| Type of creature: Rag Doll In the movie, Sally is the only character who truly understand how Jack Skellington feels. She has visions about the future, and she tries to convince Jack not to go along with his plans. However, she still agrees to help him by making his Christmas costume. Her type of character seems inspired from Frankenstein (her creator is Dr. Finklestein, the Evil Scientist). She is made of pieces of fabric and other scraps put together. Her body parts all have a life of their own and this, as we see it in the movie, becomes very handy. We also get an impression that she is Jack's romantic interest. She watches over him, often from afar. She is the shy character who wants to be noticed but whose voice is too quiet to be heard. |
