
The darkness you created, for yourself
Trying to deal with the problems, trying to deal with the pain
Caused by another
No one can feel what you feel, but it hurts me
I so long to be by your side, in that overwhelming darkness
I want to hold your hand, as I care for you
While you live out a lonely, loathing life
I wish I could change the past
If only I had been there, I could take away the hurt
The hurt and anger that consumed both our souls
I can see you by my side
Your eyes glistening with unshed tears
I know you've held them in forever
A faint smile would be upon your lips
A rarity for you
I will laugh with joy, throwing my arms around you in a loving embrace
'You were watching me all this time,' you'd say.
'I could feel you always by my side
Though I never saw you, I knew you were there, but why?'
You will hold me closer still,
I would smile and whisper in your ear,
'Because I love you.'
I open my eyes and you are gone,
All I see is the dark haze that surrounds me,
You were never there, it was but a dream
A tear will slip from my cheek,
I will wish you could be by my side in my darkness,
But I will wait for you, and you my love, will come.
Another poem that doesn't rhyme. What's with me and poems that don't rhyme? What's with me and poems, period? Oh well, I just pull out whatever comes outta my-- *ahem* I'll be going to be now.
